She started us off with a bit of calming breathwork & then woke up my senses by offering a sample of essential oils to enjoy, & she followed this by cueing tons of playful yet relaxing & challenging poses which opened my body in just about every single place I needed it to open up today! We were offered a very relaxing cool down period & by the end of our time I was feeling awake, aligned, & loving the present moment, & it was already time to offer Namaste to eachother at the end of class! As I said, I loved this class today & I will definately attend a class of Lauren's again.

Unfortunately, the day the original class was scheduled for was too windy to hold the class. Andrea contacted us early in the day to allow us to make other plans, and worked with the instructor to reschedule the class another day. That day came and we again got weathered out due to high winds. What are you going to do? You can't control the weather. She checked the forecast and made plans with us again for the following evening. Thoughout the entire process, Andrea and Liz (our instructor) were so kind and accommodating. Liz wanted to make sure we got to enjoy the class while we were in town and (happily) sacrificed her personal time to accommodate our schedules and the weather. When we finally made it out on the water, it was absolutly perfect and well worth the wait. We enjoyed a nice paddle and a peaceful practice watching the sunset. I can't speak highly enough of Liz, who even insisted my friend take her towel after she fell in the water (oops). The practic was so fun and was challenging in new ways - I'd highly recommend this class to anyone wanting to spice up their practice with a little something different. Even doing very simple poses takes on a new challenge and offers new visual perspectives from atop a swaying paddle board.

You still get savasana at the end (thank goodness) as well as a shoulder adjustment. For someone looking for more breathing, meditation, and longer time spent in poses, this would likely not be the best fit, however as someone who enjoys movement and exercise, I really enjoyed this class. The studio itself is located upstairs in a strip mall. There is a restroom but no water fountain/refill station. Drop-in classes are $20, which is pretty standard, however there is also a mat rental fee of $2 which I wish they waive for people visiting from out of town who didn't have space in their carry-on for a yoga mat.

My first stop after unpacking was heading back to Froggy's to sign up. While in the Keys, I went to Froggy's almost every day - wish I had a gym like Froggy's back home. Equipment is clean and well-maintained, staff is super friendly, and everyone working out appears to be serious about getting in & getting out (no one is sitting on machines & checking phones). I especially like that the class room is available for use when there are no classes in progress - it's a great space for stretching, Pilates, etc. I'm already looking forward to retuning next year.

I visited Froggy's Fitness on a Sunday with my family of four. I've been to the Keys many times…read moreover the years and even worked out at this gym in the past. Unfortunately, this was by far my worst experience. When I asked about daily fees, I was told it was $25 per person per day. I was shocked at the price and politely asked if there were any discounts for locals. The front desk person rudely asked if it was my first time in the Keys. I told him no, I've been coming here for years and had never paid such exorbitant rates. He dismissively said, "That's the price." I then showed him the gym's own website, which listed $10 per day and even offered a 20% discount for teachers, police, firefighters, and students. I explained that I am a firefighter, my wife is a teacher, and my two kids are students. He refused to honor either the online price or the discounts and rudely told me, "If you don't like it, you can go somewhere else." This level of unprofessionalism and false advertising is unacceptable. Not only was the staff rude, but they also refused to honor their own published prices and discounts. I will never return here and cannot recommend this facility to anyone. I sincerely hope the ownership re-trains their staff on customer service and integrity, because right now, this gym is doing a disservice to both locals and visitors.
