And with that said I truly don't care if things might be priced a little higher, or at least that's what I was prepared for. But to my surprise I don't think anything I bought was. If anything I think I saved a few bucks here. When I got there I was approached by a super friendly guy who I can only imagine is the owner. He was by far over bearing as I looked around for what I needed. So owners of establishments like these can tend to watch you like a hawk with so many small loose ends that I can only imagine accidentally fall into customers pockets. However he just gave me the assistance I requested and left me alone to browse beyond that. The store was stocked with just about anything a diy'er could need. However they were out of fly spray which isn't a surprise cause those little turds seem to be on another level in this town. I've never encountered so many in my life. All in all a great experience. Just about as good of a trip to the adult toy store a guy could ask for. Not that kind of adult toy store so get your head out the gutter. Nice dude and a nice hometown hardware store. Then again he had a lot of all kinds of stuff, never know, you might ask... guess it's possible that he could have that adult toy your wife wants. If not he has all the stuff to make one that's for sure. Place is worth a visit for all of your DIY projects. I mean ALL OF THEM ;) .

There is an American Flag on the store flagpole that is ragged and knotted around the flag pole. All of this with the 4th of July, American's Independence Day, just around the corner. If you people cannot afford to replace this American Flag, would you please take it down and discard it properly. POSSIBLE SCAM! I always come for affordable options and…read moreunderstand if they aren't the greatest quality. Unfortunately, this poor review is for something completely different and dishonest. I went in to purchase a 3 ton floor jack which was on sale ($30.00 off with coupon code) among other car repair supplies. The coupon expired that day and they assured me I could use it that day and it was the last day to redeem it. Upon checking out the cashier, fabian, rang me up and said I qualified for a free "inside track" membership (normally a $30 value). He also threw in a free flashlight/lantern combination light. He went so far as to use a highlighter to circle the $30 "additional" savings i acquired for the membership. Upon getting home, I reviewed the receipt and found that the savings he highlighted were from the coupon and had nothing to do with the "free" membership. The receipt showed that not only did he charge me for the membership, but he charged me $1 for the free flashlight. I suspect that either fabian misinterprets the savings, or is misrepresenting the receipt to get customers to fraudulently purchase memberships they never needed. I returned to the store and after speaking with Aaron, a different cashier, he agreed that he should have just applied the coupon and never added the membership, nor should have he charged me for the light i never asked for but said was free. I've never really reviewed receipts for accuracy before but I trusted my gut on this one and saved myself almost $34 of unwanted purchases/memberships. This is unacceptable and needs to be remedied. I gave this store 2 stars because although I feel like i was bamboozled either intentionally or by accident, Aaron did his best to return my money, cancel my unwanted membership, and actually gave me the light for free. Pics are included. Either Fabian wasn't aware of the advertised coupon and charged a different coupon that included/required a membership, or intentionally chose to manipulate the numbers to sell me additional unwanted products and services. Either way, beware and make sure to check your receipt totals when shopping here.

Harbor Freight definitely has a place in the tool/hardware marketplace. They have great sales…read moreweekly on items that you would find in a hardware store. They also have items that are harder to find as well. Harbor Freight on the lower price end and that's not bad thing if you aren't using that tool hard or daily. We have bought many items and they have worked very well-such as tie downs, bottle jack (for lifting an item into place), tarps, and random tools. The items have worked well for the job we intended. Harbor Freight items are good. We buy things we will use hard or need to count on-where we could be injured from a different source. But we have had great luck with HF for the many items we have tried. I do recommend Harbor Freight for the things described. Be sure to check for coupons or deals!

Someone asked me if I needed help and I answered "No thanks, I'm just seeing what all you have - and the answer is, EVERYTHING!" Seriously, recently I needed some hair dye and they even had that. There was one time I needed a manilla envelope - I'd looked for one while in San Diego, and all I could find was at Staples and you had to buy 20. Well, True Value has onesies for sale. Who'd have thought a small rural outfit would be much better value than a big chain store in the city!

Back in the 70's my Grandfather and Uncle ran a butcher/ smokehouse business in that same building right behind the store. The wonderful smell of a smokehouse while buying lumber was a real man's dream. This store was always a nice place to run into friends and if you needed guidance on a project, an employee had the advice needed. I wish this store many more years of success, while in a hardware store in Ramona it reminded me of this store.

The first thing I noticed was the wonderful order. It has lumber and ranch supplies like animal feed and supplies making it smell wonderful! I grew up around a farm so the smell made me think of my childhood. They had quite a large supply of hardware and household goods too. And rather unique items. It's a great store for the area with whatever you may need. And the surprising part was that the prices were good. Being so far out, they could raise the prices but don't. I would definitely go back the next time we go to that area.

They have everything, it seems, and unique items I don't find in other stores....without charging boutique prices for them, too!! This store was a small local hardware called Imperial Do It Yourself. They were small but had all the makings of a great store so when it changed to Ace, it doubled the size, increased inventory and access to Ace products. The store is beautiful and clean. Service is still great though there may be some hitches in locating unusual items while they're working out kinks. I see 5 stars in its future. I definitely recommend this Ace!!

If that isn't enough they have a large gun counter that is always busy and a fairly good selection of fishing stuff. When the wife and I are in this store we always walk around and look at things. It is very interesting to see what we will find. On this particular visit I was looking for supplies for my Blackstone grill and did not leave empty handed. The wife on the other hand found a nice metal rack to display one of her rock slabs on (she is into rock collecting). To top off the trip we ended in in the lumber yard getting some pavers for a home improvement project. Great staff. Clean and well stocked store. Clean restrooms. Good prices. We are fans!
