FELT UNWELCOME : Owner Clueless "ATTITUDE IS EVERYTHING"
I was convinced by one of my coworkers to give Zen Bistro a second chance and we decide to dine for lunch at their new location. Hey look, like one reviewer stated, good food, BAD SERVICE and RUDE remarks 'DO NOT MIX WELL'.
After, my experience with owner JOHN previously in March 2013 (review below) and a second chance, I thought RUDENESS and ATTITUDE was a thing of the past. Will guess again, It seems I had frequent the new place 2 times previously (even the night before with friends) and the funny thing is that he seated me and another individual on one of my visit during lunch, even apologized for the wait and we were even offer drinks.
Well today was not that experience, went in for lunch with another individual and all JOHN was worry about was my post, oh boy HOW THE TRUTH HURTS. If you like my food you should take down the your reviews, I like 'RESPECT" AND NOT BEING DEMEANED MUCH MORE!!!! I LIKE PATRONIZING LOCAL BUSINESSES WITH MY HARD EARNED DOLLARS THAT DO NOT HAVE A PROBLEM WHEN I HAVE A LEGITIMATE COMPLAINT ABOUT MY FOOD AND ARE ABLE TO RECTIFY THE SITUATION NOT INSULT THE CUSTOMER. Owner John wanted me to take down my posts and ending up being offensive once again. I lost my appetite and any goodwill I was willing to give to this establishment after this experience. Look, John, when you tell one of my coworkers that you are not giving free meals to "PEOPLE OFF THE STREETS" when she went to speak to him about my dining experience in March 2013, it has an "UNWELCOME" tone, DEFINITELY NOT WHAT ONE WOULD TERM EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE. I experience these unwelcome feelings at eating establishments in years passed and I am not letting any establishment make me feel that way again. By the way can you tell me exactly who are these "PEOPLE OFF THE STREETS", do they have to look a certain way to received quality service and common courtesy at ZEN BISTRO, if so, THEN CROSS ME, MY FRIENDS AND ASSOCIATES OFF THAT LIST, GOING TO A PLACE WHERE I"I FEEL WELCOMED AND VALUED AS A CUSTOMER". No more second chances WE ARE spending OUR CASH definitely elsewhere.

No Clue to Customer Service--Diner Review * Mar 07, 2013
Customer service is at the bottom of the list and definite is off the menu. If you want to be insulted because they did not prepare your food properly then this is your place, for me not so much anymore. Taking my business elsewhere. When the owners are misers and trying to get more money for dishes not prepared and accuse loyal customers of trying to get freebies, and truly I do not know if it was because of my race, the way I was dressed that day, that he thought it was alright to laugh when I had a legitimate complain about my food and then practically accuse me of stealing from him (I have only 3 pieces of onions, couple pieces of raises and pineapples in a plate of pineapple fried rice not the dish I just had a few weeks earlier). I just want a some more sauteed onions and to have my rice reheat, really was that too much for a customer to expect. Well, owner John, I'll spent my money where their business motto is the customers is a value part of the business. I am taking my business and my coworkers who now are not going to frequent your establishment to a place where business is not just business, but customer service and satisfaction is important. Yes, I ate 2 bites of the pineapple rice, 1 shrimp, and rolls spent $13.00 appx. and left no tip in monetary value, but a tip of advise " Business is not just BUSINESS' as Zen Bistro owner John had no trouble in telling me in the most demeaning manner, BUT is Treating loyal customers with respect for their hard earn dollars that they spend to help Zen Bistro stay and business. Just to let you know Here's what I spent two week earlier at your restaurant:02/19/2013 -69.00 CHECKCARD 0214 ZEN BISTRO DAYTONA BEACHFL 53046987147496811You can kiss my business and my cash farewell.
