I feel very well educated about the whole process and very cared for (love that I was able to have my X-rays emailed to me.) Not only that, but they approach your care in a holistic manner which I love. Every therapy session starts with a PT warm up and various exercises. They then have me move over to stem [small electro currents placed on your back/neck for those who aren't familiar] before seeing the chiropractor for adjustments. I appreciate this as I feel my body is more receptive to the changes, having been warmed up and loosened a bit. I should also note that they have diagnosed a case of scoliosis that nobody else has told me about before. I am 30 years old and I'd bet money that it's not a new thing. I cannot sing their praises enough. I can already tell a difference in what we're working on as well. I have slept better this past week than I have in a LONG time. :) Thank you, Whole Body Healthcare!

I first went here in December of 2018, when I was experiencing a ridiculously bad back for the…read morefirst time in my life. I was actually at the point of being unable to walk upright, and was in a pretty desperate state. I was given a very thorough examination, x-rays, and then basically sat in a room with a coordinator who told me I would need to pay for everything up front - thousands of dollars of appointments - and also buy a $500 back brace and a $75 foam pillow, which was essentially a triangle of cushion foam. I fell hook, line, and sinker because I was in so much pain and just needed it to stop. The first few appointments were pretty good, and I was actually feeling a lot better very quickly. However, I was also doing like 45 minutes of "physical therapy" (really just yoga stretches and some foundation training poses) at every single appointment, which was driving me crazy because my appointments were after work and it was already late in the day and I wanted to get home, cook dinner, etc. I mentioned that now that my back was feeling better, I was going back to doing yoga everyday and that I really didn't need the "physical therapy" portion of this at every appointment. I was told this was just part of it and it was required. I was told I had to do the exercises before I got adjusted, every time. I feel this was just a way to book a lot of appointments at once and then have everyone doing these exercises while we waited around to be adjusted. At this point, once my back was feeling better, the adjustments started to be painful, instead of helpful. My upper back and neck began hurting, which had not been the case before. I was talked into getting a "dry needle" treatment, which I was told was like acupuncture. The hell it is. I immediately felt nauseous, hot, and got pains down my neck and up into my head. I asked the doctor to please remove the needles as I wasn't feeling well. She refused, saying they needed to stay in long enough to be effective. I left there that night feeling horrible and actually was in so much pain in my neck the next day that I had to miss work. The whole time I had been going, I had been told I would at some point meet with a nurse practitioner for lidocaine shots. I had been told repeatedly that they had not hired one yet, even though I had already paid for these appointments up front. Eventually, over 8 weeks into this treatment plan, I finally met with a nurse practitioner. She administered a lidocaine shot - which I didn't even feel I needed anymore - and again, I felt nauseous, sick, and faint immediately. I tried to get up about 10 minutes after the shot, and almost passed out. I ended up having to lie there for 45 minutes to recover enough to walk and drive home. Finally, I started feeling like these appointments were actually making me worse, not better. I decided to end my treatment plan with about 10 appointments left. I requested a refund for the unused appointments and was told no. I am still paying those appointments off on my credit card over a year later. This place is out for the money. The adjustments are rough, the doctors are rotating and they seem to leave/quit often. The open floor plan is weird and way too intimate, the physical therapy is a joke, and half of the treatments seem to make you worse instead of better. Stay far away from these people. There are much better chiropractors out there who won't charge you thousands of dollars before you even have an appointment.

Great therapy but office staff lack training and accountability…read more I received excellent care from my therapist, Emily, who was knowledgeable, conscientious and personable, but ultimately, I decided to cut my therapy short due to unsatisfactory customer service and lack of resolution of a billing issue by the billing manager. I did not receive a bill for the first encounter until several visits had passed, when I discovered my insurance only covered $77 of a $220 charge, leaving me an out of pocket charge for the balance of $243, with several followup visits pending insurance. It was only then that my therapist informed me they were out of network for me and that the scheduler should have let me know that upon scheduling. She suggested I speak with the billing manager, indicating that this had happened a few times in the past and that an adjustment might be possible. The billing manager made me speak to her about this personal financial issue through the window in the full waiting room. She offered no adjustment whatsoever and only argued with me that in fact I had been told before scheduling that it would be out of network and at any rate "it's on the papers you signed." I was not upset or confrontational in the least, simply asking for clarification and consideration for an adjustment considering I was not informed of the out of network status upon scheduling. One can only ask, and if the answer is no, no problem. But the billing manager infuriated me by arguing back and forth with me that I was told, I "had to have been told, we tell everyone." I said no I wasn't, and I just wanted to make sure they knew to inform people in the future. All I was looking for was an I'm sorry that happened and we'll be sure to do that in the future, but she continued to argue with me that I had been informed. I said no I wasn't. They talk to dozens of people a day. I talked to them one time. I know I wasn't told, because if I had been, I would not have scheduled. And yes, I am certainly guilty of signing papers without looking at them, but I hardly think that I am the only one who has done that. At that point, a patient is already presenting for their scheduled appointment. Not informing them on the phone and allowing them to schedule an appointment and burying that with other papers to be signed hardly makes them look good. Of course oversights happen and I'm sure that was the case in this instance, but the billing manager took my comment that they really need to make sure they tell every person, every time, personally, and escalated the conversation. I declined at that point to schedule any further appointments. To reiterate, the standard of professional care I received was impeccable. But a little customer service training and accountability for the office staff would not go amiss. Make sure to question them carefully about your insurance reimbursement before scheduling, if that is a concern for you. Otherwise, I recommend therapy here without reservation.

I've been to other PT facilities in the last from car accidents and a fall, but if I am ever in another accident I am coming here!!! The staff is all amazing and friendly, and small so you see the same folks. Dr. Frieman and Dr. Barbee are very personable, friendly, and kind - listening to what's going on with you. They accept a number of insurance plans and will work to find a financial solution that fits your budget. I highly recommend giving them a shot if you're in pain and on the fence about where to go.
