I had broken my back and neck, the calcaneus in my right foot was shattered and is held together with titanium plates and pins along with brain damage. I have many other problems I deal with resulting from a car accident that was in no way my fault. I live in a constant state of pain, however the medications enabled me to get through each day. I began seeing Dr Abed several years ago at the request from a different doctor. I saw him and immediately he pinpointed the pain spots and he said this is what you have & these are the treatment options. He brought it up on his computer to show me how damaged my spine actually was and why I was and in so much pain. He offered me injections in my back to alleviate the pain. I got the injection for a few years and then it stopped working and I required surgery. He booked a Rhizotomy and burned my nerves. Very successful. He believes the same as me too treat with the least invasive approach first then if needed go to the Rhizotomy or facet joint injection or sciatica injection. The office staff is good. The office is always clean. I highly recommend Dr Abed to help you with your pain management especially back pain. He has been very helpful, informative, gentle, supportive, respectful and professional. He got me through a difficult time when my right leg was not working and was numb but painful and I had difficulty walking. He treated me and about 3 months later I was back to normal. I can't say enough about his practice but 10/10!! I am going to add that he does not give any prescriptions for pain medication.

I couldn't be more impressed with the level of care I receive from Dr. Hugo Torres and Melissa Richards, CRNP. Recently, I had a problem after hours and Dr. Gunawardane was covering. Dr Gunawardane was very concerned and helpful in resolving my problem. I usually see Melissa Richards, NP for my monthly office visits. The office support staff is absolutely exceptional. I am always greeted with a warm and welcoming hello when I enter the office. Melissa is not only attentive and thorough, but also takes the time to explain my treatment options. They are also open to considering my suggestions regarding my treatment plan and care about what I have to say. They listen to my observations of my treatment and consider my condition with great empathy and respect. They explain the purpose of their recommendations so that I may understand the alternatives and limitations. They don't just hand me my opioid prescriptions and say "see you next month", like some of the other pain management office's have done to me. Melissa listens and talks with me and makes sure all my questions have been addressed. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

I got their scheduling line and specifically asked if they took my insurance. To which she replied yes. I went to my appoint 3 hours later, gave the receptionist my license and insurance card to which she gave me all the papers to fill out. Then someone comes to me and says they don't take Cigna anymore. So now I am in pain with no appointment where I could have gotten in with someone else. They should make sure all of their employees and contractors are aware of what their capabilities are. It's a shame I hear Dr Ingram is good.
