Zelky's Arcade North, like its sister arcade located on the opposite side of Rehoboth Avenue along the boardwalk, is a throwback arcade experience. Zelky's North occupies a noticeably smaller space than Zelky's South. Nevertheless, like its sister arcade, Zelky's North is very nostalgic and takes you back to 80s and 90's arcade days. They are celebrating their 40th anniversary, however, this location is closing at the end of the summer season for building renovations. There are several retro and contemporary games to play here. They have fun prizes for young and older players. The attendants are also friendly and exercise patience when dealing with kids at the ticket redemption station. They had a fun promotion where you receive a plush elephant and wheel spin with the purchase of a $40 card. It's possible to rack up your tickets. We got up to 18,444. The staff are nice and patient. The prizes are pretty expensive ticket wise but that's not super surprising for an arcade. Not much you can get that's worth it. My son got a Pokémon card deck and did not like any of the cards. They have very off putting prizes as well that should be removed. Clearly they are on tr*mp's d*** that's pretty embarrassing for them. I would recommend Fun Land moving forward. read more

So between this and Funland? My kids went here cause it was less crowded and I thought I'd spend less money. This is kinda like Las Vegas but for kids. My daughter spent so much time at some coin drop game where I was reminded of my great aunt feeding penny slots in Vegas like it was a job... or bad investment. Bless her soul... But I digress, kids had fun. My son made some comment about this is like Chucky Cheese except with no pizza and and an elephant for a mascot instead of a rat. He's not wrong. After winning like 7500+ tickets, they cashed out their winnings. Fun fact... Zelky's Donut Rings won't accept tickets for their donuts... I wasted like 15 dollars trying to get a squishmal axolotl from a claw machine when I could have just spent 21 dollars to buy it outright elsewhere... sigh. Took MadMax to her first arcade and this place did not disappoint! They opened a little bit later than 1000 but we killed some time buying candy. This place is a typical boardwalk arcade with loud music, games, and tons of prizes. What we liked was the fact it went packed (it was early) and the air conditioning. Games weren't outrageously expensive either; the card was nice but I did miss actually tickets being spit out... but that's the new standard. Claw machines have arthritis and are rigged to lose. I caught a Elmo doll seven times and seven times the claw grip let him go. Same thing when I tried Cookie Monster, who is larger. My claw gripped him as if I was picking up Neo after he took the red pill and woke up in reality. Came here with the family during our time out on the boardwalk, and they had an awesome time. We ended up with close to 11,000 tickets. The guy working the counter was very helpful. We had to split the tickets between 3 children, and I know we were probably super indecisive at the counter, but he helped us out, and didnt rush us through the process. There was a good assortment of games, and they catered to all ages. My only complaint would be that the basketball shoot out games didn't give tickets. They could've easily got me for a smooth 40 dollars if it did...lol overall the kids had a great time, and that's really what we were there for. Spent over $20 playing 2 different claw games. For context, I am the type of person who has won over dozens of stuffed animals at a time playing these types of claw games - I'm good at them. I went to play the Beats Headphone claw machine and got my bearings after a few rounds, and very securely (headphones in center of claw, all 3 metal spokes overlapping underneath) grabbed the headphones. I should have won no problem. The claw gets to the top of the machine, opens up, and drops the headphones back on the ground, before resetting. Um excuse me? That's not the point of claw machines. They're skill, not skill and then maybe the claw will keep closed and let you keep your prize. I went to the desk to complain and an attendant came with me to watch me play another round. Same exact thing happens. Her explanation is that I didn't have the right grip - but I clearly did and the machine dropped the prize. I point that out and she tells me the ones with bigger prizes are harder to win- well duh. They still shouldn't be opening up to drop the prize. Then she tells me that I should play a different game. I left. I'm not saying she should have given me the prize, but I think that claw machine is complete BS and ore luck than skill- which frankly they should tell you if you're wasting your money to play. It's fraud. Will go to a different arcade down the boardwalk. Much better. read more

4.5 stars... This nameless arcade is pretty small with a real divey old-school feel, despite the presence of some modern video games. Nice prizes cost about a gazillion tickets so it's not going to work out financially speaking to work toward one. I came here exclusively for skeeball. It's the best bargain in Rehoboth Beach. 10 cents! The downsides are that you only get 6 balls instead of the normal 9 and the ramp is the shorter (10 foot?) than the standard lanes. But at 10 games for a buck, how can you complain?? They do entice you by saying you get a free t-shirt and games for life if you get 350, a near impossible feat at only 6 balls but it's certainly fun to strive for. read more

Was there today for about 15 minutes and will not be going again. And it has nothing to do with the games themselves. It's because of one ridiculous policy and the sarcastic attitude of the employee. I do understand what "no food and drink" means and I do know what happens with water and electricity. Of course she apparently had to treat me like I don't know that. However, water always has been and always should be an exception. Especially when it's hot, humid, and you have a child with you (a 2-year-old child in our situation). Also, bear in mind, the water was in my own metal bottle, with a lid, and would have no condensation build-up from humidity. Furthermore, the employee's sarcastic tone and attitude in treating me like a child is what will make us never walk in again. The only 15 minutes my wife, my son and I have and will ever spend in Zelky's. In my opinion, quite the low experience after living in Delaware for only a month now. read more

Oooooh me and a friend had fun at this arcade! It brought me back to my days of being a kid. Because really, how can you possibly beat skeeball for just 10 cents a game? We must have played roughly 70 games of skeeball and had a fierce competition going for a while to see who could get the higher score. We had a lot of fun while only spending $10 each. I wish more places like this still existed. It's hard to find fun places to hang out for cheap prices these days. I was on the Plinko machine and I won the 1000 ticket jackpot. It was dispensing than it ran out about 30 tickets in. I went to the closest worker and asked if she could put more tickets in. She proceeded to get the tickets and put them in the machine. It doesn't dispense them. She makes the excuse that I got all the tickets. I explained to her that I have won the machine before and there are way more tickets than that. She gets aggressive and gets about 50 more tickets and shoved them into my face and storms away. We visited the Beach Arcade North on the Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk when we visited Rehoboth Beach, DE in April 2017. The arcade is definitely dated, but it still has its old 80's and 90's charm. We played some old school skee-ball and had a lot of fun! They also still have their prize station at the arcade and we both got cute matching fuzzy rings :) It is definitely an old school, throwback type of place, and we had lots of fun being kids at heart there! read more

Fun games, ski ball is great and basketball shoot around is fun. Don't expect much in terms of arcade like streetfighter or mortal kombat stuff. All fun stuff for kids. A few shoot em up games, but other then that not a lot in terms of an arcade. Maybe one day a real arcade place will show up. They had like 1 pinball machine.
