First time here for a show. Got balcony seats to see the Christmas drag show. yay. NOT!! The drag queens are more concerned about playing the audience for cash. When they first come out they are on the stage. After that if your in the balcony area all you do is hear the songs, you don't see them no more Why sell balcony seats if we can't see the show. What a very nice small theater in Milton, Delaware! There is not a bad seat in the house. The Chair like seating Is fluffy and comfortable. No matter where you sit you would have a clear, close view of the stage. We had two seats that were approximately 10 rows back and we loved the view of our show - The aunt Mary Pat DiSabatino show. Acoustics and Sound were perfect in this hundred year old theatre. The theater staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The concession stand sells various items to eat as well as at least six beers and soda items. And the line is sectioned off for efficient service. I live two hours away from this very nice theater but the prices are right, the seating is right. the service is right. As I have relatives in the area in which to stay overnight, I see myself coming back here for another show very soon read more

Great place, people , food , and drinks! Ohhhhh and the inside has a special old Europe feel with great seating and tables. It's like a mini warner theater in DC. We went last SAT and seen the WHO show there. The band was great if you never seen them. I would think anything there would be super to see. The sound system and acoustics are phenomenal . What a great find! We were here to see Separate Ways, a Journey cover band. The theater was great. It was very intimate. It had tables and an easy way to order drinks and snacks from your seat or at the counter. You do have to pick up your order if done online. The band was fantastic! read more

For being in the middle of Delaware and near next to nothing, this is a cool little theatre. Well maintained with that Charming, dusty feel an old theater. I love how it is put together and the feel of a performance sitting in those seats. I know that this is a romantics view of a theatre and theatre in general but an old building like that has a personality of its own. Almost as if it's one of the performers in whatever play is being put on at the time....alas, I digress. Not a great, stand-alone reason to visit the wilds of Delaware but a nice little stop off is you find yourself nearby. read more

Recently we have seen productions of Godspell and Rent at the Milton Theatre. We enjoy musical theatre and understand there are many different types of productions. We anticipated a strong community theatre production. We could not have been more wrong. Within the first two minutes of Godspell I was totally spellbound. The Milton Theatre produces very high quality theatre. Both casts were superb. I also give the theatre great credit for using live music. The theatre is comfortable, intimate and reasonably priced. So glad to have this kind of entertainment in our town. read more

My children have attended summer camp performance weeks at Milton Theater for several years now. My two kids had a good experience so a 2 rating seemed appropriate and a couple staff members were very nice in light of all the frustrations this year. This year has been the worst "parent" experience in all the years. First it started with shows sold out before parents could even purchase tickets (no tickets do not come with the student's camp package). Milton theatre added a viewing of the dress rehearsal to try to accommodate - however they should bring back the Saturday performances. Then I felt one of the staff members was extremely rude to me on every interaction the entire week. She seemed very miserable and perhaps its the summer camp, however kindness should not be met with rudeness. At one point I snapped and finally treated her the way she treated me all week. Sadly, theatre is something we enjoy greatly as a family and the entire family feel this week was gone. The kids always met their parents after the shows in the past, this year they did not come out for the noon show. And since the last show at 2pm was sold out, I was not able to get cast pictures or hand my kids the well deserved flowers for a great performance. Considering that the parents actually "pay" for all the actors in the summer camp shows, I feel parents should have tickets to each show or exclusive first purchase for at least two tickets - if they will not be added to the already expensive camp package.
