My husband and myself went to a local resturant in ocean view , and meet a lovely couple Tony and Marie. He invited us to the VFW Chicken shack on route 1 in Bethany Beach. Tony introduced us to all his his fellow vets. They raise over $30,000 a year to help over twenty charity's. While we where there, we notice people came from all over Delaware to buy there chickens. My husband and I Are vegetarian. So we left a donation. The chicken shack is open from May 22nd thru Sept 22nd. They usually sell out by 11:00 am. Whether you want some good chicken or even maybe drop by and leave a donation it can't go to a better cause ,and to meet our vets who have served for our country.

This review is for JOANNE MILTON EXIT CENTRAL REALTY Milford, DE…read moreWhen we purchased our home almost 5yrs ago Joanne Milton was our realtor. It was a difficult experience especially after finding out the home we had a contract on was to be sold on the courthouse steps within days. When that was resolved the inspection revealed some issues and we ended up paying for repairs one of which was cited in the inspection as a safety hazard. ($362) that the seller refused to repair. Joanne allowed this just fine. We are now selling our home. Joanne lives in the same development so we felt somewhat obligated to offer her the listing. We explained from the start we wanted to work with a seller's agent who would be negotiating for us. Before the contract was signed she had talked us in to being a seller and buyer agent for the transaction. We signed a contract that the potential buyer signed docu signed on Apr. 12th. We signed Apr.13th. Joanne received the earnest money check on Apr.17th. The contract stated it was due within 3 days of acceptance. We are purchasing a new property and were told we needed to get the inspection ordered within 10 days so it wouldn't hold up the sellers. Our buyers had one month to get the inspection and negotiations. The inspection revealed issues and Joanne told us repeatedly "YOU HAVE TO DO THIS AND YOU HAVE TO DO THAT!" telling us the lender wanted it and they had until the 29th of May to issue the commitment letter and the buyer could back out. We had an additional inspection as a result and a repair for what was cited as a safety hazard and then Joanne even suggested another inspection for something not even mentioned in the inspection. We refused. When it came to the 28th of May and no commitment letter I emailed the buyer's realtor who informed me the commitment letter was sent to Joanne Milton on APRIL 26th. and she attached a copy to my email. We spent the entire month of May wondering if the sale was going to go through if they would get funding and the bank would approve their loan. Let's go back to the inspection. Joanne called and spoke with my husband to say the inspection would be Saturday, May 6th. at 9am. I called her a day or so later to explain that is the only day of the week I do volunteer work which consists of a 10hr day on my feet and asked if we could change the time some. I tried to explain that would make it a 12 and 1/2hr day after prepping me and the house. Joanne shouted "YOU HAVE TO HAVE THAT HOUSE OPEN FOR INSPECTION!" Finally, in a low guttural teeth clenched voice Joanne told me "I'LL CALL YOU BACK". When I did not hear back from her I called the buyer's agent who understood and the time was changed to noon. Joanne was not even present at the inspection. I placed runners over the off white carpeting for the inspection. I came home to discover 8 sizeable soil stains on the carpet and a personal belonging ruined. Joanne blew it off. I spot cleaned which did not help and steam cleaned TWICE before the stains were not noticeable. Right along the closing was scheduled for the 16th of June at noon. We have packers coming two days before and the moving van the day before. Just when we thought we were going to get through this craziness Joanne called to say they want to move the closing to 4pm on the 15th (moving van day). We are seniors and will be traveling nearly 1000miles to our new home. We had reservations set up as we are traveling on a weekend with a pet. The buyers are half our age and live 15?? min. away. Joanne again was negotiating for the buyers who have their own agent. I wrote a review on facebook. Joanne called my husband to tell him about it and erased my review. I don't feel good that I can't write something more positive. I don't want anyone to ever have to go through what we have experienced with Joanne Milton. She turned what should/could have been an exciting time to chaos and turmoil for us. And we aren't to closing yet so who knows what will happen.
