Zelky's is a family-friendly arcade, with most games appropriate for young children. You generally won't find any gruesome games with strong violence here. Don't misunderstand, the games are fun and entertaining for all ages including adults. Because many of the instant prize games are for young kids, the odds of winning are higher for adults who generally are more inclined to strategize, making this a great adult experience for dates or friends night. These games are perfect for parents to engage with their kids. Zelky's games are operated by player-card. You must load a player card at one of the kiosk and to play you must tap the card on the machine to register play credit. The games generally start at $1 per play. At $1 per play, the units go fast and so does reloading your card. The prize redemption station is large, however, not as extensive or massive as Zelky's North or Zelky's South on the Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk. If you've visited the other Zelky's locations on the boardwalk, you'll appreciate this one at Tager Outlets as it is less busy. This location is also ideal for parking and the public restroom in the shopping center is newer and much more pleasant than the beach restroom on the boardwalk for obvious reasons. The customer service is generally good. The attendants are friendly and accommodating to kids at the prize station. RECOMMENDATION: the "claw" machines that award instant prizes like expensive headphones or electronics are virtually impossible to win. Don't waste your money after one attempt. The same goes for the "heavy" stuffed animal prizes. The claws just aren't strong and tense enough to withstand the arm rocking back and forth from the prize to the drop area; much less if you have any success lifting the prize even an inch in off the floor.

I was at the Drydene 400 yesterday at Dover International Speedway with family! I went because…read morealthough my normal experience with NASCAR is watching on tv the start of a race, falling asleep on my favorite chair and waking up in time to watch the finale, I wanted to see what it's like in person at least once in my life. Although exciting, and the overall experience I had was outstanding, a good part of actually watching the race, to me, was somewhat boring. I didn't end up sleeping in the stands but almost did, and I did catch my brother with his eyes closed. There were about three or four cautions during the race not including the stages or competition caution, and they were for cars that went loose into the wall, or a piece of equipment on the track. Nothing special or spectacular but the one car did catch on fire. Thankfully no one was injured or seriously hurt. It was amazing to see the top cars in this particular race who were on point really take command of the track. The first car that got a lap down was on lap 13 according to my brother. Although COVID rules were being advised, and you needed to wear your mask to get into the track, no one was wearing them once in the stands. It was a mix of on or off when walking around, and wearing when in line to get food or use the bathroom. The facility did not sell all seats so there was space and I was glad they did not sell all the seats to do so. They were offering vaccination shots, so that's pretty cool. They were also giving out free masks. All staff were wearing their masks the whole time. The fan zone included food, clothing, a car show, the military, other car and tire company demos and games to play. I won some stress ball tires and low end tire gauges, and also got a free t-shirt. I loved that you were allowed to bring in your own food and drink as long as you followed their requirements. A hell of a lot of people were tailgating, and my brother hooked up into a cornhole game. Everyone was extremely friendly and well behaved in the stands and also outside in the lots and fan zone. I highly recommend bringing ear protection. Again BRING EAR PROTECTION. I took out my earphones for the last five laps, and I was dumbfounded at how loud the race really is with the sound reverberating off the massive aluminum stands. We were in the last (top) row (46) of the Allison stands and had a perfect view of the whole track. I'd also bring sunglasses, hat, and sunscreen. If you have can headphones, bring them. You could also rent scanners which I did not do, but they would have been helpful. $96 each for the tickets, $10 parking, brought our own food, and an awesome day with family. Was almost a little more expensive when my brother lost his Apple AirPod at the top of the stands, but luckily a fan a row down found it before it dropped to the ground. Congrats to Alex Bowman who won, and did it all after taking the lead during an outstanding pit stop jumping two places to get it. He then held it to the end.

This was my first and definitely not my last time attending the Rehoboth Beach Jazz Festival. It's…read morea 4 day event that draws hundreds from in and around the area and features local and national jazz musicians. The concerts were held at different venues around the city (with pricing from $29 to $72). The three concerts that we chose were all held at the Rehoboth Beach Convention Center and they were : Friday night -Al Jarreau with Marc Antoine and Steve Cole, Sat 4pm- Pieces of a Dream with Eric Roberaon and Sat 10:30pm- All Star Super Show w/ Brian Simpson, Boney James, Eugene Groove, Nick Colionne, Chuck Loeb, Nathan East and Eric Roberson. All of the shows were outstanding. Although Al Jarreau is getting old and can't quite hit the notes like he used to, it was an honor seeing this jazz legend. It was a weekend of pure jazz that any enthusiast would have thoroughly enjoyed. In addition to the concerts, there was jazz being performed by local artist in the various establishments on in and around Rehoboth occuring during the early afternoon until late in the evening. The local fire station hosted an afternoon jazz band that featured a young female saxophonist that could give the likes of Boney James and Kim Waters a run for their money. It was awesome! We couldn't come to the beach without actually going on the beach, so we strolled the boardwalk and walk out on the sand, taking in magnificent views of the Atlantic on such a wonderful, but brisk and sunny weekend. We also visited the local shops and came away with tasty nut brittle and souvenir shirts for $5 a pop! One thing to mention is that based on my observations, Rehoboth Beach is very animal friendly with folks walking their dogs along the streets and boardwalk and local merchants setting out water and treats! So check with the various hotels in the area for pet friendly rooms and bring your pooch along for the trip! We will be back for next year's festival indeed.
