I have enjoyed constant care and attention all throughout my experience during Zeligbaum's physical therapy sessions. The trainers are fun to be with and are excellent practitioners. We laugh a lot too. Everyday at 10:00 am Rob plays the song "Don't worry. Be happy". I am happy there. I would recommend Zelig and Rob for Physical Therapy. I had very bad pain from lower back discs and stenosis. After several visits I was feeling a lot less pain. After one month, I was off pain meds. Turns out I pulled a muscle in my tush and have to go to PT. I selected this office because it's a few minutes away from my house, but I got lucky and ended in the best hands. Don't even bother trying any other physical therapists. Ziegelbaum's is THE place to go. Background: I've had experience with PT in the past and based on those experiences, I thought PT was a complete waste of time. Then about a year ago, I hurt my back and my shoulder at the same time. For my back, I basically had no choice but to go for PT. I read Ziegelbaum's stellar online reviews and decided to give it a chance. WOW! From the very first session, I was so impressed with the quality of care I was receiving -- and the PT actually worked, with complete resolution of the after effects of my herniated disc. After that I had to address my torn rotator cuff. My orthopedist was pushing immediate surgery to repair the cuff. (He actually told me pointedly NOT to do PT -- a red flag if I ever saw one.) I went ahead with PT and my shoulder is now completely functional. I know this all sounds miraculous, but it wasn't a miracle -- it was a lot of hard work on the part of both the therapists and myself. But Zelik and Rob developed my therapy plans based upon my personal needs and abilities and monitored my progress every step of the way. When they saw that my therapy was progressing, they altered my plan right then and there in order to kick it up to the next level. Here's what else was so great, aside from what I've already written: (1) You're never alone. Somebody's eyes are ALWAYS on you, making sure you're doing the exercises correctly so that you're not stagnating or getting hurt. (2) The staff is extraordinary: there are physical therapists, assistant therapists, aides, and administrative staff. You interact with somebody from every one of these levels at every single session. And I mention the administrative staff (front desk) because she was extraordinary (sorry - I can't remember her name!). My husband had an insurance issue that he was having difficulty resolving, so he mentioned it to her. By the end of that session, she had contacted the insurance company and resolved the issue -- I mean, that alone is worth its weight in gold because insurance issues are the worst thing in the world, right? (3) Because this is a small private practice, your service is very personal. Everybody on the staff knows you and your routine. (4) There's such a pleasant atmosphere here! The whole staff works together as a unit, and their friendliness makes the whole experience much more convivial and even fun. And Zelik is hilarious. As one Reviewer already noted, "Ziegelbaum's is THE place to go." Twelve years ago I suffered a fractured humerus and was told by my friends," You must go to Ziegelbaum's for physical therapy." At that time I could hardly move my left arm. The operation had been a painful one. But through weeks of patience, caring, and a series of carefully-monitored exercises the staff here enabled me to have full mobility and strength in the injured arm. So when in September 2023 I fractured my left shoulder (a different accident), of course I returned to Ziegelbaum's for physical therapy. Within two months of going I had almost full mobility in the left arm. Now I am working on strengthening it. The staff here is beyond excellent. Clients receive expert care from each of the Therapists and Assistant Therapists. Clients are monitored carefully and professionally. In addition, a spirit of comradery among the staff is evident and pleasant to experience. The staff also goes above and beyond ministering to ailments. On one occasion, someone had mistakenly taken my coat which happened to have my car keys in it. Three of the staff were immediately instructed to call every client who had had an appointment there that morning. The telephoning took one hour until all clients were reached. The person was found and I got my coat back-with the keys! Zelig offers by far the best care for all those who need physical therapy. I am presently to him and his staff for helping me to walk, from not walking at all in August, 2016, to presently walking without aid. Zelik Ziegelbaum first treated my husband after he broke his foot in a skiing accident. He received warm, prompt and thorough care throughout his treatment. Mr. Ziegelbaum also contacted him at home on several occasions to make sure he was following through on his post-care necessary exercises. In early May, 2016, an MRI revealed that I herniated two discs in my lower back. I could barely get out of bed. It was a challenge to travel to my orthopedist. The pain was unlike anything I had ever experienced in my life. I was an invalid. I went three times a week for two months to Zelik Ziegelbaum, Physical Therapist, and his assistants. I worked hard each visit staying two hours doing exercise and stretches. His assistants teased me constantly, keeping me in the right mood to continue the effort. Their sense of humor made it fun. As I progressed, additional exercises were added to the routine. I looked forward to the heat and the machine that made my muscles twitch. It felt good. As I progressed I was given additional exercises. I was given a print out of daily exercises, which I do about 5 days a week, No one is perfect! Here I am in 2017 still doing my exercise. On about March 8 we had seven inches of snow followed by hours of rain. The snow was like a sponge; it was the heaviest snow I ever shoveled. Each shovel full must have weighed thirty or more pounds and the twisting motion to throw the snow was awkward at best. I moved tons of snow with this back! I spent two hours to clear my driveway, walk ways and side walk. One week later I can report no injury, no soreness, no pain, my back and stomach are strong! There is no substitute for the exercise and stretches. If you do the work, and you continue to exercise almost every day, you will fully recover and you will never hurt your back again! I have been going to Zelik and his team for 5 weeks now, twice a week. I first went for sciatica, this was fixed in 3 visits, and is no longer a problem which is a big relief. I've had knee pain for a few years, so we are now working on both of my knees. It's a very pleasant office to be in, everyone is friendly and very attentive. I had knee replacement surgery on 2/5/15, just six weeks and 3 days ago. I went directly to Zelik for my PT and have improved far better than the average person. I think this is due to Zelik and his practice who in under six weeks have me working hard on a strengthening routine rather than recovering routine.
