we had a 25 year old regular shingle roof. as we are getting older and ice dams are getting worse…read morewe decided on a new roof. looking at all options , we decided on metal. comparing standing seam and the metal shingle, we chose the metal shingle. Sales guy was very informative and not pushy. the quote was actually lower than I had expected, and that doesnt happen often. signed that day. true to contract they arrived at 7 am, ready to work. the house was covered in tarps to collect the old roof debris. If you don't know, a metal shingle roof must be nailed by hand, no nail guns and random nails here there and everywhere. it's labor intensive. the shingles lock together unlike a regular asphalt one. zero chance of wind lifting them up, each one attaches to its neighbors and interlocks. they added roof vents as we have no ridge vent. I gotta say, it's a flawless job. seriously. I'm not being paid to say this. never trust people that do. they cleaned up every day. heck, my back deck has never looked cleaner. it's a flawless install with snow angels above each door so the snow doesn't slide off and block the doorway. clean professional, on time, hard workers, 12 hour days. 3 days total. dumpster filled and removed. nothing left but a nice clean STRAIGHT roof and a yard sign that I'm proud to display. Get a few quotes,,, but you will choose these guys in the end if you understand value for money. If only every thing was this good. 100% happy.

We have a very similar two car concrete block garage and I asked for a quote for a similar roof. Leo (the owner) was great to work with on the phone and promptly gave a quote, followed the town procedure of applying for a building permit and was communicative with me about scheduling the work (we needed to get a tree behind the garage removed first). The roof work was done well and effectively and Leo's team was even flexible enough to add a gutter to the back after a structural engineer who had happened to be inspecting our deck recommended that. Rogers Insulation was the company selected by Mass Save following a home energy report. Our…read moreexperience was mixed, with the office and some of the workers really seeming top notch. The negative we had was the project leader for the day of work seemed to have cut corners in several places. It started with not all of the work being done that was on the invoice. The office believed me and sent out a worker to check and they validated the work was not done that was in the invoice. When Mass Save came to inspect the work, they also found the light covers were not installed correctly. All and all, it required 4 visits to complete the work for a variety of reasons.

When the work was completed, our Building Inspector flagged the work for an insufficient amount of blown-in insulation. Months passed. When Rogers came back for the re-do, they didn't bring enough tubing to reach the attic opening, so they had to go back to Framingham to get more. This despite the fact that the company had already done work here previously, and should have known how much tubing was needed. In the end, the job was done correctly, per the Building Inspector, but the process required more of my time and attention than it should have, with appointments and phone calls. Also without the Building Inspection, we would not have know that insufficient insulation had been installed.

Our experience from KAJ Construction was fantastic from start to finish…read more In the fall of 2024 we requested quotes from a number of contractors for our (fairly big) project . . . the house needed all siding and exterior trim replaced plus a number of new windows including two large bays. The estimator and project manager Kevin Foley came out and met with us several times to review the project, our options, and also provided us a lot of advice during the process that would have been helpful irrespective of whether we decided to move forward with KAJ. The quote we received from KAJ was fair and transparent, which was not the case with many of the other contractors we spoke with. The combination of the fair quote, our discussions with Kevin Foley, and a review of the company's past work gave us confidence that KAJ Construction was the best choice for the job and we engaged them for our project. The crew showed up on time every day and were very professional for the entire duration. After stripping the existing siding there was a significant amount of rotten wood including a portion of the sill that needed to be replaced (which we anticipated given the poor state of the home exterior); KAJ was able to replace all necessary spots and did so at a reasonable cost. The owner of the company, Alecandro Carvalho, as well as Kevin Foley the project manager came by frequently to check on the progress and review the work with us. They were both extremely communicative throughout the project and were also a great resource for us in terms of what we wanted for a finished product. As part of the project we decided to replace all of the windows (30+) as well as an exterior door; while we initially thought this would have been out of our budget KAJ was able to get us great pricing on some quality windows and it made sense to replace them all at once. The window installation went seamlessly and they replaced and painted all of the interior window trim for us as well. Additionally the ceiling in our sunroom had significant water damage due to leaks with the prior windows, which KAJ was able to replace, insulate, and paint for us. Overall the house came out great. We are extremely happy with the new siding and windows and the quality of the workmanship done by KAJ. Every little detail was taken care of, down to the installation of new exterior light fixtures, a flag mount, and house numbers. Working with Alecandro and Kevin was a pleasure for the entire time, and we would highly recommend KAJ to others considering a similar home project.

This was a high end job priced competitively - a window wall, eyebrow window, hardwood interior trim, exterior PVC trim. I have done my share of trim carpentry and appreciate exquisite quality when I see it. I got it here. There's no caulking bad joints with stained hardwood. They were as clean as could be - I've never seen a contractor have one guy hold a vacuum to catch the dust made by a saw. They cut no corners. I didn't plan on replacing the rest of the windows for a few years, but given the quality I got I'm proceeding with the rest now.

Do not ask them to take snow off your roof! Their website states to leave that work to professionals, so I left it to them and they damaged my roof. I noticed it the following Spring when I was up on my roof. I contacted Beau - he said he'd come back to fix it. He never came back. My calls and emails were ignored; moreover, a few days after sending an email to them, I received a 'server bounce back' message. I called and left a message. No callback. I waited a week and a half and emailed again. A few days later, I again got a server bounce back message. I paid a lot of money to have the snow removed and then had to spend more money to have someone else fix it. I was not expecting this lack of accountability and lack of responsiveness from Bosworth Roofing. Very disappointing after the good work they did in replacing my roof.
