My husband only received a shave with the grain, and afterward, several areas of his face still felt rough. This wasn't the thorough, smooth shave we expected. I also noticed thick dust on the interior shelves and boxes of razors and shaving products. An old-school atmosphere can be charming, but a business providing personal grooming services should be spotless. My husband did find the experience relaxing, which I appreciated. However, for $50, customers should receive the complete advertised service in a clean, well-maintained setting. We left feeling that the experience didn't deliver the value or attention to detail we had hoped for.

Haircuts are very reasonably priced at $19 for a men's haircut, and includes a nice warm shave for the sideburns and upper neck. The two are always pleasant, always lively, and always professional. I would highly recommend Billy G's over any of the chain stores popping up nearby that cycle through new barbers every other month. Note: they're constantly busy, so it would be best to make a reservation. Even with a reservation sometimes you might have to wait 10-15 minutes, but the quality is certainly worth it.
