I drove the 20 minutes to downtown where I also had to pay to park. Entering the apartment building where the pop up was located was a little awkward but ultimately fine because the line was a very short wait. I ordered one of the seasonal drinks: the toasty ghosty which was supposed to be an oatmeal cream pie flavored latte. I got this with oat milk and cold foam which totaled a whopping $9.60 for one drink. When I got my drink it was definitely cute with the marshmallow on top but I was disappointed that I paid extra for cold foam and got a very small amount on my latte. Overall the drink was good, but I don't think it was worth nearly $10. There are so many other places I would prefer to this that I don't think I would make the effort to go back.

I got 2 drinks here: an iced latte with honey syrup for my friend and an iced cider americano for myself. I forgot to ask for the americano decaf when I ordered, but they very kindly made it decaf when I caught them before adding the espresso. The latte was really good, and the honey syrup was really nice. The pastries from buttermilk bakery were amazing as always. But then there was the americano. I was so excited for this cider americano, I absolutely love cider and I had been thinking about trying it all week since I saw their seasonal menu on instagram. I got in the car, but I didn't try it until I was about halfway home, and that was a mistake. Now, friends, I am from Massachusetts, which is a country of great apple abundance. We love our cider, and we're all pretty aware of the dangers of bacterial contamination in the cider making process, and how you can easily create the repulsive tasting and smelling dream wrecking cider ruining disaster that is butyric acid. Butyric acid is what makes vomit smell and taste like vomit. So when you get butyric acid in your cider, it tastes like, you guessed it, vomit. And if you get that vomit taste, you need to chuck the whole batch or it could give you diarrhea and vomiting. This cider Americano very sadly tasted like vomit. While I was pretty confident in my assessment after taking many sips and wondering if I'd imagined it, I had my friend try the drink too, and he confirmed that it tasted like vomit. Now, if I'd called and they'd shown some remorse and maybe apologized and said they would look into it, then maybe I'd be giving a 3 or 4 star review, but that's how I found out that they don't have a phone number posted. So now I'm here, home with a coffee that I can't drink, trying to figure out the best way to tell these people that their cider is likely infected and could get people sick. I should probably send them an email. TLDR: perfectly nice looking place served spoiled apple cider drink and didn't have a phone for me to contact them to let them know. UPDATE: wow! I DMed them on instagram and they responded within 10 minutes! Keeping it to 3 stars but I will definitely be giving this place another shot.

Unfortunately, my most recent visit was disappointing because of the interaction I had with an employee named Adora. I always order the egg white sandwich with over-easy eggs instead, and while I completely understand that mistakes happen, the sandwich had to be remade multiple times before it came out correctly. That part did not bother me at all - what bothered me was the attitude and demeanor I experienced from this employee while trying to get it resolved. A friend of mine mentioned she has had a similar experience with the same employee, which made me feel like this may not have been an isolated situation. That makes me sad because this really is one of our favorite places to visit, and I would hate for other customers to leave feeling uncomfortable or dismissed. I still absolutely recommend this spot, and one bad experience will not keep us away. I just hope this can be addressed so future customers have the same warm, welcoming experience that made us love this place in the first place.
