It's Taco Bell. Aside from that, I can't say enough good things about the people who work at the Talladega Taco Bell. We moved here from the Birmingham area, and it was a common joke that every time we ordered from Taco Bell at least one thing was always wrong or missing. It never failed. Now, at this particular Taco Bell, we order a variety of things (and make substitutions to the standard items frequently) yet, it is extremely rare for anything to be wrong or missing from our order. One of the ladies who is there quite often when I pick up food (I think she might be the manager) is always kind/polite/smiling, and on one occasion, I saw a young female employee listening to a man rant about a problem with his order. (I completely understand getting frustrated if your order is wrong, but this man was speaking in a belittling tone to her). She still managed to keep her cool. I know the bar isn't very high for this kind of fast food restaurant in the first place, but I'm telling you from experience we have found the Talladega Taco Bell to be much more efficient and friendly than some of the other Taco Bell restaurants we have frequented in the past.

If I could give zero stars, I would. Next time you think "oh it's a fast food restaurant with a one…read morestar rating, how bad could it be?", I want you to think of this restaurant. We actually watched someone with enormous nails and no gloves prepare my sandwich. She had a face mask on but it was being worn as a chinstrap, not covering anything on her face! In the middle of making a sandwich we saw her actually lick her fingers after she picked sauerkraut out of the container WITH HER FINGERS and then proceeded to put the sandwich together with bare hands!!! We told her we saw this and asked for a new sandwich, another associate wearing gloves and a mask made that sandwich, but this woman continued to serve food for the drive throughwith bare hands even after we had pointed out the fact. I'm still not sure if I'm going to eat my food, my husband says we should just leave and not ask for a refund. This may be the most disgusting fast food experience I have ever witnessed.

Without drink or taxes 10.99. Inside remind me of an old waffle king . I got hamburger steak , brown gravy with onions , fried okra and green tomatoes. With roll. Meal was quick to come out. They tasted like sweet onions, brown gravy was okay didn't stand out thinking with a pre made (or mix) has well has the okra since they was a lot of stem ends in my serving. Green Tomatoes are fried with cornmeal - waitress said they are made fresh to order. They was good, but with every else make wonder. Has I look around seen one customer eating what looks to be a burger with crinkle fries, which was not on my menu nor that I could see, outside has BBQ sandwich chips and tea $8.99. I also didn't see a kid menu. Also a customer asked for soup of the day it was vegetable or chili I did not see that either. Thinking they are an unknown items unless you a regular you don't know. Finish my meal put plate to side of table and keep folks because menu said Friday is blackberry cobbler - so figured staff bring it- since it has a space between it and the sides I figured it was included. When asked at checkout the cashier said it confusing with the spaces but it not included. Over all it a very confusing place for new customers with okay food (aleast what I had) i believe it a regular locals place to eat - if they know you on first name kind deal it probably better but I don't think I return.

This is something I'm familiar with since this is my hometown. The place was lively and I'm not sure if that was the normal pace of the service but I wish it had been a bit faster The sweet tea wa SWEET tea! I let some of my ice melt and ot was fine. The catfish was hot and seasoned just right. For the sides I had fried green tomatoes and potato salad. Neither was the best that I ever had but it wasn't bad at all. I'll support this spot again the next time I'm home. It seems to be thriving in a town with slowly dying small businesses. Hopefully it's still around.
