The drive thru had a few cars in line and the inside had about 3 people in line in front of me. I stopped in the restroom and when I came out, there were now 5 people in line (two additional to the 3). It took about 10 minutes to take those orders and maybe took another 20 to get our food. Everyone seemed to move in slow motion. They apologized to almost everyone about the wait, and after reading the reviews, that seems to be the thing here, just slow paced service. Now to be clear, the food was piping hot, so you know it's fresh. So would you rather get a bad product quickly or a great product slowly? I'll take the slow service to get what I want, how I want it and hot and fresh as it should be. If you will be stopping here, just make sure you add in a few extra minutes for this trip. read more

I don't think they could have found smaller chicken wings and the chicken strips were supper small too - quite pathetic, actually. Need to take lessons from your competitor across the street (aka...Chick-Fil-A)! A Monday lunch...out of Lettuce, so, none of their signature "Zalads" available. So I order qty 4 Zaxby's Snax combos which come with a drink. Ask for a drink carrier, for 4 drinks, and without hesitation the gal at the counter states "we don't have none"...very stern voice. So I ask if they had a small box, no effort to even look, another, "No we ain't got none". I try to get some "self serve" cokes (qty 4)...and they're out of Coca Cola products, so I switch to "sweet tea". I fill all 4 cups with sweet tea. Get everything home, and the tea was "Unsweetened"... another ball dropped! Whoever owns this place, take some lessons from your competitor across the street, show some courtesy and professionalism! You've lost my business until I'm willing to "gamble" again, and with the cost of food through the roof (thanks Bidenomics!), it'll be a while before I go back here! Terrible experience! This Zaxby's must be under new management and it shows; service has deteriorated over the last few months. The new general manager seems nice, and was quite apologetic last week when I was in there and had to wait 35 minutes for a salad and a basket of Texas Toast...but he explained that on that particular day, they were short-staffed in the kitchen. Most of the staff who worked there for a long time when this restaurant was rolling are gone and the replacements have a long way to go to meet the level of service required at this very busy location. I do want to commend a recent new hire named Nathaniel; he has been the cashier the last three times I've been in there and he is always nice and friendly, and doesn't seem to mind my alterations to what comes on a standard plate. Zaxby's has hurt itself with the menu re-design in the last year; prices have increased while the amount of food has decreased. You used to be able to get a large chicken finger plate with 8 or 9 chicken fingers for $7.99; now, you can get 6 chicken fingers for $9.29. This Zaxby's used to be my favorite place to eat in all of Simpsonville, but they have fallen way down in my personal restaurant rankings in the last year. read more

We then waited another 25 minutes for our food. While sitting at the windows the employees joked and bad mouthed customers. I could literally drive to the store on Woodruff road, get my order, and be back home in the amount of time it takes to go through the drive through at this location. I have been here four times since moving to the area last September. I have always waited 15-20 minutes in line. Tonight I just left, went to Bojangles instead. 11/30/17 - tried to give this store one more try. I'm done. Was in the drive thru line for ten minutes without moving. Went inside and placed order.
