We love some zaxby's, but this location is not ready for the people. We walked in, and it seemed like a party was going on. That is how packed it was in here. I figured the food was good...nope!!! ‍ Everyone was waiting for food. Here we go... Employees mad, manager mad....people just angry. I couldn't get a receipt because the machine was down... okay, broke. The cashier said the manager could print it. The manager asked me if my name had two k's, awee.... I don't know because I have no receipt. She asked me how much I paid for my order...lady no receipt, I have no idea. Welp, I never got my receipt. I gave up. Food came about 30 minutes later and my fries looked like they were counted out into my container for my wings and thingz. So I had to ask for more because my fries looked like it was a kids' meal. I spoke to the cashier who got the manager. I showed her my food. She said, "I will take care of this for you." The cashier lady says it's 2.46 for a small fry. Huhhh, I didn't order a fry, I just asked for the frys I never received. I'm not paying for a fry. Cashier got an attitude again!! ‍ The manager handled it with no problem. The kitchen crew was playing and conversating as we were waiting on our food. They were looking at us LOOK at them. The chicken fryer guy had more flour on the floor than in the flour box. I believe I watched him for 10 minutes. Hilarious... I hope he gets paid by the flour. But at any rate, this location needs more help. I counted about 5 in back 3 on front line and they were still struggling. The food was GUUD!!! The wait is what got them the two star rate. read more

There is a definite bias when it comes to me and Zaxby's. They always deserve 5 stars in my book. I went to This location after a long road trip and it was like a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow. Worth stopping in for sure. I got the chicken. Lol. read more

Hands down worst zaxbys experience ever. Place should've been closed for the day. No fries, drinks, lids, napkins and took 30 mins to get a simple sandwich . I am sure they have a good staff and they were doing their best with the situation but whomever handles inventory and mgmt really blew it in a big way read more

If I could give zero stars I would . This place needs to get shut down . TERRIBLE SERVICE and long lines with no sense of pace from the workers . Over 20 customers waiting for there food wile no service is helping nor seemed concerned. Trash cans also don't have bags and are outside of the bins. Bathrooms are beyond filthy and have no toilet paper in any stalls. The floors are all dirty , tables are dirty everything is filthy I don't know how the health department hasn't stepped . THIS LOCATION NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN read more

Well, the Turd Burglar made it down to North Carolina way (country accent) for a couple of pieces of fried chicken. Heard folk talkin about' Zaxbys being the place so I reckoned I'd stop in. And what I come' to find is that the food is complete TRASH. I got the Wings and Things meal, which basically means they find the 5 driest pieces of chicken and dump a gallon of nasty ass sauce all over it. I was wiping sauce off on the side of my plate. After my meal I roll into the bathroom to get whatever the hell I just ate out of me and enact revenge. I walk in and this house of a human is literally destroying the bathroom. One guy was basically passed out in the corner cause he couldn't breath. So I wait my turn outside the bathroom and when this guy exits we lock eyes and we both know what just happened in that stall. And yeah you guessed it, I still went in there and did what the turd burglar does best... poop. Great poop, wish I could say the same about the food. 1 Star read more

RJ and I were going to stop somewhere else but he saw Zaxby's and said I needed to try it. OMG was it good!! We had the Cajun Club Chicken Sandwich. Blackened chicken, bacon, ranch, green leaf lettuce, tomato and American cheese on a toasted bun. The chicken is so juicy and the fries were crispy and fresh. I would like to try one of their salads, they look fantastic!! read more

Exited I-95 just to eat here. The hours on their door stated they open at 10am. Door was still locked at 11am even though employees were inside. No one would let customers inside. read more

45 minutes before closing and you can only order wings. Absolutely nothing else off the menu. Then had to wait 30 minutes in line to get the only food we were allowed to order. read more

Don't bother unless you have 30+ minutes to wait in the drive-thru only to be told they are out of what you wanted to order. Then after you finally get something to eat - the order is usually wrong. They will forget your dressing for your salad or the fries - or get the beverage wrong - very rarely do they get it correct the first time. Always check your order before you leave. Not impressed. read more

Hands down the worst location since the start of Covid. I used to stop here all the time because of the location right off 95, however since early 2020 the service has fallen off a cliff. Service lately is notoriously slow, the drive thru wait can be anywhere from 10-30 minutes depending on the time of day. Once you finally make it through and get you order, you stand a very good chance of part of your order being incorrect (sweet tea instead of unsweet), no sauce instead of an extra sauce, or the entire order being wrong. Final straw was the most recent visit where after spending over 20 minutes in line, I ordered 10 fingerz with an extra Zax sauce and unsweet tea. I instead received one grilled chicken salad and a fried chicken salad. The receipt said "6 finger plate meal with fried and cole slaw and sweet tea." You really have to go out of your way to screwup an order this much. read more

Would give it 0 stars if I could! If you enjoy waiting 30+ minutes for a sandwich, this is the place for you. Slowest and rudest service ever! read more

Rude staff and incredibly slow service. I do not recommend this location unless you're prepared to wait 30-45 mins for your food at a non-busy time of day. Very frustrating! read more

This is the worst experience ever. We ordered food for two people. Standard order. Chicken sandwich. We have now waited 30Mins and our number has still not been called. This is my FIRST and LAST time at Zaxby's. Please learn from chick fila. I don't even care if food is good. Bad decision to try this read more

We tried Zaxbys for the first time The drive took thirty minutes. Absolutely ridiculous. Won't be back

Took 25 minutes to get our food and the fries were cold. Chicken fingers were so small

Staff is incredibly rude and they don't appear to even care about serving their customers. Drink machine wasn't working, ice machine wasn't working and credit cards weren't working. Staff was hardly working! This place would make you stay away from Zaxby's forever. Such a shame. read more

Terrible experience here. I understand everything that is going on but I waited 20 mins in thedrivethru for 2 sides and they were both completely wrong. Call back and they say they will bring my food out due to dining being closed. 15 mins later still no food. I call back and of course no answer. I make my way up to the drive thru window where it takes me 20 mins to finally get the manager to come to the window. Where he takes his sweet time giving me my refund. He is completely worthless as a manager and your business will never be successful with him in that position. The entire staff was standing around doing nothing. While the drive thru was completely packed and one lady had waited 30 mins for her food. read more

Overall I enjoyed my experience here at this restaurant. The dining room was moderately busy when I walked in but the cashier was very friendly. My food was served hot and I don't have any complaints about the food. The only issue perhaps is that wouldn't my order was up the drive-through cashier brought it to the counter. I asked her for some additional seasoning for my fries because I requested extra seasoning on my fries when I made my order and they did not put the extra sessoning on my fries. The drive-thru cashier rolled her eyes and walked off. I cannot even believe it butt I asked another employee and they got me the extra seasoning that I requested. I just read with the prior reviews and I noticed that a few of them talk about the poor customer service. I now see what the other reviewers were referring to. read more

Went through the drive-thru of this lcoation on our way home from NC. Ya'll can have it. I've heard folks rave about the wings, but yuck. I had the wing and tender combo, best thing was the toast and I don't even like bread. The wings (which I got sweet and spicy) had no seasoning whatsoever. Just fried and tossed in sauce. Salt & pepper would go a long ways. The tenders were juicy, but again, no seasoning. How is chicken your specialty and you can't get that right? I'll pass. read more

Don't drive a bus to this Zaxby's. They will say they are short staff and tell you the dining room is close. Unacceptable.

Stop at this one since it's off 95. Worst Service ever had to ask for everything. Order a salad and awesome I just wanted ranch without asking the workers were rude and just plan unprofessional. Wanted to try this place did and want be back read more

Never heard of Zaxby's but reviews were good & just right outside my hotel window. I got the house salad w/ grilled chicken &bottled water. It was the best salad ever!!!! I didn't really check out their menu, on a diet, trying to stick with healthy choices. The restaurant is clean & bright. Service was what I expect from the south" friendly" As I was eating my salad and observing, I said to myself " they sure are friendly " I really enjoyed my salad, I ate the whole thing. Will definitely visit this restaurant again & recommend it to others. read more

Horrible. The wings were too small to be chicken; pigeon wings perhaps? The fries were extremely oversalted. We also got the chicken salad sandwich which was so-so. Normally, I enjoy their salads and I regret branching out. The staff was completely disinterested. Would not eat at this location again. Poor experience. read more

I stopped there one day after work. The line at the counter was about 3 people long. The young man behind the counter was so overwhelmed because he had to stop taking order just so they could catch up. A couple that had been waiting 45 minutes for their food asked to speak to the manager. A tall man with a filthy uniform came out of the back. The couple explained their problem with the service a waiting so long. The man whose name tag said general manager, said very non chalant Ok we're busy so.... The couple stated well you should be helping. He said no I'm the manager. So sad I haven't been back since. read more

This is the worst zaxbys I have ever went to waited in line for almost 40 min and service was atrocious

Zaxby's is one of my favorite places to eat, but this one is struggling. Nobody working there seemed to know what they were doing. Cashier was friendly, but kept loudly chewing gum and popping bubbles while taking orders. Waited almost 30 minutes for a chicken finger plate, and there were at least 3 orders sitting in bags on the back counter. Took at LEAST 10 minutes for them to complete one order. If we hadn't already paid we would leave. This place is going down like the titanic. Giving them two stars because the food was pretty dang perfect, and maybe worth the wait. read more

The only words to describe this restaurant is Hot Mess... it took 47 minutes for us to get our food. 47 minutes we watched and told them over and over they were giving our order to other people. 47 minutes to get a 4 piece plate, a kids nibbler, an order of chips, and an order of mushrooms.... 47 minutes in which all the people behind us got served ate their food (and some of ours they were given twice).... 47 minutes that we waited to finally get our food to get in the car and drive off to realize they didn't give us napkins or silverware to eat the coleslaw with.... yeah Hot Mess... read more

THIS IS MY FAVORITE FAST FOOD CHICKEN CHAIN!!! (besides Cane's tbh) the zaxby's sauce is super fucking good and their toast is as good as, if not better than Cane's! The chicken isn't as tender and juicy as Cane's, but their Buffalo wings options make up for it! A very fun menu to mull over. read more

The slowest Zaxbys I've been to in my life. It took over 30 minutes for my wife to get a salad. The cashier stops taking orders to go talk to her friend in Drive-Thru. No sense of urgency. The food is always good and the service is excellent. I've tried about 75% of what's on the menu and I've never been disappointed. Went in at 10:45am. No one in line. Stood there to order. 5 employee's looked at me and walked by behind the counter. Not one said "hey, hang in one minute and we will be right with you". i am from out of state (new jersey) so whenever i am down south, i always stop at a zaxbys because we do not have any. i have to say this is the WORST zaxbys i have ever been too. first off, online it says they open at 11am. my friend and i walked in at 11:05am and an employee rudely kicked us out saying they do not open until 11:10am. we have been driving for hours at this point was starving. we then went back in at 11:15am and all the employees seemed really confused and no one knew how to do their i ordered the Caesar "zalad" and the employee asked me what kind of dressing i wanted....????? i don't know maybe caesar dressing for my caesar salad? they also asked my friend what dressing she wanted for her bleu salad. the ice machine is broken. we were the first customers in the restaurant and two tables we went to sit at was sticky and dirty. also, the salt and pepper shakers were completely empty. my friend and i sat down waiting for them to call our number for our food and they never did until we walked up there and saw our food just sitting there. my friends salad didn't have dressing on the side so she went up to the counter and asked for some and the employee completely ignored her. she also asked for buffalo chicken but they gave her blackened. whatever happened to southern hospitality? poor poor horrible service! if it wasn't sunday, i would have went to chick-fil-a next door!! read more
