I made the unfortunate mistake of buying the ultimate wash which is a joke, I always have to tip to make sure my wheel wells and rims are cleaned before I enter the wash cycle and even then they aren't clean. Do not come here and waste your time or money, the quality is shameful and they will one way or another break something on your car and not do anything about it, I've talked to multiple employees more than once about reaching the manager to get reimbursed for a broken door mirror that will cost me hundreds to replace and did not receive a call back after weeks. Terrible service and management. I've already told all my family and friends to avoid going back and to cancel their memberships. You're better off taking your vehicle to a self wash and doing it yourself. I can't believe how piss poor a car wash could possibly be. read more

The staff are pretty much worthless and and don't do anything as far as a pre spray down. For Christmas I received a gift book of car washes. Stopped by today and to be honest I was disappointed. The people didn't seem friendly and the equipment (as another yelped commented) seemed aged and old. I didn't think the wash did that good of a job. Most notably, the dryer might as well not worked. After I drove out my car was still soaked. Wish they had the option to pay extra for towel dry. I'll finish off my book of washes and never go back. read more

The Farmington road corridor has two car washes I'm familiar with, Colony on Nine mile and Carousel on 8. The latter is pretty close to my office so I frequent it mostly. There's nothing overly remarkable about it but their equipment does a pretty decent job. Their cheap wash is $5.75 and goes up from there. You can purchase books for $20 that offer four washes at the discounted rate. The staff is always friendly. And if your car is that dirty that you need to run it through twice I haven't ever had a problem with them letting me run it through at no cost. No hand towel drying here but it's still a good car wash. read more

I went here once based upon a recommendation, and they did a great job. I normally hand-wash my car, but I thought I had found my new car wash! Then the person who recommended this place went back to them and paid extra for the tire and rim service. An employee sprayed the tire and rim cleaner all over the front end and splattered it onto the hood and side panels of his vintage-era truck, which stripped the hand wax job that my friend had recently applied and left the paint splotchy and dull. After my friend saw what had happened to the paint job, he went back and was told he would have to call the manager, which he did. The manager didn't respond to several phone messages for approximately two weeks. When he finally responded, my friend emailed photos to him and asked to have the paint on his truck buffed out, and the manager said that the damage wasn't the car wash employee's fault. I then called the manager and identified myself and told him politely that he had just lost two customers, and that my friend and I both were referring all our friends and family members to a different car wash based on how he handled the situation with my friend's vehicle. My friend was simply asking for the manager to take responsibility for his employee and to have his truck buffed out. The first thing the manager did was to begin laughing, after which he told me that our phone call was being recorded. I said, "Okay," and proceeded to tell him politely that I had worked in the business professions for 45 years, that I felt his handling of the situation was inappropriate, and that he could have retained us as customers by changing his attitude and making the situation right. He continued laughing and told me 1) that he looked at the PHOTOS of my friend's truck (when I asked him if he inspected the truck itself, he said that he didn't); 2) that my friend was lying about when and where the damage to his truck occurred; 3) that he went to the car wash (which he did--days or weeks afterwards) and inspected the equipment and found nothing wrong with it; and 4) that the tire and rim cleaner that was used on my friend's truck is used at all of his "numerous" car washes, and it is meant to be used on a car's painted areas. (I looked up the owner's State of Michigan records; they have one car wash in Farmington as well as a registered address in Plymouth.) The manager then hung up on me. The majority of my career was spent in the legal profession at a major automotive company. I know that tire and rim cleaner--specifically the heavy duty formulas used by car wash companies--is not intended to be sprayed on a car's painted surfaces, especially when those surfaces are hot. I also know that auto experts will agree that it's manufactured specifically for steel, aluminum, and chrome, and that car washes use a heavy duty version of the chemical. If you care about your car and want to deal with professionals who will not demean you but who will treat you and your property with respect, don't patronize this business. read more

Not usually on this side of town but I have used this place before. Today I will say the full service wash I paid for left me with a dirty back end and wheels. So this tells me to pay extra for prepping tired and wheels so they come clean or insisting that the back end of an SUV be brushed clean before being run through tunnel is necessary. For great service, a great quality wash, I definitely recommend Carousel. They provide industrial vacuums like at every other car wash, and as far as I know they don't do any detailing of your interior, but the great price, service and quality has been consistent for over 20 years by the same owner / manager. read more

Pulled up to pay with a card. After the cashier ran my card I ask if I could tip on the card and his response was a brash "You could have." I asked if he could run it again for a few bucks to tip the employees and his response was an even harsher "I'm not going to run it for a few bucks." I'm glad I never tip because when I pulled into the wash the employees yelled at the top of their lungs to put the car in neutral. I was having a hard time putting it in neutral since it was a newer vehicle. But they didn't seem to care, they kept yelling "SIR, NEUTRAL!" Not coming back here again. read more
