We supplied seconds tile from Heath Ceramics, which varies greatly in size and glaze, and yet Victor's skills and expertise made both installations look great. He was on time, friendly to work with, and made excellent design suggestions, from grout color to trim. Angel was friendly and fast to respond with quotes and answer our questions. We were updating a guest bathroom and contacted Zapa Tile for a quote. Angel, the owner, immediately contacted us and set up an appointment to have Victor come and take a look at the project. Within a day Victor came over, took a look at the scope of the project and provided us a quote. His team came a few days later and did an amazing job of installing our tile. With great attention to detail they matched pattern flow of each tile and finished with perfect grout color and width. I highly recommend Zapa Tile. I used them for my master bathroom shown here and my parents used them for 2 bathrooms and a kitchen. First, they are so nice and easy to work with. We hired Zappa Tile for retiling of two bathrooms and a laundry room. Great crew; professional and hard working. Supervisor Victor was easy to communicate with and stayed in contact with us and the crew. We had an unforeseen issue arise in the middle of the job when a rotted subfloor was discovered under the old laundry room tile. I have to echo the prior reviewer Natalie's sentiments. We did three bathroom floors, and they handled the tear out of the old vinyl or carpeting, and all phases of preparation for the new tile floors. They even gave me a very fair quote to tear out a shower surround (all the glass and framing, the old tile walls, plus the thick, heavy shower pan) - even though I went with cultured marble as the new shower pan and walls. The owner, Angel Zapata, is accessible, understanding and very easy to work with as concerns the many tile types and grout color choices, timing & scheduling issues, and quality control. His workers (I've interacted with Victor and Hugo mostly) are capable and also easy to work with. They are meticulous and efficient and clean up very thoroughly when finished. Outstanding and professional service. Victor and Juan are skilled, really know tile and provided assistance in finalizing design. Their knowledge and experience was evident throughout our project. They tiled the master bath floor and large new shower. The always arrived on time if not before and told us at the end of each day when they would arrive next. Polite, thoughtful and hard working. They put safety first and care about us and our home not be exposed to dust, dirt, or their presence. Truely the best, only ones who consistently clean up their work site, and put all equipment safely away each day. Victor is a skilled communicator, excellent at providing information about products and options. He provided options about how certain parts of the project could look, samples of colors and patiently showed me what the finished project would look like suing one vs another. Their use quality work tools and take pride in their work. Every edge was perfectly cut, grout expertly applied, not variations in color, texture or height. These guys are awesome. I am late to write this review, but back in May they completed a job with me to take out my original fiberglass standing shower area, expand it a bit, built a pony wall and install tile that I picked out. They were very timely as I had a deadline to finish it and they exceeded this timeline. They were the fairest price of at least 5 competitors and as they are licensed you can be assured of the longevity of your project. The shower looks amazing and when I had the glass guys come for their part of it they were blown away at the skill and quality of the tile work. Great work Angel, Victor and crew! read more
