I stepped into Zamel's looking for a sapphire ring. A la Duchess of Cambridge Style. They had so many rings with slight variations in design and size, I was impressed. I was particularly astonished when the sales assistant informed me that the two rings next to each other virtually identical differed vastly in price, as one was a real sapphire and the other a synthetic sapphire. When I looked at the rings, they looked pretty much the same to me, and having no way of being able to distinguish which one was real, I decided not to buy it. The product may not be the best, but their service was very good. The sales assistant was professional and patient in explaining the differences.
