Zambrero is one of the various eateries that came to be with the revamp of Barkly Square and I have to say that I like it. I really like it! Zambrero prides itself on bringing you a healthy version of the amazing Mexican cuisine, whilst also providing food to those living in poverty in Africa, Asia and the Americas. How do they do it? Well, everytime you buy a burrito or bowl, Zambrero's distribution partner Stop Hunger Now (via their Plate 4 Plate initiative) will donate a meal to those in need on those continents.
I've had lunch there once and quite liked it. It reminds me a lot of Subway with how their supply chain is setup and your ability to choose from different ingredients and customise your burrito.
It's not the best mexican out there naturally but it's still pretty good and for a good cause as well.
I'd definitely recommend it if you're after a quick healthy Mehican lunch! read more
