The cozy atmosphere at Zama Punjabi Kitchen underscores the authentic flavors of the home cooking at this South Asian restaurant! The friendly servers and the clean, modern setting just added to the experience too! We started our meal off with the mini poppadums with chutney & pickle, which were basically little puffy crackers with a spicy pickle, a mint-cilantro chutney, and a sweet chutney for dipping. My pick for a main course was the Green Thali, which came with a sampling of a bunch of different vegetarian dishes from their menu, along with pilau rice and naan bread. The Achari Paneer Tikka was spiced farmer's cheese grilled to perfection and served with a slice of bell pepper; the Zama Chana Masala was a simple chickpea curry simmered with onion & tomato; the Auntie Ji's Vegetable Curry was a delicious medley of cauliflower, peas, and other vegetables in a tomato/onion curry; and the comforting Zama Dal Makhani was a simple mixture of creamy, slow-cooked black lentils & kidney beans! The thali also came with a very pungent Chilli Pickle and a cooling Kachumber Raita. Every element of this thali was just so nicely executed and the flavors were all on point, without being too salty or overspiced! What great food, and what a great value too! read more
