Update - I received a call from the owner Theresa within an hour of posting my review. She was very…read moreapologetic and her sincerity was very evident. She immediately began looking into what had happened before she called me, and now has the ball rolling. It should be noted that she called from her personal cell phone and is personally making sure that everything is rectified. I dreaded the prospect of starting this process over. Until this we were genuine "five star review" customers of Worthington Jewelers from prior experience. That is what made this so shocking to me. However, Theresa has restored the image and impression we have carried of Worthington Jewelers from the first time we walked in the door. I want to make sure that I provide up to date information and reviews so that folks can see for themselves what is happening and make their own decisions. Also, if I can take the time to write a negative review, then I can certainly take the time to make sure folks know when the store steps up to the plate to make things right. Theresa - thank you. Truly. You don't know how much it means to me that you called me, and that my wife will get this gift. *** I am a repeat customer of Worthington Jewelers, so I am shocked that I have to write this review. I went in just before Valentine's Day with a request to have specific stones mounted in a yellow gold cross. Each stone was specific corresponding to a special month between my wife and I. I started working with Stephen on this. It was going to take some time which I understood. Stephen starts the process to see what needed to be done with regards to the setting, how it comes, replacing stones, etc. I was expecting and update within about a week (per Stephen) which did not come. I had to call to follow up. That led to a return call and a trip in to the store to inspect the parts. Several adjustments were needed (that is also expected in custom work for jewelry, so I was good with this). Once the revisions were decided I left the store expecting get an update within the next couple weeks at the very least. No dice. After almost a month of no contact I called and left a voicemail asking for an update. This was about two and a half weeks ago. I received no call. I made a return call and left another voicemail four days ago. I still have heard nothing from the store. I don't understand why none has taken the time to return my call, or why I'm clearly not important enough to them to take seriously. The piece I am having customized may not be a $10,000 piece of completely custom jewelry, but I am a customer. If they are not interested then at least tell me. If they are facing staffing shortages and are running behind and can't get to the work I understand that as well. I'm flexible. There are no words for the level of disappointment I feel over this. It took me a long time to come up with this idea, pick the stones that had the most meaning, and put the entire idea together. This is not easy for me to do for various reasons. This is something my wife will cherish due to the meaning behind it. She has been through several very tough years and I just wanted her to have something that would show how much I truly love her. I will still get this piece made somewhere. I just don't know where yet. Very disappointed.

YE Gurl Says: Service Matters More Than Sparkle at Worthington Jewelers…read more Place: Worthington Jewelers Context: Bridal show intro + in-store visits I really wanted to root for this one. I'm a fan of local, mom-and-pop businesses--especially for something as meaningful as wedding jewelry. Met the team at a bridal show, and while the energy felt a little off (crowds were heavy, so I gave grace), they warmed up enough to mention an extended bridal promo and encouraged me to stop in. So I did. And unfortunately... the experience never quite landed. When I came into the store, it was busy again--fair--but the interaction felt just as unclear as before. I explained exactly what I was looking for (even showed a Tiffany & Co. reference), and was immediately told customization was the only option... with no pricing guidance, no range, no transparency. That's a miss. When I did find a band in-store that worked, I moved forward--still without a clear idea of cost. After a long back-and-forth with a manufacturer, the quote came back at over $1,500 more than the comparable Tiffany piece. Pause. I also had to remind them about their own bridal promotion while actively making a purchase. That shouldn't be on the customer. To salvage the visit, I added earrings and dropped off jewelry for repair (which, to be clear, the smith work was excellent). But the buying experience? Still off. And here's where it really mattered: I later found my original ring through my Tiffany rep and called to cancel the order. Thankfully, I caught it in time--because buried in the fine print is that custom orders are non-cancelable. That's the kind of detail that should be clearly communicated upfront, not discovered later. Even the cancellation process felt like work. I was told someone would call me back... hours passed... I had to follow up myself to close the loop. Final visit to pick up my repaired jewelry? Empty store, but still somehow rushed. I tried to browse, got prompted to check out early, asked about items I'd previously seen--and was told they didn't exist. Then spotted them right next to me at checkout. At that point, I paid for the repair work and left with the same energy I walked in with: rushed, unclear, and not particularly welcomed. YE Gurl Insight: There's a difference between *nice* and *kind*. Nice feels scripted. Kind feels intentional. And in a category like jewelry--where purchases are emotional, high-investment, and personal--experience is everything. Final Take: * Craftsmanship (repairs): Strong * Retail experience: Inconsistent at best * Pricing transparency: Lacking * Overall vibe: Off I understand why more people are opting for brands like Tiffany & Co. or even online retailers like Mejuri --you get clarity, consistency, and a smoother experience without the friction. YE Gurl Says: Support local when it feels good to do so. But if the experience makes you second-guess a meaningful purchase? Trust that instinct and move accordingly.

From the moment my engagement ring was designed, to adding my wedding band, to now handcrafting my three-year anniversary band... every single experience has been filled with kindness, care, and unmatched craftsmanship. What makes this place extraordinary is not just the jewelry--it's Edward himself. He remembers your name. He remembers your story. He treats you as if your piece is the most important one he's ever made. In a world full of commercial jewelers and rushed transactions, he gives you something rare: time, attention, honesty, and heart. Every ring he's crafted for me holds a memory, a moment, and a feeling... and somehow, he makes each new addition even more beautiful than the last. The diamonds... the quality... the artistry... nothing compares. People think going to a real jeweler means paying more, but the truth is you will not find this level of quality at these prices anywhere else. His work is exceptional, yet still accessible. Choosing Edward Warren wasn't just a purchase--it was one of the best decisions we made for our life together. He's become a part of our milestones, our celebrations, and our story. And for that, I'm forever grateful. If you want more than a ring--if you want a piece of art created with intention, passion, and genuine care--you deserve to experience this place. Truly unforgettable.

Came here about a month ago because I had a chain that I went to my regular jeweler to have the lobster claw clasp replaced because it was loose. The first time I wore it I lost my amethyst pendant from it when I went back I was told it's fine you must not have closed it correctly. I had an amethyst earring that I wanted to make into a pendant to make up for the one that I had lost so I took it to Edward Warren and I also showed them the chain and the jeweler said that it was loose that I should take it back, and she also showed it to another jeweler there, who said the same thing. The only way the other jeweler agreed to replace it with because I told him to other jeweler said it was a bad class, and I decided that he was never going to get my business again and then I needed some other repairs and things done and I went back two more times, so I definitely recommend them they do good work. They are very reasonable. I'm not in the market to really buy new jewelry but they have some beautiful, beautiful jewelry and I'm sure they do custom work too

Buying a Day-Date is a special milestone, and Don helped make the experience memorable in the best way possible. I had insurance so I filed a claim & they directed me to return to Diamond Cellar to pick out a replacement ring. Immediately it was not a pleasant experience. The receptionist never placed me in que despite being the 3rd person in the door after they opened at 10am. I sat annoyed for over 30 mins before approaching her again and asked if I should just make an appt. She said no there was a mix up. I wish I would've just left then. So much happened in between then and now but on 4/25 I called asked if I could speak to a manager because after placing my replacement order they have continued to try to mark the price up despite everything being written up properly & me having both the receipts for the stone as well as the setting. I originally called 3.5 hrs before closing and the receptionist told me if the female manager felt it was important she would return my call. I called back 25 mins before they closed again asking to speak to the manager. She then informed me the manager would call me back closer to closing time. I said do you not close in 25 mins? She said yes then abruptly ended the phone call that ended with "bye". At this point I'm going to try to reach someone af the corporate office because the way they are behaving like a used car sales lot is appalling. I refuse to pay a penny more than the agreed upon price that is on all my order receipts I was given when I placed the order on 2/21. They have flat out lied twice now about why the cost is changing. Avoid at all cost, even if you've had spectacular experience there in the past. I would much rather have them refund my insurance company the money that was wired to them for the replacement and take my business elsewhere and be treated as a valued customer.

After being professionally sized in-store, I ordered my ring based on their recommendation, but it didn't fit. When I returned to the store, both a manager and an employee confirmed I could exchange it for a larger size rather than resize it, per their policy. They took my ring to process the exchange. Days later, I was told they could only resize it, contradicting what I was promised. They claimed they'd escalate my case for review and follow up, but no one did. I had to call myself to find out my request was denied due to their vague "sustainability pledge." After nearly two weeks of delays, I requested a refund. Again, no one followed up. When I called back, I was told my refund needed further review because it was "past the refund window," even though they've had my ring since January 14th. They also suddenly required the return of promotional items, despite previously assuring me this wouldn't be necessary. Now, I must wait another 24-48 hours for a decision and, if approved, another 5-9 days for processing. Brilliant Earth has failed to honor their policies, misled me, and repeatedly delayed resolution. Their customer service is unreliable, and once they have your money, their policies seem to work in their favor--not yours. Buyer beware.

When it came in and I gave them my set to have the new ring soldered they told me the sizing of the set would be a bit smaller. I told them I didn't want it smaller. When I went back to pick it up, it was quite tight. So they had to resize it. I understand when you get rings soldered it going to effect sizing. What I don't understand is if they can resize a ring then why wasn't it done to match the way it was originally in the first place. So the next time I went in, the set was resized way too big, to the point it fell off my finger. When I told the lady it needed fixed she said "well it's the size you ordered". So apparently she wanted me to just be ok with it falling of my finger. Needless to say I left it there to be resized yet again. Also, I had repeatedly asked for the appraisal papers for the new ring so I could add it to my insurance prior to this. When I asked the lady again that I wanted them, she told me the ring wasn't worth getting insured. My husband spent over $800 on this ring and that was at a discounted price. I'm sure he would think it was worth insuring. He doesn't typically like to pay that amount of money and be like "Here's a new ring honey. If you lose it, damage it or its stolen no biggie. I got money to throw away!" We ordered this in December and I finally walked out of the store with it (and the appraisal papers) in the middle of March. And I'm not happy with it. The size is still too big but at least its not following off my finger. And I'm not happy with the birthstones in it and the band is now misshaped. I feel they completely ruined my wedding set. I'd like to get it unsoldered and take it back for a refund. On a side note, we had problems getting appraisal paper work for a pair of earrings my husband bought me for about $1000 a coupe years ago. Had to ask for it several times before we finally got it.
