It's way too blonde in the bottom so she knew I wasn't happy so of course She had to tow it to match my hair on top. I didn't want the color from the beginning. I told her I wanted to be more blonde my whole head. Now she doesn't Want to get my refund back which I think I have a right to it! She gave no particular reason, just kept touching it and looking at and repeatedly went back and forth until after ten minutes of being prodded like a zoo animal decided enough was enough. I was able to book a last minute appointment at M Salon in Eastchester and they gave me EXACTLY the shoulder length cut and style I wanted in less than an hour with only a picture and a few words for direction. Very DISAPPOINTED in Salon Shige as my 3-year old son had a great haircut experience with the owner a few months back that prompted me to try them for my own hair. I've had my hair cut and styled almost exclusively in the past ten years by Japanese salons in NYC, so I really can't figure out why this one salon found my hair difficult to work with. Looking at the pictures of the other customers, my hair is similar to many of their past customers. Oh well. My son won't be returning either.

The location is off the main road with convenient parking, and when you enter the salon, you feel like you're in a NYC specialty salon. There's always a pleasant smile there to welcome you and it's always busy so you know the word is out. I'm always greeted with a cup of coffee and some sort of sweet delicious snack that makes the experience a true destination. The services are great...from hair care to nail care to even skin care and they continue to expand. I've never been disappointed and can always rely on their quality stylists. I'd recommend making an appointment, but they've always been accommodating to walk-ins as well. Roseann has always been my favorite stylist--she's young, hip, and knows exactly what to do to my hair to bring out my best features. And she really listens to you. There's someone for everyone there. My only negative is that it's a 45 minute drive for me from Stamford...but it's well worth the trip! The chairs in the cutting/stying section are more than generously six feet apart, and the chairs by the washing station are separated by clear screens. 10/10 for cleanliness because you see these other businesses and since late 2021, you know hygiene has definitely been thrown out the window. You know you're dishing out a little more $ when there's massage chairs during the hair wash. In my head I was just wow'd because Chinatown could never lol. Brianna was great during the wash. One thing I have to commend them for is the communication step-by-step. She asked me my preferences in shampoo, and I usually opt for products that offer volume, so she introduced me to R&Co, which was pretty much *the* brand that was used on me throughout my appointment. I really appreciated how she explained the different types of shampoo they used and who would benefit from what. The shampoo, the hair serum, and hair spray I'm pretty sold on because I'm that person who's always looking for the next best thing when it comes to hair and face products. Now Danielle. You are the GOAT. Thank you for showing me what it's like to be well taken care of as a client. There is something in that customer service of yours that feels so warm and it's like, of course the business would be 5 stars on here! All the barbers wear collared shirts, dress pants and their hair meticulously combed. Pure class. Price is irrelevant. They should be charging double! No bells and whistles. The space itself is very dated but it doesn't matter...these guys are true professionals, trained in the old European style. Appointment isn't necessary but it does get busy. I hope it never changes.

Pino his not trained to be a proper hairdresser and you should not trust him with your hair. He doesn't listen to what you want and his technique with scissors is beyond poor. My son's hair is butchered and I would cautiously make sure to take your loved ones or yourself to a more caring and talented hairstylist in the area. The disappointment is big and their attitude beyond despicable.
