Seafood Tom Yum Soup This is just a review of the soup. I ordered for take out. This soup was amazing and exploding with flavor. Plenty of seafood added for 2-4 bowls. If you are not into robust flavor this may not be for you. I ordered a 5 of 10 heat and it was definitely spicy but no more or less than 5 of 10 should be. I can usually handle 8 just fine. I will likely get 8 next time. Often I find myself disappointed by splurging on making it seafood but I find it has the best taste this way (shrimp is also a great way to go). I stumbled upon Zabb Thai Spice Kitchen after a quick search and a five minute drive from my workplace. A lot of reviewers stated that it's cozy. I found out that by cozy, they really meant a small space as there are only about five tables. Yes, count 'em. Five. The wooden paneling does give off an inviting and warm ambiance. However, to get to their bathroom, you have to walk through part of their kitchen, which was an odd feeling. I opted to try a lunch special, available from 11a-3p, at $13.95. It comprises of a salad and your choice of a mini appetizer. They do offer a wider selection of lunch entrees than most Thai places. I chose the SPICY BASIL DISH, made with ground beef. It was flavorful, but I disliked how there were multiple times I discreetly had to spit out the hard chunks of meat. I don't think I'll get this dish here again. I do want to return to try other entrees and hopefully the protein will be better. Side note: They tack on a convenience fee if you use a card, so best to bring some cash. read more

Whoa, the noodle dishes have waaaay to oil, we could not eat the chow mein dish. We smelled the sesame see oil before we opened our "to-go" bag. Too much oil = very bland food and inedible. Delicious Thai food with great weekday lunch specials. The chicken Pad Thai was very flavorful with a lot of crunchy peanuts. It was salty, sweet, and sour all at the same time. Fritters are crispy chicken & shrimp dumplings with sweet chili. These are pretty addictive. Cashew beef was tender and slightly crispy with a lot of nuts, veggies, and tamarind sauce. This dish came with perfectly cooked jasmine rice. The spring rolls include cabbage & sweet radish. Everything was very tasty and lunch portions are generous. When seasonal mango is available you bet we're ordering it. The sweet sticky rice is the most beautiful bright green color and this dessert is always a wonderful treat. Lunch specials are available Mon-Fri from 11am-3pm. Service is great and there's plenty of free parking. Delicious Thai food in a very cozy setting. We enjoyed our dishes that were flavorful and spicy like we like it. The chicken Pad Thai had a generous amount of chicken and a lot of peanuts. The cashew beef also had a lot of tender pieces of beef and a great kick to it. Service was very friendly and fast. So far I've really liked the larb and tom yum. Tom yum feels like it would be great if you have a cold, also excellent balance of flavors. The larb was so flavorful just full of lime juice and fish sauce and cilantro and other flavors. It came with a huge amount of chicken, very good portions. Great music and vibe in the place, and it's busy, lots of people coming through for pickup orders. They have a TikTok channel where they show how the food is made, and it seems like authentic cooking techniques, lots of pounding ingredients to release their flavors. they don't seem to use a ton of oil in general aside from the fried dishes. I like being able to see what goes on behind the scenes making everything. I'll start off by saying the food portion size is small, but everytime we go there the food quality is excellent. Our food always comes out hot with smoke/steam oozing from it , knowing that the meals are prepared fresh. The chef really knows what he is doing , through trial and error within the years, he perfected his craft that hasn't failed yet. You will leave not feeling bloated. The desert is terrific too, highly recommend the banana lumpia our favorite of the options they offer. The rice was green - I've never seen that before. My nail lady/friend said they use bananas to cook the rice in; that's why it's green in color. Great lunch place to keep in mind! I was looking around this area for some great Thai food. Ahaaaaaa! Found one with great lunch specials! I got their pad see ew that came with salad and wontons! It was plenty. I had to take it home. The wontons and salad were decent. The pad see ew was hot and fresh! I liked how they didn't drenched it with the soy sauce. Zabb offered another free appetizer due to a promotion of spending $69 or more which was nice, so then we chose the chicken/ shrimp dumplings. Our first visit to Zabb Thai Spice Kitchen was about a year and a half ago, but we have since been there twice in the last month. It's not that we had a bad experience before, but you can forget about this hidden away spot. There's a counter to order from, which is dead center when you walk in. However, there is seating for about 20 people, 10 on each side. It's a small restaurant and I wouldn't bring a large group. There have a lot of take out orders. It was a bit warm when we dined in the other day, which explains the stand alone fan they had in the middle. On all three visit, the Little Guy had the Beef Noodle Soup with Egg Noodles 5/5. He ate the whole thing all to himself, minus the bean sprouts as he's not a fan. But you know they are doing it right when he sticks to the same thing. We ordered the Green Curry with Fried Tofu 5/5 twice and it was very flavorful, with loads of vegetables and the pop of green peas is a nice touch. On our last visit, we ordered it with vermicelli noodles and the Little Gal really enjoyed it. We ordered the Grilled Pork 5/5 and really enjoyed the dipping sauce that comes with it. That will probably be a repeat item for us. The Beef Jerky 5/5 also is really flavorful and not tough. The Basil Eggplant Dish with Tofu 5/5 is really flavorful as well. Tender eggplant and plenty of tofu makes it a great vegetable dish. Their Coconut Tom Kha Soup with Tofu 3/5 was a bit sweeter than I prefer, and the tofu wasn't as fresh. It was edible, but the Little Gal was gagging on it. Our friend ordered the Coconut Crusted Shrimp and wasn't a fan of it, so we probably won't try it ourselves. Overall, we enjoyed the majority of dishes from Zabb Thai Spice and will return. Love their silver cups as it makes their water seem just extra cold on a hot day. read more

Finally tried it for the first time, the restaurant is small, but clean. It wasn't busy for a rainy Thursday night. The counter lady helped me with my order, she recommended a few things in the menu like the eggplant with basil. I wanted to try it but I stuck with my basic, I wanted to try panang curry with beef, yellow curry with Tofu and Red curry with chicken, so I ordered all three curry with different spice #. I between 5 & 8. I also orderd a side Sticky rice and Thai papaya salad with a #5 spice. All three curries tasted really good! The tofu and chicken was cut and cooked right, the beef on my panang curry was hard and stringy (fatty and stuck together). That gave them 4 STARS. It could've been 5 STARS except for the beef. I will try it again hopefully the beef is better cut. All in all, my family enjoyed it as well as me. We will try it again. Probably try the eggplant with basil and pad thai. read more

I saw this place on social media and really wanted to try the Thai mussel omelette. I've had it before at other Thai restaurants. Everybody makes it differently. Some are more chewy and some are more crispy. It is served with stirfried beans, sprouts, and a sweet chili sauce. I thought their version was pretty good although not by favorite in town. I thought the portion it was really large and good quality. It just was a little under seasoned. Other dishes, I tried, or the pad Thai add the panang curry. We also had the Nam Khao Tod which is crispy rice salad. It's a very small spot I would definitely say it is a hole in the wall. It probably seats less than a dozen people. If you're into Thai Cuisine, this is one of the best places to go! Great service by the super friendly Thai staff. And their food? Amazing! It's like being transported back to Thailand where I lived for a decade. Prices are also much more affordable compared to the ones at or closer to the strip. They have some Isaan or Northeastern dishes which make me a regular at this place. Laos Papaya Salad, Num Tok, Isaan sausage, and Larp are the Isaan ones I've tried here and my tastebuds are happy. I have no complaints. Pretty much everything I've eaten at Zabb make me want to go back and/or recommend it to other hungry folks like me. Just make sure to let them know of your spice preference. The papaya salad can be very spicy. Their portions are big so go in with your group. Seating is limited but if you go during quiet hours then you won't have to wait for a table. We order from here all the time. The food is delicious. I like that they offer a free appetizer if you spend a 70, or even if you spend 50 you get a free drink. I recommend trying the Thai tea, Tom yum (without fish ball), stuffed Rangoon's and the yellow curry.
