I bought my first car back in 2023 and knew I wanted to get my windows tinted but was too scared to pull the trigger for the longest time. I, like most of the people who use Yelp or other review sites, rely heavily on them when making a decision, especially when it's a costly one. So when I decided to start looking at places to get the tint done, I kept seeing Z Tech get suggested over and over again. I ended up contacting them through their website via email initiating with a few basic questions of cost and the process since this was the first time anyone in my family has ever done window tinting on a car. Within an hour I got a response from DJ, who was extremely helpful and patient with me during our email exchange and he was able to get me in the next day. The process was easy, I dropped my keys off and re-confirmed which tint I wanted on my windows and one of the guys helped me make the decision about what to do on my sun roof. I decided 35% on front & rear passenger windows, as well as the lift gate, and 50% on the sunroof. As for the price, I paid around $780 before I tipped the team who did the install. For me, I don't have any complaints about what it cost because I knew I was paying for the quality of the 3M products + the labor and skill it takes to do this job correctly. For some it may be steep, but for me it was worth every penny. The entire process took about 2-2.5 hours and I couldn't be happier with the results. My car looks so sleek now, you can tell a major difference when the sun beats into your car now vs without the tint. It makes me wish I would've done my windshield too, but I'll most likely come back to Z Tech to do that in the future. I have had several cars that I had tinted here. I also have sent several friends here as well. I had my windows with the crystalline tint done in May of this year with the cost of $299. Due to a broken windshield I had to have it tinted again. The cost in that 4 month timeframe went up $100 to $399. I understand prices go up but seriously in that short on a timeframe. Due to a medical condition I need the windshield tinted. I couldn't afford the extra $100. Very disappointed read more

I was afraid that was only the beginning of more issues but it wasn't. My windows were tinted quickly and the exact shade I wanted. So I used Z tech years ago to tint my BMW and the final product was great. So it was without hesitation that I brought my Porsche 911 here expecting the same experience. The initial experience was good and the gentleman that I worked with was open and knowledgeable about the different products they offered. I ultimately decided to go with the 3M ceramic tint for about $450 and was advised that it will be ready later that day. The experience up to this point was good. So I never received a call that day and I ended up calling in myself the next morning. The gentleman on the phone told me that my car was ready to be picked up. When I arrive I spoke with the gentleman behind the counter and he apologize for not calling me the day before and let me know that they had lost all my info. A little concerning but no big deal. When the gentleman rolled my Porsche out is when I really start to have problems. From a distance she looks great but as I got closer I noticed that there was a giant flap of rolled up tint flipped inside out on the passenger window. I immediately pointed this out and the gentleman went inside to get some sort of heat gun and scraping device to clean it up. While he was doing this I continue to inspect the rest of the job and as you may be able to see in the photographs had some concerns around there clean up around the dotmatrix. I understand this is a challenging area to clean up but it looks like a lot more could've been done as looking on opposing windows the pattern was not even remotely the same. Upon inquiry I was told I could try to scrape it off with my fingernail. I expressed my dissatisfaction and the gentleman I was working with was understanding about it and advised that he would have his manager give me a call when he returned from lunch. Note, this call was never received. To add insult to injury, when I went to get in my car and leave my driver side seat had been slid forward to the point where I couldn't comfortably fit in it. OK no problem but when I go to slide it back the electric motor was unresponsive. Z Tech let me bring the car back into the garage so I could try to figure out what the problem was. With no assistance offered I swapped out a couple fuses but cannot get it to work. After about 15 minutes of messing with this I realize that the power to the seat has been unplugged by the tech and needed to be plugged back in. I would expect a lot more from this vendor on a $500 job. I will be taking my business elsewhere in the future. read more

I recently purchased a new car and needed to get my windows tinted. Called up Z Tech and on a Wednesday and asked if they had any availability on Saturday, they were able to accommodate me. I was in and out in under an hour and a half. I've had windows tinted before so I know that there are sometimes little bubbles that will disappear after a couple days. After about a week I noticed just one little spot that looked like a bubble or lifting. I called Z Tech and told them about the issue and they said bring it by and we will check it out. I brought it by first thing Saturday morning they sent someone out to look at it and with no questions asked said they would redo that window and he said he could do it right then and there while I wait. He also double checked the other windows for any imperfections. They had the one window redone in about 40 minutes and I was on my way. We all like things done right the first time but nobody is perfect and things happen. How a company/business reacts and handles a situation like this is the most important thing. Z Tech has great customer service and this is proof that they stand behind their work. I will be a customer for life. read more

If you care about your car, do some research before you select your window tinter. Not only is the product important, but much more important is the skill of the installer. Many years ago before I knew better I had these guys tint the windows on my Lexus SC300. After they were done, they had cut the leather and rubber molding on some areas of my car's interior! When I brought this up they said there was nothing they can do about it and that I could not prove they did it. Years later I am so surprised they are still in business... Had my windows tinted and now the top 4 inches of the rear defroster do not work. Ztech says it couldnt habe been them but after 4 years of the defroster working and they touched it last, i find it hard to believe this is a big coincidence. Very disappointed. read more

Had my 2020 Toyota Avalon 3M paint protection film installed by them. They were the same price as Toyota but I did not know who Toyota was going to use. I made an appointment and they needed the car for the day. Very friendly on the phone and in person. I was impressed with the final results and would use them again. I have had the PPF on for over 2 years and it is awesome. No chips in my paint, no peeling and no discoloration or turning yellow from YV rays. read more

When the other place basically told me completely different information from the time I had called and asked questions to when I actually showed up for my appointment, I decided to yelp a different spot. The Z-Tech associate I spoke with was helpful and clear with their pricing as well as the timeline of how long the tinting process would take. I had work done twice by Z Tech on two separate vehicles. The first vehicle I had tints placed on were for all windows (excluding windshield). The second vehicle I had tints placed on were for all windows including a brow on the windshield. Both times the work was phenomenal! Z Tech moved quickly, gave a wide variety of tint percentages, and provided great customer service. The only reason I gave four stars instead of five is due to the price. The price is much higher than most local companies (which almost deterred me from going back the second time) however, I appreciated the quality on my first vehicle. read more

This was my first experience with getting tinted windows and Z-Tech was wonderful. My husband called on a whim to see if we could get in same day and they took us in with no problem. I had never driven a vehicle with tinted windows but was excited to try it on my Honda HR-V. The employees were very helpful in explaining the different types of products they carried and have samples up on their windows so you can get a good idea of what it'll look like on your car. Although there was a little confusion with what I was quoted at vs what they were going to charge me, the problem was easily fixed and I left there very happy with my experience there. I recently had my 2014 Chrysler 300s tinted at this location. That was a mistake. I went in and was quoted a price and time for them to complete. I agreed and asked if they would call when it's done because I would leave and then comeback, they agreed. About 3 hours later I was driving past the store and my car was outside (they hadn't called me). I went in and they said it was done. After a week I noticed gaps and bubbles on the rear window. In addition to that the passenger front window had a scratch in the tint (appeared to be from a squeegee). I went in and told them and they became annoyed they I even questioned them. One of the guys came out to look and told me the gaps are normal and the scratch was on the glass. I explained to the guy you could feel the scratch and he again repeated that it was the glass and it was impossible they would do that. They agreed to redo the rear window. It's been over two weeks and the new tint they put on looks worse then the first time (picture added). I was browsing their facebook page and saw a customer added a picture of his 2014 white Chrysler 300s. I sent him a message and he said his looks perfect and he had no gaps or bubbles in the rear window. This place will never get anymore of my business. read more

I have been a long time customer of Z Tech but my last experience was not satisfactory. I have two vehicles and brought in both to have the annual rust proofing and paint protection renewed. The first vehicle was done very well and the surface was reflective and smooth to the touch like it should be. The second vehicle was done but was not smooth to the touch (in fact it was rough like no product was used) and looked the same as when I dropped it off with the exception of the tires looked treated. I call an asked about it and was told that they do the same process for every car and that it was my paint job that is causing the difference. The first car was 10 years old and looked better than my second car that is 3 years old. I am very dissatisfied with this experience and will most likely not be going back in the future due to the inconsistency in the quality of work. read more
