He doesn't have a dental hygienist who cleans your teeth, he's a do-it-himself kind of guy...with that said, this place is soooo outdated. Making an appointment with him is as difficult as trying to get his staff to submit your dental services to insurance company correctly. (Sometimes the "forget") The past couple of years, we've had many issues with incorrect billing and it's probably because he has a high turn around rate with his staff. The blonde receptionist that quit was as rude as can be every time you engaged with her. The last time I was getting my teeth cleaned, I was getting my teeth polished and the Asian dental hygienist pictured in the yelp profile was talking shit about my mom, TO ME. Needless to say, I never returned after that. I found my entire family a new dentist and we are very happy. He's gentle, calm, and great takes care of me. Sadly, I've had more than my share of dental dramas and traumas. He's rearranged his schedule on numerous occasions to see me, including today. I'm headed out of town tomorrow and I had already made an appointment for a painful tooth a couple of weeks from now. When it got worse today, I literally jumped off a bus on Water & Wisconsin on my way to work, called the office from the corner, and was in a dentist chair 5 minutes later. He took his time to analyze my problem and come up with the best plan for care given the fact that I have an early flight tomorrow. He's a first rate dentist and a kind human. One of the many things I love about Milwaukee is that they have kept their architecture and old buildings. I think there is actually a historical society on the first floor. Anyway, while the building is quaint, the office is warm and up to date. Everyone from the front office, to the hygienist, to Dr. Zeeb are very nice and make you feel comfortable. I have to be honest I am that person who has dental anxiety, I do not know why but whenever I go to the dentist I sincerely get palpitations. Everyone in this office makes you feel very at ease. I had a full exam in which unfortunately resulted in the diagnosis that I need to have some cavities filled. However, Dr. Zeeb showed me the x-rays and explained everything thoroughly and showing me the pictures and my options. Betty was my hygienist and she is very gentle and works very quickly! Dawn at the front desk is really good about working with tricky schedules, getting insurance information and reminders. So glad I was able to find a dentist for the whole family in a location convenient to our home. There is a parking garage right next door and Dr. Zeeb's office does validate your parking...yay!

I almost had my teeth cleaned at MATC and just one month prior to my visit at Ultimate Dental, I had x rays and the dr poked around and said I had 0 cavities. Then one month later Ultimate Dental I have 12?!!! They scheduled 4 follow up apts. my dad is a retired dentist and told me to get a second opinion so I did. Guess what. 0 cavities. I also have asked Ultimate Dental for a copy of my X-rays ( I want my dad to see them) and they will not send them to me. Do not go here- they almost made me get a ton of unnecessary work done in my mouth.

This is a small operation with a hygienist (Debbie), receptionist, and dentist Dr. Bolan. Everyone is nice. It is a very relaxed atmosphere. Debbie is very sweet and gentle on your teeth. The dentist listened to my concerns and offered suggestions. I have been twice every year since 2011, and I really like the small office environment. They treat you like a person, not a customer.

He seems to keep up to date on recent dental research and seems very attentive to any of our dental needs without going overboard with recommending procedures. Also, the TVs with cable in the dental chairs are a nice touch. They were also excellent with our 1 year old son! I thought he would run away when he saw the dental tools, but they made it fun without pressure if they couldn't finish the cleaning. They were able to finish though with minimal crying. They made it fun for him! They had a cartoon on the TV and let him see the equipment before using it. He also liked his sticker at the end. The waiting room has a nice view of the river, but I never spend too much time looking at it. Wait times are always very short! Also, they are very flexible with us when scheduling or rescheduling our appointments. I can't speak for the parking, because we live very nearby and walk. There is a for pay structure attached to the building. I'm not sure if they validate or not. I love having such a great dentist so close to us!

Cons: they don't accept all insurance. And since they have their own lab, they like to wait for little problems to get big enough to justify a crown (rather than manage little problems more conservatively with fillings). They've invested in the lab, so naturally they want to do crowns - sort of a specialty, and the crowns I have gotten from them are very nice - function is great, as well as aesthetics. But my new dentist has pointed out a bunch of little cavities that can be filled right now. This approach should save me money as well as time in the dentist's chair, by postponing (maybe even eliminating) the need for a crown. Bottom line: if they accept your insurance, and you really do need a crown ... go to Tosa Dental; you will be very happy with their work. But if you would rather try to deal with issues earlier when they are smaller, there are other dental practices that do take a more conservative approach.
