I almost never write negative reviews, but I had to make an exception for this company. I've been trying to Cancel Service with this Yurz/Promote for months and they continue to bill me after making multiple cancellation attempts. First off, be prepared to wait on hold for well over 30 Minutes just to reach anyone (don't be surprised if it takes a few days or even a week of repeated attempts to get through to an actual person). Once you're luckily enough to reach a representative, they will do everything they possibly can to keep you from cancelling (which I understand since that's how the sales business works), however after you Specifically tell them you want to cancel they will continue to bill you. They'll tell you that you need call back in on the last day of your billing cycle since you've already pre-paid the full month, then after calling back (which takes days to get through) they explain that they just billed you again in advance for the future month and they cannot refund the future month. They continue this cycle for as long as they can until you finally agree to just take the loss for the future month and accept that this is how their fraudulent company operates. I've spoke with multiple managers & representatives over there, and they've all repeated this same fraudulent practice of billing a month ahead and trying to prevent you from cancelling at all costs. Aside from making the cancellation process nearly impossible, the service itself is 3 times more expensive than similar services I currently use. They claim they have a special arrangement with Facebook, but I assure you that the other service providers post the Exact same way and it looks identical to the Yurz/Promote posts. They also offer other services that were Grossly Misrepresented (such as their Review service). I really hope this review saves someone from the agony that I went through with this company. Please do your homework before providing them any payment information because once you're in their billing system it will take an act of God to cancel. read more

I bought the VIP package for realtors for $159 and they promise me a lot : commercial contain on YOUTUBE ,Facebook business page with 150 likes at month and 3 other add's on web's. FB page has been up for 3 weeks and has 0 likes and they post only a few articles .... So I got the call this morning and let me say this. I was an agent a few years ago and am just recently getting back in the business. So I am actually very open to marketing and advertising and have been in fact looking at and in touch with Realtor.com, Zillow and another company like Yurz who is offering basically the same product(first page google results, etc...) So they actually called me at a good time and they had my ear and attention. At that moment however I was on a long ride, hadn't eaten and needed some time to process this info and digest it. I really was interested. As with other reviewers here, I was hugely hugely turned off by the high pressure lets do it right now sell. Like if you don't do it now, screw you you missed the opportunity of a lifetime goodbye. I also asked if I could do my research and have a little time to ponder my Options. I asked if he could call me back in an hour or two. It's funny because he probably would have had me if he did that. Honestly. He wouldn't allow it and would not stop talking like a machine. I became more and more agitated and finally hung up on him. A word to his trainers. The pitch is good. Many good selling points to hook someone. It got me. The intense reading off script and barely letting me a get in a word and demanding action right now with a hint of threat is so not good. Killed the whole thing for me. You are reaching out to salesmen for gods sake. As someone else said, we are solicited constantly and know the drill. You seem to have potentially a good offering but you are blowing it big time with this archaic and absurd sales tactic. read more

It happened to me too! Susan Bigrer called me with her sale speech trying to sell me a VIP package for $159. Asking me right away for a credit card number. Come on, an intelligent person would not give a credit card number to the first person who call on the phone. Same story here, as soon as I told her I had to research the company before spending money with them, she became more and more aggressive. I told her to send me everything she promised in writing and she said that they don't send email or contact information. Of course she wouldn't want me to research and see all this negatives review they have here. An as you can see for every review they have a cookie cutter answer, the same answer to every review. She had me for more than 30 minutes on the phone. She really wasted my time, and at the end of the conversation she became so aggressive, even disrespectful, that I hanged the phone. I wrote an earlier review and had a Yurz manager offer me a free month if i would take down my 1 star review. so i did. I heard from someone a couple days latter who set everything up. NEVER HEARD FROM ANYONE AGAIN. now i get a bill sent to me. I tried to call and tell them "thanks but no thanks" on hold for 15 minutes and hung up. Hey call me after a month and see if i like the service, not 2/3 months latter and send me a bill. I had a sales rep call me from Yurz yesterday. He seemed like a great guy-- really knew how to cold call (he spoke calmly and slowly and pulled me in with a joke or two so I wouldn't hang up on him). After describing the marketing package and the price, I was legitimately interested in signing up, but explained that I was a new real estate broker still waiting on my first commission check, and that I'd be interested in signing up in a week or two. He rebutted my objection with another explanation of the package and its competitive price. I explained again that I literally didn't have the money for another week or two, and then I tried asking for his name and number so I could call him back in a week, but he quickly spoke over me loudly and literally hung up on me. Who hangs up on people when they're cold calling? Yurz does... UPDATE: Yurz management quickly contacted me after posting this review to apologize profusely (3 managers in total contacted me on separate occasions). One discovered that the sales rep I had spoken to had a great record but was participating in some kind of competition with his coworkers and his call to me was the last for the day. Yurz management gave me a free month of their complete service package and I agreed to add some stars to my review and to update it so that it reflects my entire experience. I was legitimately impressed by how they handled my bad experience. They did exactly what disgruntled customers/clients want after having such an experience and they improved my attitude about them, and I think it suggests they (usually) offer great customer service. The Yurz products seem great for someone that isn't good at managing a professional page on Facebook, a video presence on YouTube, etc. read more

I just subscribed to services and am skeptical based on all the negative reviews I've read. My rep was very nice but as most salespeople targeting real estate agents, it's a "buy now" script. I'm giving them a shot for a month and I'll follow up in 3 weeks or so to let you know how my experience turned out. The rep was quite confident I'd have a new client or two within a month. Yurz contacted me after seeing my Yelp review and was very diligent about making me feel alright. We'd all agreed that I had been mis-informed about what they actually do and I believe that they intended on addressing it with the party that did so (if they were still working there). They refunded everything that I paid so I was only out my time that I'd spent on the phone regarding it. That was in excess of 3 hours, but that's OK. I have no idea if they are proficient at SEO work since that was not something I was seeking. It is what they do in actuality. But I do know that they seemed to feel badly about my experience and they rectified it. I hope that they will be certain that the representatives that are making the "cold calls" are straightforward about what they offer and what they do not. But I will acknowledge that after the initial "cold call" that I received all parties that worked there seemed extremely professional. Got a call from Millie, she was pushy and rude when I explained to her I needed to do some research about the company. I could tell from her desperation to sign me up something was wrong and her lame excuse why I could only see a mock example and not an actual client of theirs. This is not a review of the product itself. I didn't stick with it long enough to put it into practice. Not for any fault of Yurz, but because my budget had dried up and I could not afford to use this marketing for the time being. Note that they were extremely helpful. They first offered options for me, including delaying billing for two weeks, then a website only option. I really could not do any of these options, so they cancelled my account per my request I think they could be a good option as extra marketing. I look forward to revisiting using Yurz again. They're sales team has a note to contact me in March. The wait for someone to answer was 30 minutes, so if you need to talk with them, be prepared to wait. I get the sense that this is typical. They did come on the line after 10 minutes and ask if I wanted to wait or have them call back. I chose to wait. read more

3 months total ... Couldn't put my company's favicon on the site...everything else worked as expected, however the campaign needs much more than just a Google ad to bring results. The decreased rating is for the lack of flexibility needed to make their offering as a whole actually work for me. You would be making a mistake if you did business with this company. While they did a quick job of setting up a website, it was built so that it was only one page and showed up in only a few, very specific searches so as to be useless. I had numerous issues with the facebook article feed and unless I checked it on a daily basis, did not notice that the feed had stopped on several occasions. Lastly, after frustration and the inability to get through to talk with a live person, I cancelled by credit card so they would stop billing. This seem to be unable to dismantle my website. I have just read through at least 10 "1 or 2 Star" rated reviews of YURZ. I too just had a call from a man calling himself "Mike" and "Michael Williams" - he called using a Houston, Texas area code - 1 (512) 420-5798 - but told me that he lives and works in Mountain View, California.... you know, next to Google, and that the 512 area code is from their secure outbound toll free number. Just like the other 1-2 Star reviews I too felt the conversation go from "light" to "hard sell" very rapidly when I told him that since he called me, and I don't know him, or his company, there is NOTHING he can say or tell me that will get me to give him my credit card for the $159 for "3 Areas" 6-month Promo. I said, if he wants to email to me a publicity kit, with sample reports, statistics, etc. Then I would research it, and talk it over with my business partner (and wife) tonight and get back with him soon, if I was interested. I am glad to have read the other reviewers here, and also on RipOff Report - there is something that just does not "smell right" about this program, and coupled with the high pressure tactics, nope, not going to do it! Especially after recently getting rid of Zillow's low-performing ad-click program which cost me an arm and a leg! I rated this a 2-Star, because Mike (if that is his real name) didn't go as far with his "hard sell" tactics as I had read some of you had gotten, but I also cut him off short when I sensed what was going on. First, look at the company pictures above. One is of a "Pulp Fiction" mural and instead of holding guns they are holding red phone handsets. This should tell you everything you need to know about the company, their business practice and morals. To further reinforce this, if you are not familiar with the movie, the mural is from a scene in the movie where Vincent and Jules are gunning down some young and naive kids that got mixed up with the wrong people. So, obviously they see you, their customers, as naive IMO. I received a very high pressure sales call yesterday. Nothing new to me. I went along and asked some tough questions that were answered poorly. I too was taken to the Key West website and this error message popped up: "OOPS! The page you requested could not be found. Error 404: The page requested cannot be found on this server. Please double check the link you used to arrive here." LOL. I asked to be taken to another customer site and was told they couldn't because of privacy rights???? What??? You can take me to one but not another. Are there no privacy rights in Key West? So, I still stay on the line. I have it on speaker while I'm getting ready with my wife shaking her head because she knows what I'm doing. I sell stuff on Craigslist a good bit and inevitably get a lot of scammers. I just personally enjoy keeping them engaged till I get bored. Long story short, I tell the lady on the line "I'm looking at your reviews and they are horrible and so I'm not interested, so have a nice day." All the while the telemarketer is saying "Drew...Drew....Drew...Drew" trying to interrupt me. I just hung up. To Yurz, I am the guy who said he would rather take his kids out, spend a $100 and have a memorable experience vs. to just give it away to you. After I hung up, I was in my car within 5 minutes taking my boys bowling. On of the boys got really discouraged while playing. After some talking and prodding he decided to give it a try again and again till he started improving. He ended up having a great time, and learned a very valuable lesson in the process. I really felt for the guy who called and tried to sell me on Yurz.com. He was obviously reading from a standard telemarketing script (you would think they would have improved over the years) and kept telling me that they would not provide a referral because they did not need to. Any company that offers a service and works with 28,000 agents would certainly have at least one who would recomend them. This was just one of the sales call from people offering "too good to be true" results. I just hope that "Mike" is able to find a decent job soon. read more

This entire company is a bunch of scam artist. They never answer their phone and you can stay on hold forever and then it just hangs up on you. I someone got connected to a sales person who said he worked with realtors to help promote their business. When I told him I was calling to cancel, he kept calling me bro and would not connect me to customer service to cancel my account, which they just automatically renewed and started charging my CC card without permission. He said he had is own issues and needed to make a sale or he was out, then just hung up. This company should be sued and I have seen other reviews on the BBB about people having the same issue. I was contacted by YURZ and initially signed up. After I was able to research the company I tried to contact them through the phone number that they have listed on my credit card statement. It is someone's home number. I called their online number and left a voicemail. Someone named Michelle called and left a voicemail with a phone number but when I called that number I got a message that it was a disconnected number. I signed up with Yurz. The pitch was really convincing. After first month and receiving zero leads I decided to cancel. The silver tongued salesman tells you that you can cancel at any time. But the catch is that they won't cancel until you talk to a "special" person. The hook is that person is never available. They don't answer their phone. And no one else can take your cancellation. I have spent over an hour on hold this week listening to the worst canned music waiting to speak the the "special" person. The whole deal strikes me as a scam. They won't answer the phone and your credit card keeps getting hit for charges. Bottom line, no leads, don't do what they say that they will do read more

I have used YURZ for my business Facebook account for a year and a half. In that time I have not had one client referral that came from Facebook. After exploring other Facebook business services I decided to cancel my YURZ account and go with someone who could provide the same service cheaper. I don't think anyone works the phones on the customer service side of this company. I have called repeatedly, being on hole for over an hour at a time, and no one ever picks up. In total I have been on hold for almost 2 1/2 hrs. total and haven't spoken to anyone. I have also sent repeated emails on their "contact us" page, and once again, there is never a response. They give you a great song and dance in order to sign you up, then disappear. Save your money and your sanity and go with someone else. read more

I was promised a customized website and didn't get that. Asked for help with building the generic site they had as a template and no one helped. 8 months of no follow up to see how my services were going. I asked to get the reports of the traffic going to my site. They never set that up until 7months into the service. I asked to cancel and they forwarded me to call a number, of which I did and was on hold for over an hour (who has time for that). I just had the most pushy aggressive sales pitch of my life from these guys. Should have hung up when she seemed nervous that I asked her how to spell her company's name. I explained my concerns and the women I was talking to literally repeated what she had already said. I repeated my concerns. She repeated what she said. I said "I'm not comfortable with this, I'm not going to do it." She expressed she didn't understand what I'm uncomfortable with and repeated her sales pitch. I said "I've told you my concerns and I'm not going to do it." She started her pitch again and I said "You've already said this. I've told you I'm not doing it. You are being pushy." She said I have not told her I was done and then said "Fine I'll give my free advertising to another realtor." If you cold call me, don't act like you are screwing me over at the end of the call when I don't take you up on your service that I'm not so sure will ever actually work. I don't know if there service works or not, based on other reviews it seems like it works for some and others they paid back to improve their reviews, but I wish I hadn't spend 15 minutes giving this rude girl a shot at her sales pitch. Ian Gordon called me today and what he was selling indeed seems legit and worth my consideration. However, their sales tactics are aggressive and insulting. I was seriously considering advertising through them and told him I just needed to have a night to consider it and tell my wife what I was planning on spending our hard earned money on. That, apparently, is unacceptable in California. I don't respond to high-pressure sales. Telling me I have to decide right there and now is not how you're going to get my business. Telling me to call my wife to discuss it while he waited on the phone, interrupting her at her job to get an answer right away is not acceptable. Telling me that I wasted HIS 20 minutes... that's insulting to say the least. He refused to let me call him back the next day, even though I had the company info, his name, the 800#, and everything. If this is how Yurz trains their sales staff, then I would stay away from them unless you are the type of person who just spends money without doing your own research and discussing with your spouse. In my marriage, we make decisions together. Apparently that's not good enough for Ian, who implied that I'm the one who makes all the money so I should make all the decisions. Who says things like that? Not to mention soliciting sales on my phone number, which has been registered with the FTC Do Not Call List for nearly a decade. So Yurz breaks the law by calling you, insults you when you don't bite at their aggressive pitch, and then tells you that you wasted their time. Granted they might be awesome, but the representative I spoke with informed me that they have been in business for over 11 years.!! Why haven't I heard of them? 2. He promised I'd be featured on Google and Bing first results page when someone searched for Atlanta Real Estate Agent. Pretty strange as this market is super hot, how come there are no other agents grabbing at this?! Why can I so easily select three major cities in the metro area and they have no other agents already being marketed for those areas? 3. I asked to see how this worked with another customer, and the representative said, I can't for privacy reasons. WTH, I did ask for the agent's SSN, just a city I can search and see how the client is being featured ..... He was really flustered by that question too. 4. I said give me 2 days to do my due diligence and he started applying more pressure to purchase now. I understand that I can cancel anytime, but I am certain I'll lost $199 the second I gave them by card information.
