Visit one was in 2005 where I was referred to his office to take care of chronic nosebleeds. The office is convenient, located off the highway and close to Quincy Center and East Braintree. There is plenty of parking and soon the location will be even more accessible as the city is putting in a direct highway ramp to the Crown Colony business park to be completed in the next year. My wait time was very short for a mid-morning and the Dr. F. saw me quickly. My visit was not too complex and I was out of there within a half-hour after a painless cautery and recovered very quickly with no further problems. His aftercare instructions were thorough and I felt confident in his treatment. My second visit was May 7th for a morning appointment to discuss chronic sinus headaches/sinusitis. Again, the wait was short and Dr. F. was genial and friendly. He took an interest in my occupation and we chatted a bit as he went over symptoms, which definitely made me feel he was a good listener and engaged in the visit. His facility is equipped with a very nice video scope which allowed him to look inside my nose in the office and he made sure to point out the anatomy of everything we were seeing on the video screen. Very cool, and I love that he made sure I was aware of his thoughts as he was seeing the structures. His followup recommendations were clear and made sure to give me time frame for a revisit. His staff was friendly as well, which is always a plus. He's really a great doctor and I would recommend him to anyone looking for an otolaryngologist.

Like most parents you are scared your child will go under general anesthesia, will the tubes even work, will it make things better for my child, etc. Luckily we had a positive experience. My child had 9 ear infections in her first year of life. Poor Kid. We saw Dr. Grilli, and after examination he recommended tubes. We then spent a morning at Mass Eye and Ear in the city for the surgery. They certainly cater to children in the facility we were in. They had a nurse in the waiting room, to help make sure your child was adjusting. I was allowed to stay with the baby until the actual surgery itself, and the post operation nurses were great. Even though they deal with this everyday they still understood how hard it is to be a parent of a child in surgery. We took the baby home and by 12 noon she was totally FINE. Very little effects from the anesthesia at all. We did go back to Dr. Grilli for custom made ear plugs a few months later. I can't remember the name of the doctor who made them for us, but she was great with the baby. We had the custom made ear plugs done in less than an hour and ready to use. In her second d year of life she only had 2 ear infections-tubes worked!

I had the pleasure of seeing Dr. Aliphas at his Newton-Wellesley hospital office a few times…read morerelated to chronic nasal congestion and difficulty breathing and was consistently impressed by his competence and professionalism. At my first visit, Dr. Aliphas referenced an older cat scan I had back in 2013(!) showing my septum was slightly deviated, but he pointed out that if I had been fine for so many years, there could be another underlying cause to the congestion. He quickly formulated a course of action to help determine the cause of my congestion using a systematic approach in an attempt to rule out certain potential causes first. He ordered an allergy test which came back negative, prescribed a special ointment in case I had a chronic infection, and suggested using nasal rinses to flush out the congestion. I appreciated his tendency to suggest less-invasive tasks first, and save the most invasive (surgery) for last. After ruling out allergies or an infection, we were able to conclude that the deviated septum was likely the main cause of my chronic nasal congestion. Dr. Aliphas explained to me the risks and potential benefits of receiving a septoplasty with turbinate reduction, but noted that if the nasal rinses were offering me enough relief, the surgery may not be totally necessary. Dr. Aliphas also was careful not to guarantee any surgical outcome, given the nature of this type of procedure, which I really appreciated. After thinking it over (ironically I had plenty of time due to COVID-19), I opted for the surgery and had it performed a week ago. Earlier today, he removed my nasal splints (which was painless and took maybe 5 minutes) and I can breathe clearly for the first time in recent memory. I'm 29. I remain impressed by Dr. Aliphas' measured, objective approach to determining the actual cause of my symptoms. He is clearly great at what he does and I can tell he enjoys helping his patients. He never rushed me out of his office if I asked too many questions and always made sure I was comfortable to proceed with whatever option I chose. Most importantly, he made it clear that I was in the driver's seat, and that he was along for the ride no matter which path I chose. Bravo Dr. Aliphas. THANK YOU for your excellent care and for allowing me to breathe normally again. PS, for what it's worth, their desk staff and office manager Leah were excellent at helping me with the FMLA paperwork my employer needed for me to get sick time to have this procedure.

I scheduled an appt. with Dr. Dharia and was seen shortly thereafter. I am happy to say that I no longer have post nasal drip thanks to Dr. Dharia. She is by far the best ENT on the planet!!
