While I lived in Victoria, a dear friend and I always had lunch at Yummy Finds. The name says it all. The menu is relatively long, but, unlike the way I typically order at a restaurant, I always had the same thing--a turkey sandwich with fruit. There was something so satisfying about the simplicity. The turkey was fresh and tender, the lettuce crisp, and the side of fruit and its "dip," which was unusual in that it was a solid rather than liquid, was delicious. The first thing a diner sees upon walking in is a case full of small cupcakes, and we often had to choose one for dessert. One of the best things about the place, though, is that the restaurant is in an old house, with tables set up in several rooms, so we often were able to eat in a room we didn't have to share. Such a cute restaurant! Passing thru Victoria looked on Yelp for a lunch spot and found this. A wide variety of different sandwiches which made it hard to choose. I got a Sweet Heat which wasn't too sweet and didn't have any heat (I like spicy). So good I would get it again. Staff was very pleasant. And of course picked up a dozen cupcakes for our trip. read more

This is such a cute little restaurant, I love the decor and the employees ivery friendly. I've tried the flat bread sandwich and the chicken salad melt, I wasn't a big fan of the melt.. I think it was just because the chicken salad was warm but other than that no complaints. The sandwiches come with fruit or chips and the fruit dip they give you is to die for... will be going back for more! They also sell it in bulk to take home. Had about a million interview lunches when I lived in Victoria, so I spread around where I took people. This was either #1 or 2 for me. Such a quaint little house. It reminds me of Hyde Park in Austin with it's antique fascade. Everything is pink and girlie. Getting a salad and half sandwich here is perfect, but the best part is the cupcakes. I have been to this adorable house years ago but it was always around lunch time and sometimes I couldnt enjoy my food because I was on a time crunch. Well recently it was around 4 pm and my friend and I had just hit gym and did half the disc golf course (which is really long) so we had built up an appetite. I wanted to take him somewhere unique and knew hed like this place. Upon arriving he was confused saying its a house but then we came in and he loved it! It was empty so no wait time and it started drizzly which made it feel so cozy. Atmosphere thus 5 stars...we then ordered our food and it was soo good. He had a shrimp salad on croissant and I got a ham sandwich on flatbread and mmm smelled amazing. The fruit with dip is flavorful and he got fruit with cottage cheese. Since we are both trying to eat healthy we skipped cupcakes but Ive had them before so try them! Cant wait to return! read more

Really cute little cupcake cafe! We always go out of our way to find cupcake joints when we travel with our daughter.. Ok- make that anytime we travel. What a great surprise! We got an assortment of cupcakes, they have such a crumbly and moist texture... It reminds me of an old recipe my MIL makes sometimes... Almost like they pour condensed milk all over them. Lol. Anyway, nice fun flavors, and very tasty. I LOVE that they make fresh juices to order!!! Wish our small town near Dallas had a place like this. We did not realize that they also serve lunch. This was a wonderful choice from Yelp. The shrimp stuffed avocado had PERFECTLY cooked Gulf shrimp in a fantastic spicy sauce. Love to have that sauce recipe. The Buffalo bleu chicken flatbread sandwich was a palate pleasing medley of flavors. And, we enjoyed a banana pudding cupcake and a strawberry shortcake cupcake for dessert. The food is really good, but a little pricey for what's essentially a sandwich shop. The cupcakes I had were fine. I'm not a big fan of no combos. It seems to me that there should be some kind of discount when people order a sandwich with chips and a drink. Who only gets a sandwich? Sad people, that's who. Parking is atrocious.
