Thought about making reservations, but instead we just got there right when they opened and there would've been no need. Granted it was a work week night, literally for the entire hour we were there only two tables arrived. And I was counting us. Perhaps later you might want a reservation or you might have to wait. There were only about seven or eight tables me entire thing so it's cozy. The one person running the cash register and taking orders, was very kind, but a little distracted on her phone. I wonder if she was doing work. She was very sweet though and gave good recommendations. My friend got the Ragu while I opted for the gnocchi. I actually preferred the Ragu for sure. The meat was tender and delicious, and the noodles were thick and delightful. The gnocchi kind of tasted a little, bland and repetitive. To be honest, I wish we could've shared like five tiny plates. Felt like I was eating way too much gnocchi and didn't get a lot of diversity. The bacon on top did help a little. The dishes were about 25 a piece, but they definitely tasted homemade. We opted for the bruschetta as a starter and I would've skipped that. The tomatoes were super fresh and the bread was good but the olive oil was playing. Don't think it was worth $10. The wine selection was brilliant. Generally pretty affordable for the quality. Some delicious wines there that night. Love love, love the aesthetic. We definitely want to return and try some new things.

But they do their best to seat as many people as possible. I got in fairly quickly because i was alone. The food was fantastic. I had the Carbonade a la Biere, and it was so great! Like a beef stew and very tasty. Also had some good Belgian beer. Service was attentive and very fast. The restaurant is lively and exciting - not really a quiet romantic dinner. But a lot of fun!

While the register states No Cards one of the servers told the table next to mine not worry when they didn't have enough euros. Only a drink menu was provided and the dishes being served that day were handwritten on moveable boards or posted on the wall. I had on my list a couple to try but finally went with the Belgian carbonades à la biere which was beef stew with mashed potatoes in a dark gravy made with beer. The plate was quite generous and much appreciated since I devoured it. I enjoyed the creaminess of the potatoes swirled with gravy but the meat could've been a tad bit more tender. Service was good. I think everyone on the floor stopped by my table for one reason or the other. Ambiance was casual and looked like many people were taking their time over their meals. When finished you need head to the register to settle the tab. I paid in cash. Worth a return visit.

The waffle was somehow gummy and oily at the same time, and it was served on a small board that - with the runny yolk situation and piled spinach - made an absolute mess on the table and ground beneath. Last, the avocado was massively brown and was served anyway - we didn't complain or send it back mostly because we had a time limit, but I was unpleasantly surprised at their standard of fare

Waffles and sandwiches were both delicious. Waffles are hard to replicate but these are close, the sandwiches are indistinguishable from actually being gluten. It's a few steps off the big touristy square so it shouldn't even be out of your way. Service is hit and miss so be ready to just speak up. They like it when you know what you want and don't have questions but they will begrudgingly help you. We went more than once and had only one weak service experience and again, we got our food without issue in the end.
