From the very beginning, our entire family has felt genuinely welcomed, supported, and included. There is a real sense of community here, and it's clear that the directors and instructors truly care about their dancers, both inside and outside the studio. Having been familiar with other dance offerings on the island, I can confidently say there is nothing quite like 24VII in Hawaii. The level of training, creativity, industry experience, and opportunities they bring to their dancers is truly something special. Just look at their alumni and what they've gone on to accomplish! The talent and experience behind this studio are incredible, and having that level of professional industry knowledge and exposure right here in Hawaii is such a gift. What I appreciate most is that 24VII doesn't just teach kids how to dance. They teach discipline, accountability, work ethic, confidence, and the importance of pushing beyond your comfort zone. They challenge their dancers, set high expectations, and encourage them to put in the work. These are lessons that extend far beyond the dance floor and will stay with them throughout life. In just six months, we've watched my daughter grow tremendously, not only in her technique and versatility, but also in her confidence, creativity, and willingness to try new things. The variety of offerings is another huge standout. From different dance styles and training levels to workshops, master classes, performances, competitions, and opportunities to learn from industry professionals, there are so many ways for dancers to explore and grow. And while the studio offers incredible opportunities for dancers who want to train seriously, I also want to emphasize that 24VII is absolutely a place for recreational dancers, too! Whether you're a child or an adult, looking to take one class a week just for fun or wanting to pursue dance at a much higher level, there is something for everyone. You can do as much or as little as fits your interests, goals, and schedule. That flexibility and inclusiveness make the studio even more special. Another offering that really speaks to the heart of this studio is their Heartbeat program. It's such a meaningful initiative and a reflection of their commitment to making a difference beyond dance. Programs like this show that 24VII is about so much more than running a business. And I think that's ultimately what sets them apart. You can genuinely feel that this studio isn't simply about making money or filling classes. It's about investing in people, creating opportunities, building character, and helping young dancers grow into confident, hardworking, creative individuals. The dance training is exceptional, but the life lessons and sense of belonging are just as valuable. We're incredibly grateful to have found 24VII. It's a special place with special people who are doing something pretty extraordinary for the dance community here in Hawaii!

He will do his utmost to keep all parents informed of what's going on and when! He is very honest, about all requests and genuinely cares about your keiki's well being! Instructors just rock! I haven't gotten to know their names by heart (sorry it's a generic remembering names problem I have), but they love their students! Everyone is very accommodating for any of concerns you have. I know they have had some strong dancers get into big acts, don't really know enough about dance to say more about that. Rates are quite reasonable to.

Seriously though that class is a full body workout and super fun! I recommend it to EVERYONE! Parking - street or structure parking. Someone wrote a review about parking and thank you for that cause if not we wouldn't been lost. Since the class is from 7-8:15pm we ended up paying $2.50, cash only! So don't forget to bring $$$!! You're in Chinatown after all!! To get into the studio, YOU HAVE TO CALL! My friend and I was so confused we almost walked around the building 2x but then she found their IG and called. They lock the doors cause y'all know how it be out in the streets, late at night there. So make sure you call to let them know you're downstairs then they'll let you in. They also have a special key card for that floor so literally only people going to that floor have access. They also have a pole dancing class too so maybe that's why... anywhoooo, When we called the guy was super nice! He let us up the elevator and told us we were doing the right thing and called. Let us up, took our temp, filled out some paperwork. We washed our hands and we made our way to the floor. The instructor came and then class started. The instructor started off by introductions, which was nice!!!!! Since it was my first time I was a bit shy BUT my friend and I take a heels class that's a bit more intimate so that kinda broke me out of my dance shyness. This twerk class is more like, we in the club, socially distanced AND since it's all females, this was even better!!!! Everyone was literally shaking their asses, not giving a rats about anything. No judgments about nothing AND hyping each other up. Also, if you needed help, the instructor came and showed you how to do it. I think my fave part was the warm up cause you really get to stretch and feel the music! I honestly loved this class so much and honey for the price, $13 is such a gooooooood price, you bet I'll be there next week baby!!!! ;) Also, might I just add the instructors booty is goals and it's so intimidating!!!!! You can just imagine yours doing the same thing, even if it's not LOL!! Also, you think you're not doing the moves but because you don't have the same butt shape and thickness, it doesn't feel it. However, it definitely is. I love that you learn twerk moves, but at the same time in the end they actually choreograph a dance for you to a twerk song!! I just love it so much, it's just so fun!!!!!

Janice Lee is the certified instructor at this location and is super energetic and supportive! The classes are held in the gym of Maemae Elementary School. Best access to the gym is go enter into the back parking lot. There is a lot of space with a stage and of course fans to help circulation. The class members trend towards the older side, but don't get me wrong, the class can make you break a sweat! Some of those kiddos were more fit than I was! The exercise itself was a nice combination of cardio, strengthening and stretching in an hour. At the end of the cardio section I was getting tired and looking at the clock just to see how much longer we had (which was at around the halfway mark). My impression is that the music and routine will vary from class to class which is a plus for me since I easily get bored with repetition. Overall, great work out, can self adjust and get your body grooving!

I was able to watch the last few minutes of class to see what the kids learned during their session and I was taken aback at how the instructors managed the little kids, especially the younger ones like my son who is 4! They were so patient with him and you can tell they're there because they love doing what they do-teaching the next generation of kids! Unfortunately, another lockdown happened so they were not able to go to another class. I was completely impressed with the protocols that they had in place when they opened up. They had staff outside collecting papers as parents drove up to drop off their child, someone was taking the kids' temperatures in the meantime and as you walk up, you have to clean/sanitize your footwear and hands. The studio was hip, clean and inviting. So happy we found this spot in the most convenient area in Kaimuki with ample parking! Can't wait for them to open back up again soon!

I paid the drop-in fee of $10, but was given back $5 and was told i'd be staying only 20 minutes, but did not really understand why. The owner was ok but not very welcoming. The instructors appear to be in their 20s. They are nice and energetic. This dance establishment is definitely geared more towards younger people. Overall I didn't feel comfortable going there.

How the class process goes is that you first message Kim through her Instagram pages to reserve a spot of the class you want, once Kim approves then you can send payment. When class day comes, you come in and stretch on your own then she will begin class and start breaking down the choreography step by step. DONT FORGET TO BRING YOUR WATER AND KNEE PADS (for heels class)! Also a sweat towel because it can get hot too haha.
