She was helpful. Food was good specially the skewers paired with rice and soup. Sushi served fresh when you order. If you want something quick and fast this is the place to be. Before arriving, I had already resigned myself to the fact that I might have to stay in the hotel for dinner, a prospect I do not usually prefer. I was delighted to find out that there were three or four options outside to which I could walk. This one was the most appealing and was just a 12 - 15 minute walk down the street. It was a beautiful, cool summer evening which made this choice even more desirable. The storefront in this quaint little crossroads was on the vintage side but the signage was obvious making it easy to find despite the unlikely facade. The dining room was well kept and more spacious than one would think judging from the outside. There was an outdoor seating option on a side patio area as well that was not apparent from the front view. it was not crowded when I walked in as I was slightly on the early side for dinner. It got a bit busier while I was there. I was given a choice in where I wanted to sit and was attended to by my server in a reasonable amount of time. I had no complaints about the service as she was attentive in just the right proportion and the food was delivered with little delay. There were several combos on the menu. I chose a set that offered a 6-piece avocado roll, three pieces of sushi, three pieces of sashimi, six pieces of gyoza (which they called Japanese ravioli), rice, miso soup and a small salad. It was a little heavy and I could have easily split that much food with my wife had she been with me but I had not had lunch that day and was able to handle it by myself. The quality was very good and the price was quite fair at a little over 17 euros. I had a large bottle of Pellegrino and a coffee to finish. With all of that, my final bill was just over 24 euros. At the time, this was approximately $30 USD, which was a reasonably good deal. Overall, I was fairly happy with my meal at this place and would try it again given the opportunity.

The place is small, but had several tables and it seemed to be a bright and cheerful place. We sat at a table next to our friends and given menus. We ordered beers and Sake. The menu was full of Sushi and other Japanese food items, but as soon as I saw Robata on the menu, I was sold! I ordered Edamame, Gyoza, several pieces of Sushi and some rolls; as well as some Robata. You rarely see Robata on a menu, and when I do, I always order a few skewers of delicious grilled food. Our server brought our drinks and Edamame, we all cheered each other and ate the hot and tasty beans. A few minutes later, our main courses showed up, and it was plentiful. All the food was fresh and delicious, I was very pleased with this quality of Sushi, especially at the decent prices! Now, the Robata was excellent as well perfectly grilled and served hot, as well as large portions. Overall, a great experience, I tend to shy away from Sushi in Europe, but this place is excellent!

The food is mostly various Japanese Udon soup, but it is done so well we were blown away. We have had a lot of Japanese food in the US and countless trips to Japan and this is some of the best we have had outside of Japan. The owner is from Kochi, Japan and the food is authentic. We took the shrimp/vegetable tempura, katsu curry udon as well as the kunitora. All came out together and piping hot. The katsu curry udon was outstanding and definitely a do not miss dish. The katsu was so crispy and cooked to perfection. The dish itself was very interesting because there was a healthy portion of curry poured over the soup that the meat sits on top, then as you eat, the curry and soup mix more, and you get a rich delicious broth at the end with all the udon. The tempura was done well. We also had matcha ice cream which is texturized with various cereals on top and bottom of the ice cream as well as a tasty crispy wafer. The service is quick and effective, they speak English well and were so nice. The place is busy so be prepared to wait 10-20 minutes for a spot - it is well worth it. The atmosphere is a really nice open bistro with modern design and classic rock and pop 80s-90s music. It is mostly community style seating, which some may not love, including myself, but in this setting I couldn't care less.
