I've enjoyed bone-in chicken thighs ( I use these for the NYT recipe "Garlicky Chicken Thighs with Scallions and Lime." I've also gotten tasty beef for a heart stewy stew, fantastically flavored sausage, and bacon beyond belief. All were amazing, highly recommend!! On the service: You ask, they'll tell you what to get, and their expertise plays out in your incredible home cooked meals. Ambiance is super charming, friendly, down-to-earth goodness! I'm always looking for meat sticks which I couldn't find and the guy carving a spine on the table asks can I find you something so I say meat sticks and he says like regular or hot and I say hot. He goes in the back and packages me up some on the spot. I asked the guy as someone traveling through what's a must have take with me and he says the summer sausage so I grabbed one also. The place looked clean with a country charm. The hot meat sticks were very lean and almost a jerky like texture with some nice heat and tasty. The summer sausage was also really good and I'm glad I got some. I also grabbed some real dog bones for my friends dogs and they loved them. If your in the area I recommend stopping by.

It's less like an "as seen on TikTok" place and more of a place to get your ingredients for Asian home cooking. I appreciate that. It's so hard for me to find a decent variety of Filipino items and viet hoa had so many from bagaoong to hopia. Thank you for your kind service. I will be coming here more than global market for my Asian/ Filipino goods at a good price.

I use a lot of different ingredients foe my cooking. Everything from pigs blood to Durian. And now they finally have my favorite instant coffee.. the white durian coffee.... People are always friendly. Even that weird girl at the register. I truly enjoy my experience there.

But in our viewing, we noticed the great happy hour and decided Liberty Station would be out early evening cocktail and appetizer spot...it was the right move! The space is good sized with several areas for seating from the bar to dining room to the patio. It is industrial smokehouse for sure, which is exactly what you want from a bbq joint. We bellied up to the bar, where the bartender was prompt, friendly and helpful. Being our first time, we asked for recommendations and without missing a beat, the brisket loaded fries with a round of old fashioned's...so that is what we went with! The drinks are well, or rail as commonly referred to around this area, and only ran us $5 - $6. They were tasty, but we could definitely tell it was a happy hour special cocktail. The fries were plentiful, definitely enough to share between us two. The brisket was tasty and the fries were crisp. And combined, the old fashioned and brisket fries was a solid duo! Overall, Liberty Station was a solid spot for some tasty food and decent drinks!

Drinks are ok, thank goodness for happy hour prices, at the bar only. The iceberg salad was very good, bacon would be great. We came later in the day on my Sunday visit, so a few things were already sold out, but I was able to order the most delicious selection of vegetarian sides and it was so filling. The sauce that came in a little dish was extraordinarily delicious. I would have ordered a whole jar to go if that was possible. The restaurant is spacious, well-lit, clean, and the artwork is beautiful. Great date spot. I loved the vibe and everyone was in a great mood. The two women who were working that day were super kind and answered all of our questions. They made us feel very welcome and it was a beautiful experience. I can't wait to return, every week. As you enter, there is a decent sized bar off to your right with a few high top tables. To your left is the dining room, which is cozy and intimate. Someone at a table near us was having what looked like a margarita, and that made me want a margarita. So, instead of getting a bottle of wine, we both got a margarita. It was not what the other person was drinking, but oh my was this one of the best margaritas I've had in recent memory! It was SO good. It had a lot of ice in it, so next time I might ask for it straight up just so I can savor it and not let the ice water it down. We also had delicious bread brought to the table with a plate of olive oil and balsamic. The bread was cut into nice little pieces, was warm, and had a delightful texture where the outside was slightly crisped but not enough to impede your bite and the inside was just warm and soft. The have a nice, varied menu and it was hard to decide what to get. I was really craving marinara sauce, so I ended up going with the Cappellaci Di Salsiccia which was a meat and cheese enclosed pasta with marinara. And it was delicious. It also came out very beautifully plated. My dining mate ordered the Penne Pollo e Pesto and loved it. I'm not wild about pesto, but had to sample a bit and the way the pesto clung to the penne was really tasty. They also have a ragu lasagna and chicken piccata on their menu that I can't wait to try. As we were leaving, I saw a sign with two of their featured fall cocktails and both sounded incredible. I will have to be back for all of these things!!
