I wouldn't recommend Dr. Woldemichael to my worst enemy. I have been dealing with serious medical…read moreissues since that fateful night, 4 years ago when I had kidney stones. He placed a uretal stent, but neglected to inform me it needed to be removed within a couple months, AT MOST. He didn't even explain the purpose or necessity for the stent. So, I resume my life, believing I will have it for the rest of my life. Fast forward 2 YEARS, I never received ANY attempts from Dr. Woldemichael's office to contact me at all. You know, like" Dear Ms. Blah Blah, it is URGENT you contact my office regarding the uretal stent needing to be removed. Serious complications may arise if it is not removed" etc. Not a word. So after about 18 months, I begin having some issues with painful urinating, pain and blood when being intimate with my partner, and worse...At 40, I can no longer control my own bladder. Yep, Depends at 40. MORTIFYING!! Then, I can't completely void my bladder. Yep folks, 8-10 drops every 20-30 mins. ZERO RELIEF. Of course, I think UTI and purchase antibiotics. No help, so off to the E.R. I go. Where I spend the first week waiting for Dr. W. to be on call, and another "Urologist" (Who literally told me, I'm not gonna even look at your case, I'm going to refund any money paid to my office and DELETE YOUR VISIT, but that's for another review) Finally, after a week, Dr. W. graces me with his presence. For the next week I'm in the hospital, he performs a procedure and removes a 3 CM stone from my bladder, performs some shockwave treatment to break up ANOTHER 3 CM stone that was stuck in my kidney. Still didn't remove the stent, said it's stuck in my kidney, however my kidney has been damaged by the shockwave and him practicing laser tag with the stone. Discharged from the hospital, appt made for one more shockwave treatment. I went to outpatient surgery for this one, and DAMN, that one hurt bad. I was ushered out as soon as I was coherent enough to dress so quickly by the nurse, that I'm sitting in passenger seat and notice, I still have an IV in my hand and have to tell to the nurse to remove it right outside the hospital doors. No prescription, no doctor W letting me know the outcome. I had to call his office 3 hours later for pain relief, which his snotty receptionist tells me "Well Ma'am, if you hadn't left the hospital before being discharged, you would have your prescription." Yes, you idiot, I just grabbed my clothes and ran for my life, right? Yep, and she was the office manager. Had no clue A NEW STENT WAS PLACED THAT DAY. I had resolved to wash my hands with this incompetent office personnel, and a Dr who seemed too busy or too arrogant to properly inform this patient. I give him and his office negative 10 stars if I could. And this is just part one. Stay tuned for part two, 2 years later in next review

They tried to do a strep test on me BEFORE the doctor even taking a look at me (which refuse the strep test they don't work, cost you an extra 180$ too). They did that the last time I came to this clinic, they just give you a strep test to get more money out of you. It was very clear that I had some type of throat infection that I get a couple times a year so I always just get a certain prescription that works and it goes away within a few days. Which I had told the doctor about but she told me I just had bad allergies and prescribed me allergy medication? And then told me all she could really do is suggest over the counter allergy medication... I know what allergies are for myself and I kept telling her this was not just allergies. Such a waste of money and time I do not trust the doctors there

This review is also tardy in me writing it. Last summer, my husband became quite ill while working out of state. Long term disability became involved. It was a goat rope trying to get anything done. Claudia stayed after bouts, called the manager of the long term disability insurance claims department and turned the denial into an approved claim. This act of going beyond the call of duty allowed us to receive money while husband was out of work and in the hospital in another state. Kudos Claudia

I am a winter visitor to Imperial County, I live on BLM land near the Colorado River from December…read morethru February every year, escaping the seasonal depression of 50+ years in Oregon. I am low income and over 55. This year I became sick with a urinary tract infection and could not find accessible treatment in the nearby Yuma, AZ area. My Oregon Health Plan insurance is no good out-of-state unless it is an ER visit. No way is an UTI an actual emergency ....until it is untreated and turns into kidney failure! My partner had the truly bright idea to call Planned Parenthood, as this was was "female trouble". There are no PP services in the Yuma area, but when we called El Centro, our whole day changed. The people we talked to were caring, kind and concerned. We drove an hour there and were impressed on all levels. It is very sad that PP needs armed security, but there it is. All precautiions are observed. Inside, you are greeted and welcomed. All the staff were young bilingual Latinas, and even this old gringa with rusty Spanish felt very welcomed on all levels. The place is well laid-out with privacy seating and quiet atmosphere. The security guard is present but unobtrusive. Trans people are honored and supported at this facility, based on posters and the wording of intake materials. My entire health was taken into account, not just the UTI. So very impressed by the holistic person-centered approach of this place, i was almost in grateful tears. I was sent away with medications and explanations and a welcome to come back for any problems. My bill was very reasonable, and i was offered a payment plan, which i did not need, but was happy to know existed. I was respectfully ushered out by the security fellow. I am feeling much better now. Planned Parenthood is so much more than controversial headlines. They are an island of reasonable, rational human caring in a world of rules and regulations. Women on the road - PP is there for you.

I am a medical assistant myself and I never thought I'd walk in and be treated poorly but I was not expecting to be treated with such love and kindness and acceptance. The front office MA, Crystal, was so nice, soft spoken to protect my privacy, and made things very clear and easy to understand. My back office MA, Felicia, was an absolute angel. Amanda, I think she was also an MA or a nurse, and she was so kind and reassuring. Ashley, was gentle giving me my IV and held my hand throughout my procedure. They helped me get dressed afterwards. Walked me to recovery. Everyone was so... gentle. And just sweet. They made the room not feel so heavy and I felt nothing but supported. There was another MA there with me, too, and I cannot for the life of me remember her name because it was so unique and I had asked right before she gave me my meds.. either way, she's on my heart, too. My Nurse Practitioner, Michelle, was also very kind. She had a gentle touch, made me feel so safe in her hands, and was sure to answer any of my questions. She let me advocate for myself on the meds they administer because I am allergic to quite a few. She listened to me. With my whole heart, I am so thankful for the staff here and how they treated me. I even noticed how kind they were to other patients.. as an MA who strives to treat every person I come into contact with as someone I would want my loved ones to be treated, it was so amazing to be treated like I was seen and valued. I was treated with more kindness and respect during this office visit than when I went into the ER for a miscarriage 7 years ago. I'd go back to them a 100x.
