Muy importante! :) The past few years I have ventured out to the public social events held by The Language House. It is so nice to meet and mingle with other adult learners. Weekly class is very important and conversing with others is equally important. That's what the social events are all about. I have also made a few close friends in class - we meet regularly for coffee or lunch and practice our español. Muchas gracias to Virginia, all the instructors and The Language House for all that you do for us and the community.

My Spanish skills have become more well versed and I'm able to use what I've learned in class to speak to my wife in Spanish. There are also multiple locations to take class so it's great for anyone who does or doesn't have a busy schedule! There's also a lot of additional resources we receive out of class that are helpful, such as: WhatsApp Spanish group, homework lessons, Quizlet (app) trainings; etc. Thank you so much, Virginia!

As a parent of three children at Austin International School -- in Pre-K, Kindergarten, and 2nd…read moregrade -- I can wholeheartedly say this school has exceeded every expectation. All three of my kids enrolled without any knowledge of a foreign language, which was initially a little nerve-wracking. My second grader was placed in a dedicated French as a Second Language support class, and it made a world of difference. Within a year, he had genuinely acquired the language in a way I didn't think was possible so quickly. My two younger ones jumped straight into the regular classroom, and they too have picked up an impressive amount of French in just one year. One of the most memorable surprises was hearing my kids come home and naturally speak French -- something I never expected to happen so soon. But perhaps the most touching milestone? They now ask me to speak French with them during part of our day at home and correct me when I make a mistake. The language has become something they take pride in and genuinely enjoy -- it's no longer just school, it's part of who they are. Academically, my kids are thriving too -- my second grader's MAP scores showed a remarkable jump from where he started before joining the school. What sets this school apart, though, goes beyond academics. The teachers clearly love what they do and love the kids they teach. Their enthusiasm and dedication are visible every single day -- they are engaged, motivated, and create an environment where children genuinely want to learn. The broader school community has been nothing short of wonderful. Warm, welcoming, and supportive in every way. The Head of School deserves special recognition for the outstanding leadership and tone set at the top -- the culture of this school reflects that every single day. If you're looking for a school where your child will grow academically, linguistically, and as a person -- Austin International School is truly special and we couldn't recommend it more.

Yesterday I called and had an unpleasant conversation with your receptionist who told me that she had no the dates of the exam and can not even tell me when students had DELF earlier this year. I had no idea at the time how challenging and different the process is from other class room activities. I have taught technical classes in networking and video technologies over the past several years and thought that experience would have adequately prepared me for teaching English AFL but discovered the process is completely different. The UT CELTA program provides the tools to teach where a common language is missing. This can be frustrating for both the student and the teacher and having a toolset to bridge the missing and most common form of communication, speech, addresses and prepares the instructor for the specific challenges of teaching a foreign language.

The tutors were so supportive and helpful and I benefited a lot from their great feedbacks. The best part of CELTA was learning to manage my time more efficiently and making lesson plans in a very organized way. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this privately owned and locally operated French School…read moreof Austin - École Jean-Jacques Rousseau! This school is truly a hidden gem in the Austin area. From the moment you step onto the campus, you feel the warmth, structure, and passion that the teachers and staff bring every single day. Furthermore, the wonderful owners of this school are incredibly engaged, very hands-on, and extremely committed to the academic excellence of each student. I am overwhelmed with gratitude for the academic contributions that EJJR continues to provide to my children, day in and day out. The curriculum is top-notch, blending rigorous academics with a nurturing environment that allows children to thrive. This French immersion program is absolutely incredible -- my child is picking up the language so naturally, and it amazes me to hear them switch between French and English with ease. On top of that, EJJR even offers the option to learn a third language -- Spanish, Arabic, or Mandarin -- which is such a rare and valuable opportunity for young children! What I love most is the personalized attention this school passionately demonstrates. The teachers truly know each child, their strengths, and where they can be encouraged to grow. The small class sizes make a huge difference, and the community feels like family. Parents are engaged, and you can tell that everyone -- staff and families alike -- takes pride in being part of this school. The extracurriculars are also fantastic! From chess club, to piano, violin and cello classes, to STEM learning workshops -- EJJR is constantly adding new and unique educational offerings. They continue to grow and evolve in alignment with the needs and requests of the students and parents attending the school. Altogether, there are just so many enriching activities to stimulate the young minds attending EJJR. It's incredible to see children challenged academically, while also being encouraged to explore their creativity and physical development. If you are considering a bilingual education in Austin, look no further. The French School of Austin offers an authentic, world-class education in a supportive environment that sets children up for long-term success. We feel incredibly fortunate to be part of this community! Feel welcome to check out EJJR's dedicated website to gain more insight into this incredible school. And -- what's most exciting -- they just opened up 15 new slots for student enrollment in various grade levels! I suggest setting up a consultation today to see firsthand how amazing this school is. We were absolutely enthralled after our very first consultation and applied immediately before slots filled up. That said, please don't hesitate to reach out to me directly with any questions or feedback. As a parent of two attending students at EJJR, I understand we only want the best education for our children -- and that's exactly what you will get at EJJR. https://www.frenchschoolofaustin.org
