In a quandary, I wondered how many bags of department store bags I'd need. Hmmmm.... As we all know our phones listen to everything we talk about.. ahem.... I began to find local places and one of them was Lakeside Sod on Goodrich rd.- then I remembered that I had seen them at the Home and Garden show in Hamburg, NY... Well, that was the best decision I've ever made. The soil is quality. They make it themselves. There is no "junk" in the soil. It's fine, rich, almost euphoric. I ended up getting 3 yards to fill my garden . Wait until you see my garden! The following year I discovered they sell mini bags for a super inexpensive price ( less than $20 ) it's about knee high and manageable to handle. This year, I also discovered resealable mini bags of mulch from them. O M G !! I just love this place. I happen to run into the owner a few weeks ago and he thanked me for my business- that never happens in today's world. How great is that?!?!!! The office staff that cashed me out are very friendly. Lastly, I'd like to mention the two gentlemen that loaded my car ( several times ) out back . They both were the most helpful, friendly, ( and strong! ) guys ever. They were very attentive when I drove back there, I did not have to wait around. You can tell that they were "people persons" and grateful for the little bit of my business. That made me smile. Went to Landpro in Clarence NY for a warranty issue on my 2 year old S170 tractor still under…read morewarranty ... Had trouble with carburetor RPM surging up and down ... Since it was under warranty I did not want to attempt to mess with carburetor or jets ... Was told it would take up to 4 weeks , backlogged , spoke to Joe telling me he would try to put a rush on it .... Get Email 3 days later telling me I need a new carburetor and cost would be $650.00 I freaked out writing I payed $3500.00 for the whole tractor , jets must be dirty , does not need a whole carburetor.. Spoke to service manager Ron and told him my issue , told me he would look into it ... 2 days later called me told me it's done ... Went there did not know what I was going to get into ? I know I would take the tractor back myself and fix it if I had to ... But was not paying a dime ? After going into Ron's office had a conversation , he told me that people come in all the time claiming warranty warranty but warranty covers only malfunctioning parts like cracked mower deck or faulty battery, alternator or solenoid , a piece of tractor that is defective ... After that conversation he said listen , we will take the hit on this 1but I then became aware and learned about warranty and what they encompass , Ron is an admiral man and gave me the time I needed and information I needed without any charge even though I did not purchase my John Deere from Landpro ... This says a lot for this business and in the future is just the right reason I would consider buying a new piece of equipment from them ...
