Items for sale were all reasonably priced and there were around 160 vendors. It took awhile to decide what I wanted/needed to buy. Finally bought 3 stained glass flowers ($5 ea) to put in my planters and a pretty necklace ($18). I wanted another necklace but it had no price and there was no answer from the artist after the cashier tried to get a hold of them which is a shame because they lost a sale). I was visiting from another state but I hope I get another chance to go back.

This is my fave stall in the non-food section of the West Side Bazaar. The clothes are so pretty! This is also the one I spent the most money at for my mother when she was here. I have no idea if she actually wears any of the stuff we bought here (which must have been every colour of the rainbow and more), but knowing her, she probably puts them on for work and for watching TV and "brewing up" (making a cuppa) alike. My favourite thing is that they sell those adorable little nodding cat-heads that all of the Asian places in the world seem to sell. So there is one familiar item (or set of items) among all of the colourful, exotic Burmese awesomeness. This stall seems to do slightly better than the others, but still, with the prices (which are lower than I expected) and the relative lack of business, I worry for all of these stalls. Please come in and check them all out and see what you think. If I were a hippie drunk girl from Manchester, I'd much rather shop here than at any well-known clothing store, even the local ones. That was a comment on my mother, by the way, not you. Hic.

It's a fun store to look around if you need home decorations or basic household necessities. They have living room, bathroom, dining room, bedroom items as well as baby products. It's slightly disorganized though; some of the items in the aisles aren't really consistent with the "theme" (e.g. art supplies with the bathroom-related items). It's a bit darker and messier than the Home Goods next door, but definitely worth swinging by!

The clean upscale discount store has offerings that will have you returning over and over again, especially on Tuesday when new stock arrives, hence the name Tuesday Morning. Have you ever experienced waiting in line somewhere while the associate chit chats with others, like you're not even there? You might have a question, but you're stuck, waiting, until they're good and ready to address you? And your inquiry is even brief, but you must wait? This is what it feels like taking a "class" at ArtYard - it's really more like you're renting the studio space for six weeks, which if you had acquired the necessary skills would be fine. I expected an attentive teacher walking around offering encouragement, tips and advice to students, and rooting them on, like the substitute that was there once, he was amazing! However, you must simply wait for a break in the conversation, say please, and not chew gum in class if you'd like help. Or to keep from idling, ask another student for help. One can be talented at what they do, but not have the heart of a teacher. (And yes, I understand that there is a certain amount of trial and error to creating art such as pottery: figuring things out, making your own mistakes, trying, trying again. I get that. I am a designer for a living.) Contacting the instructor - via phone, email or text - was unpredictable, you may or may not get a response. Sadly, I got to the point where I could take "the attitude" no longer: frustrated, upset, and humiliated, I walked out of the second class, and didn't return. And no one with the heart of a teacher would allow that to go unnoticed. But they did.

I started with NextDoor.com to find an upholsterer and time and time, people recommended Coty Upholstery in Tonawanda. Coty referred me to Fabric Warehouse in Lockport to find the perfect fabric. So, I drove out there and a very nice, helpful lady went through the fabrics, explained what was washable, explained the pattern matching. I was very happy with my choice, and now my second hand store find looks vibrant and classic. Hats off to both Fabric Warehouse and Coty Upholstery!

I ended up spending about 10 minutes browsing the amazing crafts, gifts, artwork, and more in this lovely establishment. The owner was even making some kind of commissioned piece at the counter when I went to pay which I thought was neat. For a gift shop on main street of EA, I expected the prices to be MUCH higher and was plesantly surprised by how reasonable they were. I ended up buying some homemade bath bombs for myself but plan to return soon to get some gifts for the holidays. This is the perfect place to stop to get gifts for everyone in your life! Walked in on a Saturday morning probably an hour after opening. They were already pretty busy and…read morehad a big children's party coming. Luckily there was space for myself and 2 gfs. Process is simple. You pick your already made ceramic piece off the shelf and someone sits down with you before you start painting. They explain all the dos and don'ts and show you samples of a good painting job and what happens when you don't later enough paint. Then you go and create your masterpiece! You're free to use whatever brushes you want and all the paint that you need. There also is no time limit of how long you sit and paint. I think my gfs and I took about 2.5 hours? All pieces are priced differently. They're very helpful if you have any questions so don't hesitate to ask! The only thing that my gfs and I didn't realize is that it takes about a week for the pieces to be "glazed". So if you're not from around the area it might be a pain to come back and get it. If you fail to pick up your pieces I believe after 3 months, they donate them. I came back at exactly the 7 day mark and they just finished glazing that morning. Thank god, because I would've been really disappointed if I had gone all that way for nothing. They also have a sign that says no need to call to ask if your piece is ready as it SHOULD be ready within a week.
