I NEEDED some colorful hanging plants in order to feel as though spring is actually here! (I was kind of blue.) We walked into North Park Florist a little after closing time. The lights were dim and we didn't realize that they had already closed. Two employees (I believe they were the managers/owners) came out from the back and told us that they closed a bit ago, but they would love to help us. My fiancée was looking at a few indoor plants and they were so helpful in explaining what plants would do well in a humid environment versus what wouldn't. When we finally picked out two plants, the gentleman told us our total and said that since the registers were already shut down for the day, he put our money into the Hurricane Relief Fund. Not only did they take the extra time after closing to help us, but they didn't even make a profit off of our visit... a selfless act to say the least. Ken is the best!! This florist has beautiful arrangements and 5 star customer service! It was easy to place my order on the website, and Ken communicated regarding when the items could be delivered. I have a family member in the hospital on her birthday- unrelated to covid, but because of the covid situation, she is not allowed any visitors and is alone. Ken went above and beyond and ensured the item would be delivered as soon as possible. It will always be remembered and appreciated more than he could know. The staff is great, the selection of flowers is plentiful and with Valentine's Day fast approaching -- they also sell fruit baskets, heart lockets and other little items which could be made into a nice present for a SO. I purchased a bouquet of lilies here last Saturday and it couldn't have been easier. The nice lady in the store helped me pick out which flowers to pick after I told them how much $ I wanted to spend and wrapped them in a nice little bouquet in under 10 minutes. The staff were very helpful and packaged up the vase of flowers beautifully. They have a lot of potted plants, lots so loose flowers in the cooler and also pre-arranged pieces. I didn't know what I was looking for, just a nice git, and the owner brought out an arrangement and it was perfect and the vase was nice. This shop is always friendly and sensitive, like a small town in the best ways. The remarkable thing is the talent of the owner Julie. She is one of those people who can take a pipecleaner , a fall leaf and a piece of gum to turn out a drop dead gorgeous centerpiece. If you show her your dining room she can design a piece to knock you out. She once make an arrangement for my daughter (young kid with little money) from ONE flower and a dried piece of bark. Frauds. Don't go by the photos online. This business will send you whatever they want. I spent over $100 on one arrangement and got a smaller, different arrangement in a smaller vase. When I called to complain, they seemed adamant that this was a good way to do business. Offered me $20 back on the delivery - REFUSED to offer me money back because the arrangement was wrong. I have been using North Park Floirst for the past few years. It all began last year when I ordered some flowers online and they were the worst I've ever seen. I took a chance and called this florist directly on a Sunday and someone answer the phone. They couldn't deliver them but they told me that if I can get my mother to pick them up they would make them available to her on the same day. They didn't have any flowers left but they said they would do the best they could to create a great arrangement and boy they didn't miss a beat my mother said that the flowers were the best thing she's ever seen in over the four years that I have been getting flowers for her. Not only had they corrected the problem for a lower price, the flowers were three times better. Every since then, I've been using North Park Florist , and I recommend them to everyone even if you're calling from out of state or in the city limits of Buffalo. They are the best! read more
