I went in for 3 piercings today. I requested the first available piercer and Jamie was who I was…read morebooked with. She did an excellent job! I was nervous but we made easy conversation and she helped me feel so relaxed. I got my second earlobe piercing in each ear and my right helix done. I picked my jewelry at the counter and the receptionist offered some excellent advice in choosing my piercing jewelry as I had a hard time deciding between the many options. The shop is very clean and has a chill vibe. I will be back to get my tragus done, and hopefully a tattoo sometime! Thank you so much, Jamie and EBTN!

I came in to get a year-old helix piercing changed from a flat-backed stud to a hoop and was told…read moreit could be done. The studio where I got it done originally put the stud on very tight. Something was clearly wrong. Instead of stopping, I went through an incredibly painful removal and jewelry change process at Evil By The Needle. I was told constantly by employee they were "sorry this is so uncomfortable," as I was biting back curses and experienced pain much worse than the original piercing. I bled a considerable amount and experienced a lot of discharge that I haven't in months. It is clear now that it has not healed (and was under stress), but that was not the impression given as the employee lightheartedly told me that I could "get away" with a hoop being put on. Original jewelry was given to me uncleaned with blood on it in a bag. I hope I am wrong but I do not trust that this type of piercing will be done properly here in general. In trying to fix it, another studio let me know the way the piercing exited my ear made it so jewelry put too much pressure on it. Serious irritation resulted. I do not blame Evil By The Needle for the mistake of the previous studio, but they should not have moved forward putting in their jewelry, which was also far too large for my ear and the seam where the hoop closed did not meet. It was jagged enough to tear up my ear further. Helix piercings can easily have complications, but my situation was not helped by my experience here. Though it is not infected, I wish I had been told the seriousness of the situation and given advice on how to proceed. I needed to start over and let the area heal. Instead, a needlessly painful situation was furthered... and they let me shop at their studio for new jewelry to put in. I seriously urge anyone getting riskier piercings to look somewhere else for expertise and guidance on their proper handling. If you have concerns get a second opinion! Mistakes like this can be serious!

I've gotten 4 piercings here with 3 different piercing artists and have had positive experiences…read moreeach time. I have never waited more than a few minutes, even when they are very busy and I did not have an appointment. I love that they all are able to do piercings- even the tattoo artists. They are all very knowledgeable and the shop is clean. You are able to purchase jewelry for your piercing other than the standard ugly silver captive beaded jewelry.

Absolutely horrible. If I could rate a zero or negative stars I would. Was just there after…read morespeaking with them over a span of 2 days about coming in for a tattoo. I asked about making an appointment and was told I couldn't without a deposit. I live 45 minutes away so going there to put down a deposit was not an option. I was not given an option of electronically putting one down or I definitely would have went that route and had an appointment set up. I was just told to walk in the day i wanted to come and they would get it done. I was told this multiple times. So we went in and was told they were super busy but could get the tattoo started in about an hour to hour and a half. No problem. So we filled out the paperwork, discussed in detail what was wanted, was given a quote, and put down a deposit. We were told they would figure out what artist would be doing it before we came back. Then when we came back the owner we had been talking to didn't seem to be there. None of the artist knew anything about the tattoo, the design, or us. One eventually takes over it. He then proceeds to spend 45 min to an hour telling us the design won't work for one reason or another. Every time he did we altered the design to suit him only for him to find another reason it wouldn't work. He finally goes to put something together. He gets it done and the picture looks great and exactly what was wanted. Go to put it on and he can't get the right placement so he cut it to make it easier. That then made it to where he couldn't get it straight. So we scrapped the original and went with half of it. He does the tattoo (after he already made her skin raw from all the placing and then cleaning the outline off), immediately wraps it up without letting us see it, and we pay/leave. When we get home we took the wrap off to put some ointment on it (something the artist failed to do) and look at it. He didn't put 2 of the 4 emblems in the right spot. He was told this multi times during the stenciling and he refused to change it. Then the other remaining 2 emblems are very noticeably off center. You can definitely tell that it was a rushed job by someone who didn't want to do it. I have 9 tattoos from 4 different artists and have never had anything even remotely close to this deplorable. He also made sure that we were very well aware of how much of an inconvenience we were to him. He literally told my friend that the tattoo was stupid (the design she wanted had a lot of personal meaning to her as did the placement of the emblems. He also said that he spent way too much time on her and that we were wasting his time over and over again during the entire process. Along with a comment of not making $1000 because of us. I will never go there for anything. I can't speak for my friend but considering the fact that she is extremely heartbroken over their miserable excuse of professionalism and the artist turning something of great importance into a walking advertisement of trash I doubt she will ever go back. I have also spoke about this in length with multiple acquaintances who all have told me that they would be so angry had this happened to them so they won't even try to go there. His complete lack of regard for his customers just created an extremely negative advertisement for both him and the shop.
