I knew I wanted to get her pierced at a professional place, with a needle, and not at the mall with a 16 year old and a gun. I called ahead and spoke to Travis, who was very nice on the phone. He told me that he pierced his own daughters' ears when they were around the same age as my daughter and that made me feel very comfortable. We arrived and Travis was even sweeter in person, he was very gentle with my daughter and told her what he was doing as he was doing it, (cleaning her ears, etc.) I was very satisfied with the whole process, and will definitely recommend them to anyone else looking to have a piercing done.

We stopped by a couple others in town that were not clean or desirable in any way. We got to Empire and right away could tell this shop was clean and had a very inviting and comfortable atmosphere. We met with Nora and let her know what we wanted. It was a Saturday afternoon and didn't really expect that we could get it done that day, but my daughter was flying home the next day. We told Nora what we wanted and she said no problem and asked if we could come back that evening and she would make it happen. I will definitely be back. She did a great job, she was friendly and took pride in her work.

I came in today 8/15 for a tongue piercing. Owners daughter originally came to me and looked at my…read moreanatomy and was very sweet and soft spoken. She escorted my friend and I into a piercing room and said she would be right back she was finishing up another client in another room. No problem! We're sitting and waiting and the owner comes in (didn't know it was the owner at first) she came into the room and was very fast paced and was very straight forward. She explained the aftercare. I had told her I was nervous and I'm an anxious person. She told me very passive aggressively that she's the owner of 2 shops and she's been doing this a really long time and that she does tongue piercings almost up to 5-10 a day. She was very more of hey I'm experienced you have nothing to worry about. She had continued to explain what she was going to do but really did not ease my anxiety she was all over the place. When she had placed the clamp on my tongue and was about to go through with the piercing. She did ask me to take in a deep breath or anything was just going to do it. At that time, I had initially was trying to grab my friends hand on the side and when I accidentally touched her she freaked out and said that I'm absolutely not going to touch her as I just compromised her safety. It was a complete accident. She proceeded to ask me if I wanted the piercing or not and that she had another client waiting in the other room. As she had no time to be empathetic and reassure me that it's okay and it's super fast and be gentle. It was giving no customer service just wanting to make money and be done. I don't care if you have a lobby full of people you should treat people the way you would want to be treated. I truly believe her daughter was so sweet and caring and soft spoken. The owner really didn't give me a good vibe and I get some people have off days but for the first time being in that shop for a piercing I disagree with the way she handled it. A lot of my friends and family go to this shop for tattoos and have always had a great experience. Also if you back out of a piercing it's a $20 sitting fee. Perfectly fine but should stated on the website!

Working with my artist, Ryder, I was able to have a detailed vision of what I wanted done. He was great about not only listening to what I wanted to do, but he was candid enough to let me know when something I might want wouldn't be the best idea based on how tattoos work in terms of size and scope. I have 3 pretty elaborate and fairly custom tattoos that he has done for me. I have gotten multiple compliments on them, and I won't go to another shop to have anything inked on my body. Everybody that is very cool with a laid back vibe. You don't get that dingy biker dive feel about the place. Great artists that do great work and listen to their clients.

I am SO HAPPY that I went to Tara at Gott Inked in Evansville for my tattoo cover up/fix up/add on…read more I had a previous tattoo done in Michigan that was not done well at ALL. Tara took that tattoo and made it into something beautiful. She hand drew the design and it looks flawless. Tara clearly knows her stuff and is the best artist I've ever been to. Her tattoo shop is spotless and her equipment is high end. I have never gotten a tattoo and felt so little pain! It was the best experience I've had in my 15+ years of getting various tattoos at various places. The tattoo turned out absolutely perfect and I will continue to go back to Gott Inked for any future tattoos or piercings. I 100% recommend Tara and her business. I'm so glad I found a tattoo artist in my area that I can trust and who truly knows her stuff! Thank you so much! (Once the tattoo is healed I will post before & after photos!)

Entering the appointment-only shop, you're greeted by your artist at the door. There's eclectic artwork starting right as you enter and continuing throughout the shop. Some are display, some are novelty, some are for sale. But all of it intriguing and engaging. I could hang out just exploring the shop. The fact that it's appointment-only and that you must be escorted in creates and environment free from outside distractions, allowing for a truly focused experience between patron and artist. Scotty Tedrow seems like a fantastic human being. He engaged me I conversation when I was talkative and let me kinda simmer in earbuds when I needed silence or online distraction. The tattooing is abso-effing-lutely mind blowing. Scotty is basically a wizard with black and grays. His blackwork portfolio could be a textbook/training manual in the style. Jarred Scott tattooed a memorial piece of my late pup a few years ago. The things this man can do with color borders on the absurd. Ignoring his fantastic attention to detail, I've never seen a fully healed tattoo that he's created where the color is not still as vibrant, saturated, and stunning as the day it was made. The Fox and Crow is a non-judgemental, open, and dare I say safe space. Patrons can feel safe to be themselves with any of the artists or piercers, knowing that they will be welcomed and accepted. I've been to tattoo shops where the air feels tense. Where there's big personalities clashing across the tables. The Fox and Crow is the opposite of that. The team of artists and apprentices there seem to be a tight-knot, cohesive unit. I get a really really strong sense of found family and it just adds the to the overall experience. In short, book any of them now and you won't be disappointed.
