While she's very friendly and nice, I was not happy with the quality of the facial. I purchased a Groupon for 2 x 60-minute basic facials with hand massages in an attempt to find a new Esthetician for regular facials after I moved to a new area, but ended up only using one. The main reason for giving only 3 starts is that I was charged an additional fee for extractions (no place ever charged me extra for a few more extractions during a regular facial and I've been to many). I get that the pricing for the Groupon was super-low to begin with, but it just rubbed me the wrong way. After the appointment, my entire face was swollen up for 2-3 days and looked horrific. She applied a lot of pressure and force during extractions and based on feedback I've gotten from other Estheticians, my skin was not prepped correctly. I enjoyed the hand massage, but the facial itself seemed incomplete. When trying to schedule the second appointment (I was going to send my husband since I wasn't going to return), she did not have any availability on weekends & weeknights and after various attempts, the Groupon expired. She was not willing to honor it after it expired, as apparently she wouldn't get paid. I purchased a Groupon deal and made an appointment for 3:50 pm on Saturday. I got there 15 minutes before the appointment and waited for her to arrive standing in front of her door. A few minutes passed 3:50 pm, I decided to call her but she never picked up her phone. I called her several times and left several messages. Since she did not show up and I could not get a hold of her, I decided to leave the place after 4 pm. Then she finally called me and told me that she's almost there so I went back to the place and waited for her. However she did not show up immediately as she said and I waited another 30 minutes and called her several times but she did not answer. By then I was already waiting for almost 1 hour and decided to leave. She finally called me after 4:30 pm and told me she's almost there but it was too late. Facial is supposed to be a nice relaxing experience but this was one of the most stressful experiences I had in a while and I was so upset that totally ruined the rest of the day. I don't know if this is because I was a Groupon customer and maybe you get what you paid for but if you're not treating Groupon customers in the same way as regular customers, why even bother to use Groupon to get new customers in the first place? I would never go back to place like this no matter how great her facial might be. I bought a groupon package for $49 oxygen facial but had expired. I went in today to do the 60 minute microderm facial for $74 and it was excellent. She is very calming and relaxing. I enjoyed it. She has a great deal for $140 for 4 microderm facial + $20 for add ons. I think thats a great deal. If I had known that I would enjoy my 60 minutes, I would have purchased it because it would have been a better deal. She uses organic ingredients and did a lot in my 60 minutes. Bought a groupon for two 60 minute facials. She was great when I made my first appointment, she even fit me in the same day I texted her. She was about 15 minutes late to my appointment but the facial was great and let me know exactly what my skin needed so I didn't think much of it. I texted her about a month later to use my second facial for my groupon. I let her know I was using my second facial when I contacted her too. The day of, I was running about 10 minutes late but called to let her know. I got there exactly 10 minutes after my scheduled time just as I had told her. I walk in to her room and apologize for running late and she responds with "No reason to be sorry, it's not my time you're wasting, it's yours." Uhm excuse me? Okay just brush it off whatever. She then hands me a form that I'm guessing is only for new clients? But I assume she recognized me or at least saw that my text said "SECOND FACIAL" so I start filling it out. One of the questions asks for the date of your last facial so I pull out my phone to view the date. She immediately tells me to just sign the bottom because I was already late to my appointment. I explained what I was doing and when she realizes I had been there before and then starts scolding me for purchasing two groupons? I purchased ONE groupon for TWO facials. She finally understands and leaves the room for me to change. She comes back in to the room to start the facial and asks what kind of facial I wanted this time since I upgraded to a hydrating facial last time. I let her know I just want the basic and she responds with "you're results won't be the same just so you know." Yes thank you, I'm completely aware of what upgrades/downgrades are. By the time she actually started my facial it had to have been at least 7:25p and when she finished my facial I looked at the clock and it was only 7:55! Not even a full hour from my 7:00p appointment and definitely only 30 minutes from when she actually started! Long story short, you can't treat your clients this way especially since you tend to run late quite often based on your Yelp reviews. I'm only giving her two stars because my skin feels great. Amazing experience! Great facial done by such a lovely woman! Farzaneh (I hope I'm spelling her name right) really is a gem hidden in Northridge. She has a calming technique I've never experienced by any other esthetician and magical hands that I can already see after one treatment has helped my skin. Regarding some previous negative posts, she did offer me her packages but they're amazingly priced! And she wasn't forceful at all, she said to wait to see how my skin reacted before purchasing more of her facials. Do not patronize this establishment! Especially if you go through Groupon. I believe the owner intentionally makes it hard to book an appointment so that you will give up and she'll get to keep your Groupon $ without providing any services. Please read all her reviews! You will see that she is consistently unprofessional - especially if you come through Groupon. She obviously resents doing facials for such a low price. After weeks of trying to get an appointment and her not getting back to me, or me calling and her sending a text WHILE I'm leaving a message saying she'd call me right back and then not doing it, I finally managed to schedule an appointment. Only to have her cancel it and not even tell me - I only found out because I just happened to call the day before to check the time. She said that I didn't send the Groupon voucher in soon enough - which she didn't mention when I sent it in - which would be normal professional behavior. It was obvious she took a full price customer in my spot. And to top it off, she was terribly rude when I asked her why she hadn't bothered to be in touch with me about the appointment.
