I will first start with by saying this place was initially great, been coming here for 2+years, however this was all before I recently went this last and final time.
The straw that broke the camel's back was when I went to get a teeth cleaning in August 2020 and the receptionist told me that my previous cleaning (which happened in May) was somehow not covered by my insurance nor was my last one. The CSR told me the insurance denied my last cleaning as I had already exceeded my cleanings for the year, but why didn't they know this ahead of time, and why did they let it happen twice??
They were "nice" enough to give me a discount on that day's cleaning but I still had to pay for the last cleaning which was about $85-$90. I asked when they found out that the last cleaning was not covered, their answer of "oh just today" baffled me. I asked them to confirm that they JUST found out ...which was/is "3 months later?" I understand if you tell about insurance problems on the day of, a few days later, or worse case even a week later, BUT 3 MONTHS LATER? That is completely unacceptable and I let them know my frustrations.
They said I'd be getting a call from the head dentist, but here I am 6 months later and still no call. The receptionist blamed the mistake on "human error", I asked "who was the human that caused the error" because it Of course was not me! I'm not the person that follows up with the insurance, that's their job!
Also just as a fun side note, the place has a sign on the door: No mask No entry, as most places do nowadays, the worker who helped me that day I do not remember her name but she was of middle eastern descent, was the only worker NOT wearing a mask. Everyone in there did, clients included but somehow she must be immune to what's going on. She did tell me I didn't have to get any work done that day and in a couple of months I would just have to pay my yearly deductible and have my free cleanings for the year.
3 months later I'm scheduled to go back for another cleaning, still no call from the head dentist by the way. I call a day prior to my appointment to just ask a few questions. I spoke to the CSR (Norma) and gave her a brief rundown of my prior visit. To which she confirmed I still have to pay for an error that was not caused my me. She said it happens, that I can call the insurance and see for myself, (at this point she kept talking over me and I couldn't get a word in) so I just told her to cancel any and all future appointments to which she didn't feel like was a big deal.
I'm really disappointed because they gave great service and very reasonable priced but when YOU, the professional can't get the insurance part verified correctly, continue to have me in for appts knowing I was no longer under coverage, never return my calls...it leads me to think all they want is more money and don't have their patients best interest in mind. read more
