I booked Lily our Golden Doodle in for a groom, she had been going to Happy Snoutz for years…read more Leslie was not there when I dropped he off at 9, for a 12:30. appointment. They insisted I bring her early so she would be ready if they got ahead of schedule. I explained i was leaving on a trip at 3:00 so had to pick her up then. I figured no big deal she can play until she gets groomed. I called at 1:30 and they had not even started her and said they would then, I explained again I had a flight to catch so needed to pick her up by 3:00. I called again at 2:30 and they were bathing her and that was all they had time to do. Well that was an expensive bath she didn't need. When I picked her up she was totally tramatized. I questioned the lady and she indicated they had put her in a kennel. She hates kennels. I had explained early to Leslie that Lily doesn't do kennels and she always let her play with the other dogs. Well these girls decided since I didn't pay extra for day care she had to wait the entire day in a kennel to get a bath we didn't want, excuse me you were the one ones that REQUIRED she get there early for you convenience not mine. I don't think the dog would walk back in there again she was so upset. We will never go back to Happy Snoutz again!

TLDR: Our dog was attacked and they claim that he scratched himself. First photo is a pic from them…read moreand the rest are after the area was shaved for veterinary care. Judge for yourself if the injuries are scratches or bite marks and if a dog is physically able to scratch itself on the inside of its ear. They are very clearly puncture wounds to us and our vet. --------------------------------------- Dropped off our blind dog 11.24.2025 at roughly 3pm. The morning of 11.28.2025 we received a message that his ear had been bleeding and they believed it was from scratching so they provided him with the expected medical care. Afternoon of 11.29.2025 they told us he was "shaking". My wife was able to pick him up early and take him to the emergency vet (Saturday evening and regular vet closed) who shaved and treated the area and gave him antibiotics. We did follow-up with our regular vet and they determined that the injuries were puncture wounds from a dog attack. When we told them Fur Paws said the injuries were from him scratching himself they looked at us like we had just told them 1 + 1 = 3. In spite of the records we provided from the vet showing his treatment history and their diagnosis of "dog bite wounds and vestibular disease" Fur Paws claims he arrived there with some condition that led to him scratching himself (on the inside of his ear too!). He arrived 11.24, they noticed wounds 11.28, and by the afternoon of 11.29 he was shaking so he had a fever. It takes 24-72 hours for infection and then a fever to occur so one can do the math on their claim that he arrived with an ailment already. Then you add in that these are clearly not scratch marks and you see that they're questioning our intelligence with their explanation. Send your dog here at your own risk.

Upon picking him up, it was discovered that the hair in his head was indeed cut. After contacting Eddie to inform him of the matter, he then conveyed to me that José, the technician, stated that he "felt disrespected" and that services to our dog would be discontinued. Eddie went on to say that because of the dog's disposition- there are no other techs who desired to "put up with him" and "José was the only tech who would groom him." The irony is: If in fact the dog were so unmanageable, amazingly, Eddie would call my friend to see when would she be bringing him in. If the dog were that bad, his services should have been refused 2 years ago. The final analysis- Eddie told me that he would refund me the money from the last service and that due to the dog's disgruntled disposition- there was a TLC fee, which we have never seen, prior to that day. As a patron, it was NEVER about the money. It was about José failing to follow instructions and when the issue was addressed, the company assumed a stance of victimization, which resulted in poor customer service. Accountability goes a long way a business, and sadly, they chose not to be held accountable.

(normally, my dog would be in utter panic at a typical vet/dog groomer setting, she can hear the panic of the other dogs, smell the urine and clinical grossness, but not here!) her dogs were put up out of sight, and my usually tempermental dog immediately took a liking to her, and was completely at ease. I used a groupon deal, and i left my matted, dreadlocked dog for 1.5 hrs, came back upon being called and she had done the exact funky haircut i asked for, smooth, polished cut, nails trimmed, etc. The dog was not freaking out about getting to leave, she liked it there! haha, she had on a complimentary cute bandana and i was also given a promotional gift of (her) homebaked dog treats and dog toothbrush! zero complaints. i wish her the success she deserves with this biz!

I was told that once the doors of the mobile van close, I would not be able to see her again until the grooming session was finished. I found this disappointing, especially for a mobile grooming service. One of the main reasons many pet owners choose mobile grooming is to avoid dropping their pets off at a facility where they can't see or check on them. As the owner of a blind dog, being able to periodically ensure she's comfortable is particularly important to me. Unfortunately, this policy doesn't align with what I was looking for, so I decided to take my business elsewhere.

Unfortunately, three consecutive appointments with that groomer were canceled or changed by the company. Each time, the solution offered was simply to use a different groomer instead of rescheduling with the same one. I gave that a try once, and the quality of the groom was significantly worse. I completely understand that people get sick, have emergencies, or take time off. My disappointment is that the company repeatedly failed to provide the continuity they knew was essential for my dog, despite several conversations about it. If consistency with a particular groomer matters to you, this is something you should be aware of before booking.
