10/10 BEST AUTOMOTIVE REPAIR SHOP WE HAVE EVER HAD!!!!…read more My wife and I purchased a vehicle in January of this year, and her A/C started giving us issues with cooling down after about 2 months of driving it. Long story short we took it to CBA (recommended by my mobile mechanic) and found out it needed a completely new A/C kit. I had bought an extended warranty when I financed the vehicle but they only wanted to cover the cheapest parts possible. Would have been $800+ on top of our deductible to actually repair it with quality parts. We are in no position to use that kind of money, and Mackie called me back to tell me they would cover the extra cost if we just agreed to pay our original $100 deductible. My wife in tears, I'm left speechless, this is an unforgettable experience and we arent going to have to go into the AZ summer -$800 with a brand new A/C. Thank God for this business, for the people he placed there & praise the Lord for their generosity in times like these. If anyone ever asks who they should use as a mechanic, the answer will ALWAYS be Christian Brothers from here on out.

They replaced some hoses and told me the problem was fixed, but the car continued smoking afterward. I brought it back again, and they kept my vehicle for several days and drove it multiple times, only to tell me they "couldn't find anything wrong." Meanwhile, the original issue was still happening. At that point, I completely lost trust in this shop. Not only were they extremely expensive, but despite spending over $4,000 there, my vehicle issues only continued getting worse. The first time the vehicle stopped starting, I ended up replacing the starter myself. It started again afterward, but only lasted about a week before it stopped starting once more. That's when I finally decided to take it to the Jeep dealership for another inspection. I was then informed that the engine is now seized and I'm being quoted around $11,000 for a new engine. I'm extremely disappointed with the repeated misdiagnosis and lack of urgency regarding serious symptoms like engine shaking and exhaust smoke. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this shop to anyone.

He was on time, professional, and clearly knew what he was doing. He explained everything in a way that made sense, didn't try to upsell anything unnecessary, and made sure the job was done right. My A/C is now blowing cold again like it should, and the car is running perfectly. You can tell he takes pride in his work and cares about doing a quality job. On top of that, the convenience of him coming to me saved a lot of time and hassle. I'd definitely recommend him to anyone looking for reliable and honest mobile mechanic work.

However, I am very disappointed with the level of expertise and outcome of the visit. My 2014 Jeep compass has had the check engine light on for a week, steering locked up last week, and has had delayed clicking start. Justin arrived, I gave him the full history of my vehicle (no problems for 10 years) and the issues occurring the last month or so which prompted the call. He started running tests, even drove the car around to see if he could replicate what I had been experiencing. About 30 minutes into the visit he said he couldn't replicate any of the issues; that's okay, as I mentioned it only happened about 50% of the time. But he sat in my car another 20-30 minutes or so, told me he had to call his boss because he was completely stumped. Not really what you want to hear, but even I started making suggestions of what it could be so he could at least do something for me. At the end of the visit he basically just said "sorry I have no idea what's wrong, maybe replace your battery?"... the only thing he found was a sensor on my engine needed replacement, but it's totally unrelated to the other issues. I ended up having to pay $150 for literally no better idea what's wrong with my car and not feeling any safer to drive it. It was a huge waste of my time and now I'm out $150, and I still had to take it to another shop that already figured out the problem not even 24 hours later. Save yourself some money and go to a real auto shop. I understand that some technicians may be learning or lack the knowledge to dive deeper, but someone should be going with them to assist so your customers aren't left feeling robbed and confused.

They're usually quick and affordable, however, this instance took 12 days to replace a coolant housing. --On 04/23 I brought my car in at 5:13PM when the temp coolant housing cracked and leaked coolant, overheating the engine. Firestone let me know that they would get to it in the morning, Saturday. Service writer was Jordan. He called an hour later letting me know it would be $50 to even look at it. --On 04/24 they called me letting me know they will order the parts and will receive them Saturday morning to complete by Saturday. Technician was Marcus. Quote was $749 for the housing and then $129 to flush the coolant fluid. --On 04/25 they called me letting me know they received the housing, but was missing a part. They'll order from Kia Monday, receive Tuesday to complete the job. --On 04/28/26 they called letting me know they were still waiting on a part, it'll be in tomorrow. --On 04/29/26 I called, they were still waiting on the part, should be in tomorrow. --On 04/30/26 I called, still waiting on the part, should be in tomorrow. --On 05/01/26 I called, they said they were still waiting on the part. I went up to Firestone to get some things in my car I needed. They again said now they were waiting on a gasket. A manager would call me in the morning. --On 05/02/26 I went up to Firestone around 10am, spoke with Scott (store manager) who told me the engine cover was put on a workbench and "grew legs and walked away", the assumption being another tech threw it away. Scott offered 10% off the bill to cover "a day or two of a rental" and a complimentary service check should I return, stating the part would be in Monday and I could get my car back and he would call me. --On 05/04/26 I called in the evening, service told me "looks like we are still waiting on a part"... I reiterated that Scott said it would be in and the service tech said "yes, we will get the part tomorrow, Scott said if you called to let you know you'll have your car tomorrow" At this point, due to the mistake on Firestone's part, I don't feel like I should be responsible to eat the cost of finding other transportation. --On 05/05/26 I received the call that my car was ready. I picked up my car at 4:40pm. The bill shows nothing about the part they thew away, but it does show having received the gasket Thursday. Reflected in the bill is simply a 10% military service discount (amounting to $106). --On 05/05 and 05/06 I attempted to call Scott. Since picking up my car, the EPB sensor has been tripped and my parking brake, auto hold, and cruise control functions do not work. --On 05/07 I spoke with Scott, who felt the $106 to cover the cost of a day of rental and Uber up to Firestone and complimentary LOF (Lube, Oil, Filter) service was sufficient. He offered to fix the EPB sensor but my trust is non-existent at this point. My total bill came to $1,098, after the "military discount". Which was still higher than the original quoted amount, even factoring in the tax. Take from this experience what you will. I try to be thorough when it comes to negative reviews. I understand things happen. Having a part come in without all the components once is understandable for a single day delay, but an additional component is unlikely. The clean photo attached shows the engine cover they replaced, which is probably as big as my torso. Throwing out the cover to my engine is just negligence, causing a several day delay in returning my car to me with very little compensation (if any, based on the "discount" versus original quote). There are plenty of other places in Surprise to take your car, and unfortunately, I won't be using Firestone again. Photos attached: coolant leak, completed job (with replaced engine cover), and new warning lights my car currently has, along with line items on the bill and the total amount.

We call and made an appointment to bring our car the next day. The folks at Wilhelm did a quick examination and brought us the bad or badder news. We had two quotes; one at $1900 and one at $1600. The difference being off brand components. Our service tech did give us a moment and we chose the lesser cost option. They told us that our car could be ready by 4pm that afternoon and they offered to take us home and pick us up when the car was ready. We really appreciated their offer (we live about 18 miles outside of Surprise). Their driver was friendly coming and going. The service was prompt; however as we drove off our engine and transmission were lurching. We made one stop and decided to immediately bring back our car back to the shop. The quickly took it back and we waited. They said they needed to drive it for about 10 miles to reset the computer engine system because it was self adjusting. We waited another 20 minutes and our car was ready again. We got in drove off and all seems good. In summary, Wilhelm Automotive was courteous, efficient, and responsive. Staff was all very friendly and we will bring back our car if we have other service needs. We did get a "free" sunscreen. My wife and I laugh and call it our $1600 sun shade.
