Well everybody. I swing by Sun City to check in on my good friend out there from time to time. In the process of helping her get to and from running golf cart errands I have dealt with this business in Youngstown. This establishment in this quiet, cute, elderly community is not standing on solid, GOOD, community business ethics. I'm sorry to say. My friend, who brought one of her carts in for a tune mistakenly had done so at the start of this year. So this cart shouldn't need a tune, it hadn't been driven. No folks this is where a Good, Ethical place of business lets that customer know she doesn't need that. She may need this or that but not another tune. Let alone Re-bill her because she's elderly with dementia. See where I am going here everyone? Make sure to ask questions. They probably do things like this to folks all the time here and it's sad when elderly get taken for a ride by the Golf Cart people in Your neighborhood. Naturally you do get a big smile and hand shake as you walk out though. God Bless them for that, I guess. My friend, bless her heart just paid because she doesn't want the headache. They lost her business forever. She's now selling BOTH carts to not have to deal with all this again.WOW! Sad. read more

Took it in the first time for unknown issues. they said all batteries needed to be replaced, so we did. 2 weeks later it stopped working. took it back for them to say they missed that the old batteries had corroded the connectors. they also crossed wires when reinstalling our electrical "flag" and had to correct that. when we got it back the second time, our radio, which worked fine when we dropped it off, was no longer working in the 2 front speakers. when we called about the issue the owner, Josh, said he wasn't a redo repair guy and couldnt fix it and made NO OFFER to help get it fixed. we also asked about a piece of equipment left dangling, which Josh admitted to seeing but said he didn't bother to fix it, or mention it, because it wasn't something we brought up. keep in mind we didn't even know it was an issue, but Josh did, but he chose to ignore it. i will not be returning and suggest you find another place to take yours as wel. read more

In Feb 2018 I had my golf cart towed by One Stop. The owner/mechanic told me my 1984 Club Car engine could not be repaired for less than $1800. I called my regular mechanic who diagnosed the problem as NO OIL. I saved quite a bit of money with a second opinion! I couldn't be any disappointed with peter and his "team". I had peter tow my 1995 (48v) club car to his "establishment" due to the fact my cart quit running and didn't have time to troubleshoot the issue myself and I was going out of town for a short visit with family. After 2 day's of their diagnosis peter called me and said the cart needed all new batteries etc.. so I said wow! The batteries are only 2 years old? He said " actually almost 2 1/2 " I said geez peter I should get 4 years at least out of them right? So I told him to price out new batteries and call me back, he returned the phone call about 3 hours later and said "you only need 1 battery and I'll sell you a used 1 and you'll be up and running " 3 days go by and I was returning home from my trip so I figured I'd call and pay for the "service " and hopefully when he had time return my cart..... after trying to call him for 4 hours, he finally called back and I say" hey peter how's it going?" He says " I'm doing good but you're cart isn't doing to well!" I let him explain the issue he "found".. he told me "whoever wired this cart up had everything backwards..(I wired it up 2 1/2 years ago and it's been running fine..I'm a electrician by trade for 30 years, daisy chaining isn't rocket science!) He continues to tell me when his mechanic touches the cart it "shocks the hell out of him!" He ultimately told me the motor was shot and he's not working on it anymore and he will deliver it back off....upon flying back into town I took the dog out and looked at the cart, he had turn signals, horn, headlights and taillights wiring cut all the way down to stubs leaving with a basket case..to make light of this long agonizing story, I fixed it myself for a $35 switch and a few hours of my time! Again with him saying it was shocking his "guy" If it was true, I would as a mechanic or just curiosity would want to know " why" its doing that and fix it.. it's not a rabid dog!! Just had a diagnosis done on a 1980 G1-E at 1-Stop and I'll say this much, they're A-OK and I would recommend you try them for any of your late model carts. Most places in the area wouldn't even touch a cart this old as there really isn't any place to get replacement parts for them. Not here, they're willing to take the chance and that says a lot. Nothing ventured nothing gained. I gained the knowledge of knowing what's wrong with this old beast I'm restoring for my neighbors and I'm not in a guessing game. Sure they couldn't fix the issue with the forward/reverse coils but I was able to go online and fine a solution to the problem I can fix on my own. Had they fixed it for me I would give a perfect 5 star. Friendly and willing to help out an old cart & an old lady back yard mechanic. Best $84.50 I spent on the cart for knowing what needs doing. And $45 of that was the round trip flat bed tow charge. Not bad at all. Tks guys. read more
