Not a good experience especially towards the end. I paid almost $100 a month to store my items in a…read moreunit. When I retrieved my items I found several dead mice, at least 5 live lizards and saw 3 live black widow spiders. I also found that my mattress I stored was ruined by water damage. I tried calling on the day of move out and got no answer. When I spoke with someone the following day, I was told I only needed to give a 10 day notice before the next payment to not be charged. I am well within the 10 day period as my payments are due on the first of each month. I then received a call 30 minutes later saying they require a 30 day notice of move out? That would be an absolutely ridiculous expectation for a storage unit. The lack of clear communication and poor pest control warrant the one they are receiving from me. Please find pictures below for your reference. There are none of the black widows because I immediately stomped on those- I have a HUGE fear of spiders.

I feel if they have lowered the prices for new contracts we should also be able to get the same prices since we've been customers for over 6 years. If they allowed us the same price as new customers I would have added stars to my rating.

We used Your Extra Closet to store furniture, artwork and other home items while we were in between…read morehouses. our items were in a climate controlled storage unit for 5 months and within that time all of our belongings became covered in mold. we had paid extra for the insurance coverage on our unit and made a claim to help cover the cost to replace our items (most were family heirlooms and not replaceable). The insurance company has completely ghosted us and we have heard nothing for over a month. This has been incredibly frustrating and upsetting given we've lost many pieces of furniture that were very special to us. I do not recommend using their services at all.

The Manager, Chris, was more than helpful when we had a billing issue that was borderline in terms of the issue being our mistake. He fixed it for us...and sadly that just never happens anymore. I have more children and Oxford/ Ole Miss will be a home base for us for a long time. We will come see Chris again for sure.
