After failed attempts to reach management, i then called the phone number for new storage and finally got a 'live' person. Long story short, the manager tried to tell me I was confused and that my son's belongings were not stored at the location I was at and that I stored them at another location . (what?? I know where we stored his belongings and even had the key fob which had the storage location). Bottom line is that his belongings were moved without our authorization and without notifying us AND his bedding, towels, and comforter, and front cage to his fan were all missing Why I never got a straight story as to WHY his belongings were moved and WHY the manager felt compelled to put the blame on me, I will never know. What I do know is that there are plenty of other storage companies to choose from and you should stay clear of this company. If zero stars were an option, that is what I would have given this company.Follow Up (8/27/20) - After my review, I was contacted by the district manager regarding the issue I had. He was EXTREMELY accommodating and apologetic for the miscommunication that occurred with regard to my transaction. I have to say that the fact he took ownership of the issue and did not try to blame ME for what happened went a long, long way in my book and has once again restored my faith in this company (despite the owner's response to put this back on me). In addition, his handling and resolution of this situation went above and beyond the call of duty and for that I would more than likely use them again. All companies slip up every once again and I understand that . I can say without reservation that should a mistake be made, this company will go above and beyond to rectify the situation. As for the owner's response, it is clear that the initial set up for the account was for a different location than we put my son's belongings. So, because I just put the account on auto pay through my credit card, I was simply deleting the receipts that I received in my email for my monthly payments. Should I have been reviewing the complete email receipts monthly? Maybe. Should my account have been set up for the location I wanted? Absolutely. Also - you may want to rethink where you leave keys as it sounds that all keys are left on the right hand side inside each door at all your facilities - because that is where we found my son's key for the unit we initially moved into. Perhaps a lock box of some kind with the key inside would be more appropriate.

We used Your Extra Closet to store furniture, artwork and other home items while we were in between…read morehouses. our items were in a climate controlled storage unit for 5 months and within that time all of our belongings became covered in mold. we had paid extra for the insurance coverage on our unit and made a claim to help cover the cost to replace our items (most were family heirlooms and not replaceable). The insurance company has completely ghosted us and we have heard nothing for over a month. This has been incredibly frustrating and upsetting given we've lost many pieces of furniture that were very special to us. I do not recommend using their services at all.

The Manager, Chris, was more than helpful when we had a billing issue that was borderline in terms of the issue being our mistake. He fixed it for us...and sadly that just never happens anymore. I have more children and Oxford/ Ole Miss will be a home base for us for a long time. We will come see Chris again for sure.

If I could give zero stars I would. This place is a total scam - I called to rent a unit for one…read moremonth, even though I only needed it for a few weeks to store my daughter's belongings until she could move to another apartment. I was told I had to pay for the rest of this month plus the entire month of August, no proration on that month even though we would be vacating it on the 10th. I was given a quote which I agreed to pay. After giving what I considered too much personal info (SS#, DOB etc) we were near the end of the transaction when I was suddenly disconnected. I tried to call back for several minutes and when I finally got through I was told by the same representative that the price had increased in the few minutes that the call had dropped. I was in total shock and said I didn't understand. She then proceeded to compare them to an airline and due to supply and demand their prices go up at any given time. Um excuse me you're a storage facility NOT an airline. I immediately said nope not getting ripped off and terminated the call. There are plenty of storage options in Oxford, no need to use these scam artists! I truly believe they knew I was in a desperate situation and took total advantage of it. Try University Ave Storage they were awesome to deal with, and have very fair pricing.
