I hired this company in September of 2020 when the owner Susanne Miller responded to a post I had on Facebook seeking help for my elderly mother. She convinced me that her company, Your Estate Coach could assist my mother with obtaining VA benefits for her through a program called Aid and Attendance. Because of COVID, she explained that her company was working virtually. I took her at face value and paid $2500 to process and submit a claim for Aid and Attendance with the VA. I never met Susanne personally nor anyone from her company, rather, any communications I had with them were done via e-mail. I should have realized at that point that was a red flag but in my eagerness to help my needy mother I overlooked it.
Beginning a few weeks after she assured me she had submitted my mothers claim, I emailed her asking for proof that it had been submitted such as a receipt notice of some acknowledgement from VA. I told her that I had not received any correspondence from VA and wanted to make sure it had actually been submitted to VA. I emailed both Susanne and her assistant but their replies were usually weeks late, they told me that the claim had been submitted but disregarded my request(s) for proof. By March of 2021, I had had enough of their evasive non-response(s) and I sent a certified letter to her asking for a refund, which letter prompted Susanne to call me and discuss the matter. She assured me that the claim had been submitted and was pending, and that she would give me proof thereof. Unfortunately, neither she nor her assistant never did provide any proof whatsoever. I emailed and called them numerous times asking for proof the claim had been submitted but they never did provide me with anything.
Last week, I decided to go to their office in Fullerton to discuss the failure to submit a claim to VA and what they were going to do about it. When I arrived I went to their office and the front door was plastered with legal notices from their landlord who filed a legal case for eviction from their office for failure to pay rent for many months. I examined the notices and learned that the landlord had received an Order for eviction for non-payment of rent and the landlord had also changed the locks to the office. So, it appears I am now out of luck to obtain any redress or refund of my money because Your Estate Coach has been evicted from its offices. I absolutely would caution anybody to stay far away from this company !! read more
