In reviewing numerous Yelp and google reviews, we found Emilie at Home Methods and instantly fell in love with her bold and bright color palettes and the right amount of eclectic and classic to really match our personalities. We were still in escrow when we met Emilie and she came over to the home even before closing to take measurements and help us start envisioning our new home. Emilie walked us through every part of the process with expertise and enthusiasm. Emilie gave us quotes for helping pick out design ideas at various cost levels as well as helping us install her vision with appropriate contractors, delivery personnel, and shipping/storing until installment day. In the first round we decided on living room/dining room furniture, wallpaper/paint, art and decor. Once we were living in the home, we realized we needed to update the hardwood floors, which were not standing up to our pack of pets. Emilie helped us then identify some awesome luxury plank vinyl to protect the original hardwood underneath and a fantastic professional to install them. All of Emilies contractors were professional, kind, prompt, and provided excellent work product. Emilie herself is kind, personable, incredibly knowledgeable, prompt, enthusiastic, and flexible. I sent Laura images and agenda items ahead of the visits and she came prepared for the most productive use of our time. I couldn't believe how much we were able to cover in 2 hours- paint colors, wallpaper, fabric, carpet samples, built in design, material suggestions, hardware suggestions, the works! While the cost per hour may seem high for new home owners, the cost savings of her suggestions and vendors she recommends ended up paying for the consultations and then some. I'm sure that value goes even further with access to her trade discounts for full service design. Even without leveraging Laura to order on your behalf, she brings expertise on local vendors and online stores where you can find items you wouldn't otherwise know about. We ended up saving money with our contractor by leaning on suggestions Laura gave us, her notes and drawings are thorough with actionable plans.
