I stopped by to support a local shop and a young lady told me, on a Saturday, my jeans would be ready by the following Saturday for less than $20. I show up the following Saturday and a different young lady tries to give me several wrong clothing items. I explain to her I just have jeans. She comes back to say they're not here, she has no idea where they are. What? She says she will go get a manager. An older man also has no idea where my jeans are then proceeds to tell me they might with a seamstress, he has no idea when they'll be done, how there's a national shortage on pulleys for zippers (huh?), and he'll call me soon. He said the employee never should have said one week. He promised to ship me the pants once found, free of charge to take of the hassle. I explain that I have one more weekend there and can stop by the following Saturday. He is relieved, I leave, hoping they find my jeans and a pulley. I get a text on Tuesday that my jeans are in and ready for pickup. I show up the following Saturday. A different young lady helps me. My total is $28! Mind you, I didn't get these dry cleaned, they are still brand new and only needed a pulley. I was also told by the manager that these would even be shipped for free, I was just being nice by stopping back by. I asked if that was really the price, told that's what I owe to take my jeans, so I reluctantly did, but wow. What a mess! My jeans are fixed perfectly, 5 stars on the seamstress' work, but 0 stars for the false promises on when I'd be able to pick up and for how much. I never asked for anything for free but to charge me significantly more than quoted after the item went missing and telling me it would be free? Come on, stay true to something you said! The lack of effort/keeping their word and inability to know where a customer's item is screams unprofessionalism. I cannot recommend this place any less.

Rip N Stitch gets full marks on all of the above. I called on a weekend to see if I could get the sleeves of a suit jacket shortened by the following weekend. On the phone they said "We're scheduled out to Wednesday--should be no problem!" So I took the jacket in that day. It took about 2 minutes to get the sleeve pinned up. I was told because of the buttons it would be a little more than the standard price for sleeves, but $45 sounded fair and I appreciated knowing the price up front! They also said I could pick it up any time on Wednesday, no need to call ahead. Within about 10 minutes I was on my way with the claim ticket in hand. On Wednesday I picked up the jacket on my lunch break. As promised, it was ready and the price was $45 + tax. Finally, the work was done well. I have a jacket that fits perfectly, and you can't even tell it was ever altered.

I got exceptional service from the employees and the prices are better than other cleaners in town! And they're quick! I love being able to pick stuff up next day! I had a Sherpa pullover that I needed cleaned between two business trips (I was only home for 2-3 days between the trips). They were able to get my item cleaned in time for me to pack it for the 2nd trip! All other cleaners I called told me it would be longer. No need for that admonition from the cashier. A simple, "It is Prom time, we are backed up terribly and are unable to meet your deadline," would have been acceptable. I may return, but my wife took her pants back to the store and will wait 7-10 days and save $70.00 on alteration fees, and receive outstanding customer service.
