PAD SEW YEW NOODLES and PINEAPPLE CURRY
    Shelby S.

Recently tried this spot for lunch and it was super good! I can't believe I hadn't been before, as I love exploring the Thai options Santa Barbara has to offer. This restaurant gets an extra star in my opinion for having parking right on site. The service was awesome and the restaurant was really busy even during the lunch hour. I highly recommend the curry! It was really delicious.

I'm visiting from Las Vegas and whenever I'm in California I always look for the highly recommended Thai restaurants. Your Choice was recommended by a native Santa Barbaran friend and this place did not disappoint. I had the papaya salad, very spicy as I liked it and they were kind enough to give me extra spices if I wanted to add more. Coupled with that I saw great reviews for the Chili Tamarind chicken wings and I finished those off in the car driving back home. The aim was to taste one but once I started I could not stop. So far this is the best Thai food I've tasted in Santa Barbara. Staff was very friendly and were kept busy with a packed restaurant (which in itself, says a lot). Ambiance was casual but the vibe added to the jovial atmosphere. Would definitely go again and highly recommend.

The Tom Kha Seafood, Pad Thai Noodles, Spicy Fried Fish, and White Jasmine Rice were great. Delicious Thai comfort food.

It's honestly about time for an update. My last review was back in 2016, and Your Choice continues to be one of those beloved neighborhood spots that truly deserves the love. The space has had a major indoor refresh, but the quality of the food and the genuine dining experience remain exactly the same. This is one of my go-to places whether I'm coming with friends or grabbing a casual bite with my daughter. It's consistently on point. The food hits every time, the vibe is welcoming, and it truly feels like a community hub rather than just a restaurant. Orders are handled quickly whether dining in or taking out. Even though I live in Ventura now, I always make a stop whenever I'm back in my hometown. Let's talk food. My favorites on the menu are the Thai chili lime wings, green papaya salad, hot pot of tom kha with chicken, garlic pepper shrimp, and spring rolls. I also love their Thai iced tea and Vietnamese coffee. Everything is perfect for sharing (or not), and leftovers somehow taste even better the next day. This is a family-owned business, and huge shoutout to Piti (son of the owner) and Kathy, who do such an amazing job running the restaurant and keeping it rooted in community. They're always finding ways to give back and create fun experiences. They also host Saturday evening ice cream pop-ups featuring their side-quest business, Creaminal, which honestly deserves a separate review of its own. If you haven't been in a while, this is your sign to come back. A longtime favorite that still delivers. You can order takeout or delivery. There's a small parking lot, plus nearby street parking available.

We planned to visit Eat Creaminal for ice cream after searching Instagram for ice cream shops in Santa Barbara, and discovered it's located inside Your Choice Thai Restaurant, so we stayed for both dinner and dessert! Dinner was excellent. I forgot to snap photos before digging in, but every dish was flavorful and clearly homemade...deep, clean, and perfectly balanced. We ordered the Crispy Tofu Salad, Panang Seafood Curry, Basil Eggplant with Beef, Pork Belly Fried Rice, and Pad Thai with Chicken. Service was quick and considerate. We finished with ice cream (photos attached). I had Rocky's Matcha and Rocky's Houjicha, and also tried the Saffron Pistachio. Like the dinner dishes, each flavor was rich and delicious. I will definitely be coming back when visiting my niece at UCSB. We joked that I'll use the visit as an excuse just to eat here again! The restaurant is on a quieter stretch of State Street...easy to find, with parking behind the building and plenty of seating when we arrived for an early dinner. The ambiance is warm, clean, and relaxed. Thank you, Your Choice Thai, for a great meal!

This is a restaurant in Santa Barbara that I always love to visit. The people here are always responsible and loyal, and of course, the food is delicious. Everything is great, but the chicken is especially amazing. I highly recommend everyone try it. The staffs are kind, and the restaurant itself is very cute. I'm always grateful to you all! Will see you soon :)

I was recommended this by a friend and I am so glad! It wasn't super busy when I went in, even on a Saturday afternoon, and my food was ready pretty quickly. My pad Thai was lovely- with strong flavors of peanut, tamarind, and lime. The one drawback was that the shrimp did not taste fresh, which is a disappointment, especially so close to the coast. I would definitely come back to give it a try, if not just for the patio seating!

I absolutely love coming here! I like to stop by on occasion with my friends any time I have a Thai craving. The restaurant itself is super cute on the inside and feels really comforting. All of the staff are always incredibly kind and make the dining experience a breeze. My go-to order is always the pad see ew (with chicken) and a thai tea. This combo never fails for me and they simply make delicious food and drinks! Your Choice also sells/hosts Creaminal on Saturday nights for ice cream sundaes and sells ice cream pints on other days. The sundaes are always creative and yummy so I thought I'd mention that too! I find myself coming here for both the restaurant food and the ice cream pop-up! I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to satisfy a Thai craving and for anyone looking to enjoy a fun dessert on Saturday nights!

My favorite Thai place around!!!! Best customer service and quality food all around. Fave lunch spot and with great lunch specials as well as delicious choices, it's a sure thing! I have had a variety of fave foods from here from their Panang curry and jasmine rice to pad Thai and/ or glass noodles to their chicken skewers and papaya salad! I love it all. I have dined In and they are courteous and friendly but also quick to bring food during the lunch hour. Often times I order online and pick up and have always found parking in their small lot. People are always coming and going and they keep their customers happy with their quick and organized service. The lady who works here is always sweet and recognizes my coworker and I with a friendly greeting. Highly recommend so check this place out for lunch or dinner. Good ambiance and dine in service with plenty of tables.

Good Thai food, decent amount and good flavor. I like the sunroom area when it's sunny and warm. Great spot to hang out with friends for a casual dinner.

Excellent food, we ordered the tom ka, beef salad, pad see ew, and hojicha and mud pie ice cream. Truly everything exceeded our expectations! You will NOT regret coming here.

    Tom Kai Tofu Soup mmmmm
    Shelly C.

Best Thai in town. The TomKai Tofu soup is incredible, my mouth waters any time I think of it - the broth is coconut milk and lime, with chili oil, plus mushrooms, cilantro and tofu. That said, my daughter went on a quest to try and duplicate it when she moved to Seattle...she's a pretty good cook but she could not get it just right. When she went to Thailand, theirs was also not as good. Other than that, I really love their Chicken Satay, Larb Salad, Panang Curry, Lime Fish, Pineapple Fried Rice with Tofu, and so many other favorite dishes too many to list! The service is AAA+++ super excellent. It's a family run business. The current owners took over from their parents, they were often there as children doing their homework. Also the restaurant has been remodeled, I liked it better before (I miss the comfortable booths), but it is clean and well lighted. You will love it!

    Madii L.

The food here is delicious, especially the green papaya salad which was my personal favorite!! The thai tea was a little too sweet for my tastes and the pad thai was good considering the area. I also made a second trip to get their thai tea oreo ice cream in a pint which is SO yummy I highly recommend.

Very expensive. I had to pay extra for onions and what was supposed to be cilantro separately because they didn't update their website

Why is there a line outside of the restaurant on Saturday mornings? I've noticed it for the past few weeks.

There's a donut pop up every so often. It's called kinbakeshop!

Located at the very end of the SB Public Market and right next to Cooneys bar. Their menu offers chicken, pork, beef and tofu Bánh Mi, as well as meat skewers, stir fry and salads. Just to name a few. I've tried the chicken and beef skewers which comes in the Hungry Box. I subbed two of the skewers for beef, but in all honesty the beef was too too tough to break down. My one pet peeve is meat that is chewy, dry and too tough to eat. Although it was flavorful, but I wouldn't order it again. I did enjoy the chicken skewer though! The Hungry Box also comes with rice and a salad. Both of which were simple but a nice compliment to the skewers. On my recent visit I ordered the Buffalo wings. They were delicious! I appreciate that the sauce wasn't too spicy. I haven't had buffalo wings in a long time and these really hit the spot! The French fries were also good and not too salty. Overall, three monkeys is worth checking out if you're visiting the public market. Customer service is fast and efficient.

Service isn't really a thing SBPM since it's a walk up to order and then pick it up when your buzzer goes off, but we liked the comfortable and casual setup. We ordered the Hungry Box #1 with chicken and a chicken bahn mi, and both were very good. The chicken was the same in both meals, and it was well seasoned and nicely grilled, but still juicy. The salad with the box and the pickled veggies in the bahn mi were fresh and crisp too. Just a comment on the bahn mi is there the ratio of bread to filling in the bahn mi was just a little too much bread. Overall though, it we enjoyed it and it made for a very nice meal.

Chili crunch dumplings: 5 I love my dumplings and this is up there!! This was probably our favorite item. Would've gotten 2 orders looking back. Curry noodles w/ crab: 5 Amazing flavor. Loved the noodle texture. More soupy. Crab was a nice addition, a decent portion. Not shredded or small chunks but also not the most supple crab pieces either. But was happy that we added! Service: 10/5!!! Kathleen was amazing. So so nice. We originally had a different order but we kept going back and forth on items. Kathleen was not only helpful in helping us decide but came back to our table right before they started cooking and asked if we wanted to change our order only because the curry might give more contrast to our other items. I thought that was just so incredibly kind and really showed how she was invested in our experience. This is why I really wanted to write this review! Ambiance 5/5: Open kitchen is really nice and like that they had outdoor area. Garage parking next door too that wasn't too pricy. Overalls cute decor and clean space.

Wowowow this place was great!…read more Amazing ambiance, beautiful restaurant with cushy seats. Make sure to get a reservation! They fill up quick. Great customer service. Our waiter was kind, funny, and efficient. She made me feel great even after making a mess with devouring all of the food. We went during happy hour, so we got the smashed cucumber salad, which was simple cucumber with herbs and dressing. It was nice and refreshing. The smashing gave the cucumber a great crunch and lots of crevices for the delicious sauce to get stuck in. Also on the happy hour menu, we ordered the crispy shrimp and scallop dumplings. These were perfectly cooked, crunchy outside, soft and chewy inside. They were obviously fishy, which I loved, and paired well with the creamy sauce. That sauce was so delicious, I could have just drank the whole thing. We then ate the bluefin tuna crispy rice, this was truly phenomenal. A remake of the famous Nobu dish, it is made of crispy squares of rice, topped with raw tuna of outstanding quality, and a single sliver of jalapeño. The quality on this dish truly spoke for itself. Again, I could have eaten many. Then we had the pork belly and KFC baos. My personal favorite was the pork belly, which was soft and juicy, topped with a sweet sauce and crunchy bread and butter pickles. These bao buns were plush and moist. The KFC was also delicious, with a crunchy piece of Korean fried chicken, coleslaw, and a creamy sauce. Finally for the savory food, we had the curry noodles. For some reason, I was expecting more of a traditional pasta with a curry flavoring. Instead, this was a full on noodle curry soup- a questionable choice in the 93 degree heat. I found it a little on the sweet side for my taste, but it was very flavorful, with spices and coconut coming through. I appreciated the wavy noodles and pieces of vegetables to add some crunch and substance. For dessert, we had the Sticky Mango Rice Bingsu. So yummy! It was shaved milk ice, topped with a mango syrup that had cooked chunks of mango upon a spread of creamy coconut sticky rice, and topped with crispy coconut and- upon our request -vanilla ice cream. I loved the textural aspect of this dish, the cool shaved ice, chewy rice, syrupy mangoes, crunchy coconuts and creamy ice cream. It was gone in an instant. Though this meal was on the pricier side, the quality of food made it entirely worth it!
